So now the sex/gender conversation is turning into a completely different topic. "eye roll," I guess I see how every thread is going to get pissed on by trolls. It's been called a gender reveal for decades. Now because we live in a society where everyone is offended, or decided they want to be a girl after being born male, or vice versa we have to change everything? Ridiculous. Honestly this was a thread started for fun, get it FUN....and instead some "politically correct" what have you, has to make this something else.
Lighten up.
No. Just no. Educate yourself please. Also, I only see one "troll" here who needs to "lighten up".
@Veronica0422 I think it's great someone came along and ascertained we were acknowledging the difference between sex and gender. As someone who WILL be having a gender/sex reveal I didn't take offense to the clarification. Yes, the thread was started for fun but ensuring the board understood the difference is quite alright too. I read through the responses and I thought people were pretty chill with their responses, especially since I myself did indeed originally comment in the "fun" and assert that I do want to know the sex of my child, have no sway on what the baby's sex is yet and will rejoice in a fun party telling people we are pregnant and what sex the baby is!
@CharmBombExplosion----first off everyone here has their own opinion CLEARLY. If you want to get all bent, and resort to name calling like some child, that's fine, but I won't sink to your pathetic level. I'm far from insensitive, I just think it's ridiculous that a post about something innocent and fun could turn & morph into something that is a completely different issue. It's the new online epidemic. EVERY ONE is suddenly offended by everything. Never did I ever say that transgender isn't real, in my opinion that is so far from the point of this thread that it threw me for a loop. It's my OPINION. I think "sex reveal party" sounds ridiculous, so I PERSONALLY won't have one. TO EACH THEIR OWN!!! I will have a GENDER reveal party because hey guess what?? That's my f*cking choice. So you can ridicule my opinion all you want but I refuse to apologize for it.
@Veronica0422 If you would like to post your opinions here in the S16 board, we have an entire thread dedicated to do so labeled Unpopular Opinions in which you can state said opinion.
That being said, my seemingly popular opinion was that you took a fun thread that did not get bogged down by the apparent turn of events and made it into something dramatic, hence the reaction you got from @CharmBombExplosion. Also, even with asterisks, there's no need to swear at someone for disagreeing with you, and insulting them is just as bad as name calling, and is therefore in the same level.
I am no board moderator, but if you'd like to continue this discussion, it should probably be moved to Unpopular Opinions anyway, based on the fact that it is headed in a different direction than the original point of this thread.

Pretty sure that is name calling. I don't really care what you call your party because they're tacky and gift grabby anyway. However, there is a difference between sex and gender and I think it's important to educate people on the difference.
