I'm from Vermont and live deep in the woods. My favorite part is the solitude and the mountains. I'm a 6th gen. Vermonter and I have no plans on leaving, even though I absolute detest winter.

New York (upstate) here!! Born and raised so there are plenty of family members and friends around. Not the greatest weather, but this winter has been kind to us so far!
DH and I call the Twin Cities home but we're currently in Austin, TX. As much as we still miss home after a year and a half, we absolutely love the people and diversity down here. Plus, we're on the edge of Hill Country which is beautiful!
@PSUBecky23 I'm originally from outside of Pittsburgh and went to school at PSU for most of my undergrad before the navy. I used to play soccer against Bethlehem in high school, and unless they moved it, the Riverhounds stadium is still out there, too, yes? My coach used to play for them and now one of my high school buddies does.
Born & raised in Bergen County NJ, moved to Sussex County last year and it was the best move I ever did. People are so much nicer, I'm surrounded by mountains, lakes and minutes from "town." Still close/far enough from the beach and city to be happy with it. I love it here and the seasons changing here is gorgeous. Amazing place to raise children.
I'm a Mainer, born and raised. Spent 6 years in Rhode Island for college (Pharmacy school). I absolutely love the outdoors and Maine has a lot to offer from the ocean to the mountains
I'm in Pa, North East specifically. Fall is my favorite time of year. Plus we're only 20 mins from the largest fair in the state, Bloomsburg. It brings back memories of going there as a kid, in 4H and great food! This baby will definitely be going this year. Unlike in 2011 when it was cancelled due to the huge flood.
@irishblessings916 I haven't gone to the Bloomsburg fair since I was 6!!! It's been 20 years! I lived in Southwest PA, just north of Pittsburgh, but I traveled the whole state. Have fun at the fair!!!
@irishblessings916 - that flood was horrid! I'm an upstate NYer and we got married Nov '11 in Rehoboth, DE. So glad we chose to do it there beforehand bc all of the venues around us were completely wiped out! 3 ppl I know had to cancel their weddings
@PSUBecky23 looks like we will be in Kennet instead (we just put an offer in) I grew up in downingtown and am close with a mom from a14 who grew up there too!

I kid...I kid...but I do love living in the city and being close to beaches. It's nice never being bored or lonely. Also, the pizza isn't half bad.
