@sarahfoley725 You just can't make that kind of stuff up.... Good gravy.
Seriously! As if the fact that we ended up living about 5 miles away from each other isn't crazy enough, his wife buys my baby crib. His wife was the first of about 10 people interested in my crib. I was really worried he was going to come pick it up but he didn't. I can't believe he had the balls to even say he knew me after all of that crap! Oh well
  • Anyone else feeling like they're having a super long contraction? Not painful, just feels like really constant. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

This is my first kid too but I think contractions ARE painful right? Maybe you're just sore from stretching? My sides low down have been having a pulling feeling for the last two days and it's a little painful at times but that's about it.
  • Hi ladies, hope you are all doing fine (although some DH's are a bit a ....fill in what ever word suits your husband right now, and for most of you first work day after holidays...)

I'm also wondering if everything is oke with kynbar5...

    Have a good day!
  • @2goofykids I sometimes have BH like that too. They can last for a minute or two and aren't painful, but very uncomfortable and makes it a little harder to breath properly. So annoying!

BH contractions can be like that. I can get like that if I'm doing too much. Lots if water and put your feet up. Warm baths can help relax things. Sounds like your uterus is just doing its thing :)

  • Anyone else have a hard time getting up this morning?? I had a restless night with dreams of explosions everywhere not sure if I should interpret that in a positive or negative way. I'm stressed from moving to our new house in a few weeks and having nothing prepared for this baby. I need this Monday to be over with already I just want to crawl back into bed. Hope all you ladies have a better Monday.

I'm not sure if this is what you're describing, but I have periods of time when my stomach is hard and I can practically feel it growing - like it's pulling away from my body. It sometimes lasts for hours. I really think it is just growth/the weight of my stomach. I wouldn't worry until you start to feel a rhythm of pain coming and going every few minutes. Those are real contractions.

I hit 30 weeks yesterday. Feeling like the end is in sight, but not feeling much urgency to get anything done/ready. Haha. We have 95% of what we need, but nothing is set up or washed. Haven't even thought about my hospital bag. I packed it at 37 weeks last time and it sat on my floor mocking me for three weeks. Watch this baby come early when I was prepared so far ahead of time for the two that came late. Haha.

Mine, too. Everything hurt (elbow, knee, back of neck)...it was terrible. I was just up front with him. I said "Listen, we don't want to go back to work either, and sitting around watching TV all day sounds fun, but that's not life...so sorry kiddo, back to school you go." Shockingly, it didn't really help...

I'm so looking forward to pregnancy number two so I know a little more about what my body is doing. I though baby was Rockin low down but I've been getting some high up kicks and rib pushes....but at the same time my hips, lower back, and crotch are all sore feeling.
  • Shockingly both of my girls were chomping at the bit to get out of the house today and daycare drop off with my crazy toddler went smoothly. I guess we're all sick of being cooped up in the house and looking at each other's ugly mugs.
  • Sad day this board is slow.  Hopefully it picks up soon since we're all back to work.  Miss you all!

  • @skruhmin my bump feels smaller the last couple days as well. What does it mean for the baby to engage? I'm a noob.
  • @skruhmin I was thinking the same thing! When I get back from lunch in an hour, it's on.

Head down and moving into pelvis for delivery - baby gets lower and lower and your pelvis will start hurting more.  Don't worry, chances are you still have a good 10 weeks or so before delivery, but it's progress and moving in the right direction.

  • It's weird because sometimes I feel like he's engaged—lots of pressure in the hips, vag, etc—but I think he's still moving about a lot, so he must not have made up his mind to stick with it. I really hope he does what he's supposed to soon (though that does mean I'll need to pee every 16 seconds).

Although if I were you I might start making freezer meals if you have the energy for it (and space).  You will NOT want to cook the first few weeks.

  • Yesterday a friend came over and we went through all of the baby clothes we have, but our furniture hasn't come in yet to put it away! Also DH won't let me paint the nursery so that's kind of on hold. We literally just agreed on a paint color. One of my friends is coming over after school starts back to do freezer meals with me and we are also going to start going walking several times a week. So yes I'm currently Netflixing hahaha
  • Sticks that he won't let you paint. I actually love painting. I hate having to crawl on the ground to put the tape on the bottom borders but love painting
