My mom agreed with him which surprised me! Shes usually reminding him that I'm still capable of most things, but they don't want me breathing it...or standing on the ladder.
I guess I understand the ladder, but modern paints are completely safe for pregnant women. Good ventilation is important no matter what, but they are still safe for you to use.
DH is just something else entirely today. I asked him if we should go to target while we're out and get the storage cubby I want for the baby stuff, and all he says is "I think you should stop worrying about it." so I was like "I'm not worried about, I was just wanting to know if you wanted to go ahead and get it today or wait till later. So which would you like to do?" and then he just says "I already told you what I think" and then left the room.
Ughhhhhhhh I swear if this baby is anything like his father we're gonna have a fun time...

The first thing he said was "Why do you have so many fitted sheets for the crib on here? Didn't your brother give us a fitted sheet for the crib for Christmas?" I immediately got super defensive about how we'll need more than one sheet in case there are diaper leaks, spit ups, etc. and I have 4 sheets on the registry, one of which has been out of stock for forever so we probably won't get that one, so at the most we will have 4 of them including the one my brother gave us, plus if you wanted approval on the registry you should have shown some interest because I spent HOURS researching items and making this registry and you didn't help at all so stop criticizing. Anyway, it was a bit of an overreaction, and I'm sure a big part of it is that now that the shower invitations are out there I'm worried that no one will come and how embarrassing it would be for my hosts to have to cancel it. I didn't think anyone was going to host a shower for me, which had started to make me really sad, and so I was super happy when two friends did offer, and now I'm feeling insecure all over again. I apologized to DH for being overly defensive, and he apologized for being overly critical, but I still feel bad. He's been SO supportive throughout this pregnancy and I just hate that I jumped all over him. Ugh. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

This will be the first of many issues to come up. Sounds like you handled it well - try not to be too hard on yourself. And yes, 4 is a good amount - I've lived with 3 for two of my boys, I'm only getting more now because we still have a toddler in a crib.

My sleep schedule is jacked. Is anyone else having the worst time ever sleeping? Even if I don't have heartburn/acid reflux I can't fall asleep until at least after 2. I could be tired all day but I'll be wide awake. I've done tea and some yoga but I just can't my brain to shut off. Then I don't drag myself out of bed until about noon. Ugh
DP sorry but this email just came through and I'm laughing soooo hard. DH has awesome co workers and they're throwing us a shower...so that makes 3. I'm overwhelmed by that many and they're all in a 10 day span. ANYWAY this was the image on the email and I can't stop laughing at it.

YESSSS!!! Lol that's why I recommended sleep. I fall asleep too early, then I'm up from 11-2 or 3, then I fall asleep till 5 and my alarm goes off at 5:45. Half the time that I'm trying to sleep, I'm tossing and turning, and just when I get comfy, its time to pee. Then the process starts all over again. the 11-2 I'm usually up, and HUNGRY! On the off day that I go to bed late (the other night I fell asleep at 11), I'm up for the day at 4. I can't win.

Oh yes! I fall asleep for a couple of hours and am up all night, even with Benadryl or Unisom. They just end up leaving me groggy when I wake up from my short snooze. I feel your sleepiness. I've been watching lots of Netflix at night.

Thing is...I don't wanna. I hate painting. My back hurts. My feet are swollen. I just want it taken care of for me. That said, if the 16th (my allotted and planned—for 2 months in advance—date of when FIL should come up and paint) comes around and no one has done it, I'm painting myself. My mom says I'm being passive aggressive, but I think saying you'll ask your dad to help for over two months and making your wife nag the crap out of you, and never actually following through is passive aggressive. Or something else. But it's certainly annoying.

@cmerribury I get it. I wouldn't want to paint now. I'm too tired to get laundry done! I just find it funny when dh tries to give me rules to follow. I'd probably go do it despite the exhaustion just to spite him. It'd look like crap but it'd prove my point. Lol!

I can't fully agree on the idea of a surprise. In that case he could've given her a straight answer. "No, let's go buy it later."

I can post my 30w vs 37w (delivered at 37w6d) pics from DS1 if that helps - Not too much "bigger" per se, but dropping was involved - maybe more round if that helps. That picture is awesome - so how I feel right now!

A sip won't do anything. A glass won't do anything. Multiple glasses, you have a problem. Multiple repeated glasses over several days, please attend an AA meeting. Please try not to feel guilty.

@soxfan9968 I had a mimosa yesterday with all my fancy snackies. It was amazing. A glass of white wine with chicken marsala sounds tasty.
@ecwk I remember being enormous with my first (but a lot of it was swelling at the end). I feel just that big (minus the swelling) already, and I have no idea how I'm going to get bigger, but I know I will. I escaped without any stretch marks last time, but I can see that I won't be so lucky this time.
I'm loving all the "pregnant lady problems" sigs! So much LOL-ing.
Olive Garden was divine, and thanks to the squashing of my organs a la cmerribury's sig pic, I got full so fast, I have another whole meal sitting in my fridge! Winner!
@ecwk, it varies from woman to woman. A lot of people start to "level off" at this point. I just keep on getting bigger. I hit 30 weeks yesterday and thought to myself, "I'm not that big. Maybe it won't be as bad as last time." But then, I made a comparison pic of 30 to 39 weeks with my last pregnancy and realized the worst is yet to come. Lol.

I just realized I need to find a pediatrician and that freaked me out a little bit. I get so confused with having HMO insurance that I dread doing anything in that regard. I'll just add that to the list!
