Ezra Cruz P. 7.01 pounds 19 in born 8:06 am 12/18/15 EDD: 12/14
EDD was 12/14 but my OB didn't want me to go to 41 weeks so we scheduled induction for 12/17. Wednesday morning I had my last appointment and was still 0cm so I checked into L&D at 6:00 to start the cervicil. Dr checked me at 6am Thursday morning and I was still at 0cm so we started the Pitocin. Around 5:00pm I finally made it to 1cm and the Dr was able to break my water. Spent the whole night on the max Pitocin and at 7am Friday morning I was still at 1cm so OB scheduled the c section and baby Ezra was born and hour later. I went into the induction fearful about having to get a c sections, but it ended up going extremely smooth and we had a great experience. DH and I talked through the process and then when baby was about to be born DH was able to snap some pictures and they cleaned him up quickly to allow skin to skin about 5 minutes after he was taken out. we had 2 hours skin to skin bonding/breastfeeding time before they took him to the nursery. Recovery has been great and at 1 week PP I feel fantastic with minimal soreness. Baby is perfect and healthy and glad to be home.
There is nothing better than being her mama! We are so in love..
I started having contractions Saturday morning (12/12), and called the on call doctor to determine whether I should come in.. The doctor wanted me to wait it out so we did. We went for a walk and even to my nephew's birthday party. As the day went on my contractions grew farther apart. The doctor told me if the pain worsened then to come in. Well at 12 am Sunday I woke up with, to me, very bad pain. My contractions were about 10 minutes apart, but the pain had me in tears. DH and I went to ob triage around 2:30 am and were monitored. I walked for a half hour which helped me dilate from a 3 to a 4 in a short period of time so I was admitted.
Once in our delivery room, I sat in the jacuzzi for awhile to help with the pain. I went 6 hours without any pain medications before getting an epidural. After getting an epidural and making no progress, my water was broken and I was given potocin. By 5:30 pm I was fully dilated and a +1. The medical team let me labor a bit longer with hopes that Amaya would come down more.
I pushed for 2 hours with no real progress. The doctor suspected that Amaya was sunny side up and was not going flip. A c section was mentioned and that's what ended up happening. It wasn't an emergency c section, it was discussed and DH and I decided to go with the c section because the chances that I'd have baby girl vaginally were slim and we didn't want to put stress on her.
Sadie Noelle Born 12/24 at 2:54am EDD 12/31 8lbs 4oz, 20" long
We experienced a fairly quick and easy delivery, with only minimal complications. I am a FTM and we only pushed for 9 minutes! We are so in love with our princess. She is beautiful in every single way; so worth all of it.
Baby Elias (middle name pending...) Born Dec. 23 via scheduled C-section I think I would have laboured that day if I hadn't had the section. Contractions we coming on.
Logan Thomas was born December 9th at 3:41 pm. He weighed 5 lbs 10 oz and was 19.5 inches long. EDD was December 29th. Three weeks prior to birth I started having really high blood pressures. Spent a few nights in the hospital trying to get blood pressure under control. Was discharged to watch blood pressure at home and to have non-stress test and blood pressure checks at the dr office three times a week.
On the morning of December 8th. I woke up feeling horrible. Blood pressure was elevated, back hurting, stomach cramps, headache, and the baby was not very active. I went on into work thinking things would pass. I made it until 2:00 that day. I called my Dr's office and told them what was going on and they wanted me to come into the office. I called my husband and we meet at our home to leave one of the cars and to pick up our bags (I had a feeling I was going to the hospital). We got to the Dr's office and my blood pressure was 215/163. My dr sent me straight to the hospital and said that it was time to have a baby.
We got to the hospital and checked in. My dr meet us at the hospital and they worked at trying to get my blood pressure down. After an hour of meds my blood pressure keep going up, so he decided to induce me. I was started on potcin to start the contractions and magnesium to keep me from having seizures due to the high blood pressure. I was dialited 2 cm when we started the meds and after 24 hours of meds I was still at 2. My blood pressure was still high and the magnesium was making me sick. At this point my dr was not on call and the on call dr decided it was time for a c section. I was taking to the or and as the surgery was about to start my dr came in to assist with my c section. Thankfully he was there because once they got Logan out they could not get my uterus to firm back up and they were talking about doing a hysterectomy. After 2.5 hours of working on me and several blood transfusions they were able to get my uterus to start firming up. I was taken back to my recovery room anticipating finally getting to hold my baby.
After about 30 minutes of waiting for our little guy to be brought to me the pediatrician on call came to talk to us about our Logan. She told us that he was having some breathing issues and needed to be airlifted to Vidant Greenville NICU. I was completely devastated, I begged to be able to see him since I had only seen him for a few seconds. I had not even touched him yet. I was told before he left that I would see him. The East Care team brought our sweet Logan to visit us before he left for his helicopter ride. He was on a ventilator and in an isolette. I only got to touch his toes and could not see his face. The best day of our life had suddenly became the worse day. Logan left for the NICU, I sent my husband to go stay with him and my Mom stayed with me at Wayne Memorial. I was released from Wayne Memorial on December 11th, my Mom took me home to pack clothes for us (at the time we were told that he would be there at least 3 weeks) and then my Mom and Dad took me to the Children's hospital at Vidant Greenville so that I could see my baby and my husband. When we got there my husband meet us at the front door and took me straight back to see my Logan. He looked so pitiful hooked up to all of the machines. His Dr's came around to give me an update and then the best thing happened, his nurse popped the top of his isolette took him out and placed him in my arms. I finally got to hold my baby. It was the best feeling in the world. Everyone in his room started crying. The other best part was about 5 minutes of me holding him, his numbers started to improve, from that moment on Logan started healing. Everyday he made improvements, and on December 18th we were released to go home. We have had some ups and downs since we have been home trying to work out a schedule for him and to get his feedings just right so that he does not spit it all up. Though we are tired and in need of a lot of rest we would not change a thing about Logan. He is our pride and joy and has already stole our hearts.
(After months of reading birth announcements, can't believe it's finally my turn!)
Baby Anneliese Born on her due date 12/21 at 11:13 pm 6 lbs 2 oz and 20" long
Hadn't made much progress at 39+3 so OB attempted to loosen things up possibly with a membrane sweep. For the next 4 days had continual mucus with some bloody show. On due date woke up to pack DH's lunch. As soon as he walked out the door I felt some pretty strong contractions. Wasn't sure if it was the real deal so I laid down to time them. Was just noticing a pattern at 10-12 mins apart when I got up to use the bathroom and gush, my water broke just like the movies. Arrived at hospital an hour later. Contractions were becoming more intense so I was bummed to find out I was 1cm. Was allowed to progress on my own but after 6 hours had only reached 4cm. Was told I'd be given pitocin if didn't make more progress within the next hour so I asked for epidural. Best thing ever! At next check was 10cm so no pitocin needed. Was told that doctor had a scheduled c-section within the hour so my pushing might have to wait. Despite having epidural I was feeling intense pressure and back labor so I decided I was pushing baby out asap! Indeed got her out in less than an hour which nurses said was amazing considering FTM and baby was sunny side up and came out facing sideways. Did have a second degree tear but recovery has been going well. Lots of swelling PP but everything was so worth it. Baby is perfect and we are so in love!
*Edited because I'm sleep deprived and don't know the days of the week
Cameron James EDD-12/29 Delivered-12/20 9lbs and 20.5 in
I woke up around 2am on the 20th. Labored at home until around 615am. Arrived at the hospital at 630am and was 5/6 cm and fully effaced. Labor went very quickly. There was no time for an epidural. Cameron was delivered at 8:59 am. He's such a sweet boy. We are struggling with b'feeding. He latches, but my supply isn't high. Could be due to a reduction surgery 10 years ago. We will figure it all out eventually. DH has been incredible during these tough times. His support and my sweet angel's face keep me going.
Went into labor around 8pm on Christmas night. By around 12:30 the contractions were about 3-5 minutes apart. The pain was pretty intense at this point. Woke up hubby and left for the hospital. Got there and I was at 3 cm. Labored at the hospital a little while longer until I was at 4 cm. This is when I finally asked for an epidural. By 10:30 am I was ready to push. Little miss Emery came into the world by 11:03 am. She has captured our hearts. I never knew that I could love someone this much!
Induced 7am on the 22nd. I had two epidurals, and both failed on one side. I ended up laboring for a few hours after the second one feeling everything on my right side, and was finally dilated to 10cm but with a little bit of cervix left on the right side. We went ahead with pushing while the nurses tried to pull back the bit that was left. I pushed for 35 minutes, until the doctor told me that baby wasn't tolerating the pushing, her heart rate kept dropping. They thought she was face up and pinching the cord, and needed to come out immediately. I had to have an emergency c-section. Very scary, but baby and I are both okay, and recovering well. I can't believe this beautiful girl is really ours. So blessed. She was born on my mom's birthday, and the day before mine.
Baby Melody Born Dec 28th, on her due date. 7 lbs 6.5 oz. Had a scheduled induction. Everything went great, only thing that sucked was 2nd degree tearing but I'll get over it. Thanks for keeping me busy during these 10 months. Congrats to all!
Baby arrived on her due date 12/28. Alice Caroline 7lbs 7 oz 20 inches long
Labour went fast for a FTM. Water broke at 3:30 am, was admitted at 7:00am. 5 cm dialited by 10 am and I asked for the epidural. Best idea ever. Pushing started around 4 but she was being stubborn and wasn't born until 6:49 pm. I suffered a third degree tear and needed an episomity to get her out. Unfortunately she swallowed some meconium and has a small pneumo thorax as a result. She stayed in the nursery overnight for observation and I haven't been able to hold her or breastfeed yet. I'm really bummed about that but I'm hoping to get some good news today.
I was induced due to gestational hypertension on 12/10. Labor went great. Got epi around 5cm on 12/11. A few hours later I pushed for 25 min and she was out. Second degree tear. Mom and baby doing great!
Andrew was born on 12/26 at 9:23 pm. We went in for a scheduled induction in the morning and started the process. By 4pm I had my epidural and pushed from 4:30pm until he was born with a quick 45 min break. He tolerated everything well and labor was overall a great experience. 8lbs and 21 inches. Had we waited to go into labor on our own, we would have had a csection due to his size. Everything couldn't have gone better! EDD:12/28
Went for my weekly ultrasound on the 10th to find out that I had low amniotic fluid. They sent me to the hospital and gave me 2 bags of fluid and a dose of oral cervadil. After 4 hours I was sent home and told to come back the next day. Had another ultrasound at 9 the next morning and was admitted shortly after. After 2 more doses of cervadil I was having "double contractions" causing the babies heart rate to drop. I was wheeled down for an emergency c section and little miss diva made her appearance at 7:30 pm on the dot! We couldn't be happier!
Christina Riley born on 12/22 @ 1:24pm weighing 6lbs 9oz and 19in long EDD 12/28
Went in on the 20th with bad contractions but wasn't dilated enough so I was sent home. Next day hubs and I went on a walk and later that day my contractions picked up again and much stronger. Went in around 10pm and walked the halls for 2 hours. Got admitted around 2am on the 22nd and immediately got the epidural once we got to our labor room. It was smooth sailing from there, as I was completely numb - my legs were like noodles. I was stuck at 5 so the OB broke my water and she immediately dropped. She came back in about 2 hours later and baby's head was already coming and said it was time to push. Only pushed about an hour on and off and little girl was in my arms. It was a fast and painless labor, and only had a small tear inside. She's perfect! My husband and I are just so in love with her
Contractions started at 1pm Dec 27, called midwife around6pm to come access situation and set up for possible home birth if all went well.
Water broke during a strong contraction at around 7pm, (which I was excited about because I'd never had spontaneous rupture with previous two babies!) got all set up at home and progressed nicely. Went from 3 cm at midwifed arrival to 9 cm by around 10 pm but then stopped progressing. Tried getting into a better (less gravity defying ) position and it hurt so badly I tensed up and went back to 6cm. At this point, I was in soooo much pain that I took the opportunity to get to hospital for epidural and thank goodness we did. Half hour drive from hell, arrived and had OB and anesthesiologist called in. Waiting was excruciating and we got me back to 9cm while we waited. Ob came in and tried to assist with vacuum since baby wouldn't turn from posterior position. No luck. Pushed with his assistance for an hour and baby kept have too long and deep of decels. We prepped OR and I enjoyed the spinal that came with it. When they made the slit in my uterus, it ruptured- perhaps from so much strain from pushing but it's still unknown. So I'm glad we were in the OR instead of having it possibly happen where we weren't prepared to fix it. Lost a lot of blood but am recovering well and baby didn't even need any assistance when she was born, considering how terribly everything went for us both. Everyone working the floor is completely surprised I had to deliver by C when my first two were vaginal. Excited to be home tomorrow, if my blood levels increase well by then! So glad to finally have baby in my arms
Lorelai Johanna Sophia 8 lbs 6 ounces Due: Dec 26 Born: Dec 29
Starting having contractions at 12:30 AM on the 29th. Laboured at home until 11:30 the next morning. Was 6 cm when we arrived at hospital. Contractions got more intense around 2:00. Started wanting drugs but was too late. Dr broke my water at 2:25 and she was born at 2:55. Not too bad for first labour I am told. Though I still didn't love the pain. ANYHOW- she's here now & we love her!

McCoy Russell EDD- 12/21 Born- 12/29 @ 10:15am 7lbs 3oz, 21 inches long
Induced starting 12/28 at 6am. Started pitocin upon arrival and was at a 3 and had a non-favorable cervix so Dr. made the decision at 6pm to shut off all meds and let me rest for the night. I was mad, but what can you do. I started cytotec at 10pm and received a 2nd at 2am after they found it had somewhat worked. I had hard, long contractions starting at about 1am that were 1-4 minutes apart. finally at 5:45am they let me have an epidural- incredible! It failed on my right side so they had anesthesia call back and bring another numbing medicine to try. Thank goodness it took! I got checked again, was 100% and still 3cm. I hadn't slept all night so I took a nap from 7:30-10; was woken by my doctor to break my water only to find it had broken on its own and I was at a full 10. She asked if I was ready to push and 15 minutes later he was in my arms. He came so fast that I did get a 2nd degree tear. We are smitten and all the pain was worth the little guy.
Tucker Edward EDD 12\24\2015 DOB 12\30\2015 @ 5:24pm
I went to my appointment on Tuesday for my NST and Tucker had "too much" fluid. Checked in at L& D got cervil at 4:30pm bringing me from 1cm to 2cm on Wednesday morning. Started Pitocin and broke my water around 9am. Labored for awhile and my OB kept turning my Pitocin up to try and get contractions to really stick. Well they ended up getting to close together raising my hear rate and Tucker's would drop. Tried to push through Pitocn contractions but I lost my nerve when Tuckers heart rate plummeted, my OB advised on an epidural immediately in case she needed to take him VIA emergency c-section. I got an epidural around 4:30? I think and he was here by 5:24. My husband almost missed his birth because he had gone outside, luckily another OB found him and brought back!
That amazing feeling of "my son is here" after 40 weeks that felt like they would never end.
Eli Grey EDD - 12/22/15 Birthdate - 12/18/15 7.10oz / 19 inches long
After what seemed like a million false alarms, and walking around at 2 centimeters for two weeks, two membrane sweeps due to extreme pubic symphisis since 12 weeks and funny blood pressure, and my college finals, during the Star Wars premier on the 17th at around 11:00 I began getting those real, this is what labor feels like, contractions. All my SO would say is please baby let me watch this movie, and he gave his dad exactly what he asked for. After the movie ended, I went home and took a nice hot shower, then decided I was going to sleep through them and try to get to the hospital super dilated. Woke up a few times and thought I would wake up get pretty and go to the hospital, but at 5:00 I couldn't take it anymore, threw my hair up in the ugliest bun and crazy clothes and off we were. I got to L&D and was a whopping 3 centimeters. Two hours later a 4, they admitted me, I was given staydol (terrible) I could feel all the pain but was just drunk feeling, they then broke my water and told me to sleep. I was out maybe three mins and a nurse came in asking if I felt okay, which I did, apparently my blood pressure went up and baby started to decel. After almost an hour of figuring it out I received 3 ivs one of them being a 3 inch catheter because my veins are terrible. So we had the main and backups, and got an epidural. I didn't think it would hurt that bad but it did and I moved a bunch. It sucked. It's about 12 now and I'm at a 5. Decels continue and my wonderful nurse was in my room with me the entire time. At 5 o'clock my dr comes in and starts explaining that her first choice is a Csection because I was still stuck at 5 after 5 hours and if she started pitocin I could get stuck with Decels and an emergency c section where I would be knocked out. I opted for the Csection, before going I got chorio an infection in your placenta and my fever was 102, rushed into OR and my little blonde boy was here. I spent 3 hours in recovery because my blood pressure wouldn't come up 66/30. Daddy and baby went to NICU and little did I know he would be there for 6 days. Due to the chorio and our ABO incompatibility. He is great and fine now, and my only complaint really is how hard it's made breastfeeding, I never got to see him the first day or change his first diaper. But he's healthy and I get to keep him forever. I feel I had to post all events because labor was completely different from what I imagined, but was worth it in every way. Blessings to all.
Emerson Richard - born Dec. 29th, 7lbs 14oz, 21 in long and is absolutely perfect!
Came in at 7 for a planned induction (due to insurance issues) at 40+5.
Started at 3 cm dialated & 80% effaced. Dr broke my water and then started pitocin about 1 1/2 hours later. Contractions started coming pretty quick, I was having them every 2 1/2 - 3 min for about a minute long and the pain started getting to be too much. I wasnt planning on an epidural, but as the pain got worse and I was checked and was still between 3 & 4 cm dialated 6 hours into labor as well as having some blood pressure issues, I decided to go for the epidural, which was a great decision! Another few hours in my contractions started slowing, so they turned the pitocin up, but anytime it was turned up high enough to get contractions really going, babies heart rate was dropping and having a hard time coming back up. 12 hours into active labor I was only at 5 cm, and the dr decided a c-section was best before baby started getting too distressed. C-section went perfect and the dr found the cord was wrapped around the top of his head and if I had started pushing things could have gone bad pretty quickly.
Recovery has been great and besides for a few issues with breastfeeding everything has been wonderful!
Oliver Harrison EDD-- December 27 Born-- December 31 9 pounds 10 ounces
On Wednesday my doctor had me come in for my 40 week appointment (originally scheduled for today) and we decided that since I was over due and baby seemed big he would do a c section if I wanted too. I was super uncomfortable and just wanted my little guy here, so we agreed.
I'm still in the hospital absolutely exhausted as I did not get any sleep last night but I happy my little guy is here with us!
Henry EDD 12/15/15 Born 12/28/15 9 lbs 8 ounces 22 in long
I went in for my nearly 42 week appointment and asked (or politely demanded) to have my water broken. Doctor agreed. Felt my first contraction at 5 and he was here 2 hours later. Which made for an intense but fast labor. We're having issues with his bilirubin levels but they are starting to decline.
Little guy is already looking just like his big brother!
For those of you still pregnant, babe will eventually get here!
Carter Mason EDD- 12/28 Born - 12/28 Total birth/ labor time- 1 hour 6 min
7lbs, 12oz & 21 inches
I felt my water break on his due date 12/28 at 4:05am. I immediately woke DH and called my midwife who started to our house for our planned homebirth. Our first baby was only 3.5 hours from the first contraction to the time I was holding him, so we assumed Carter would also come quickly. My contractions started immediately and were 3 minutes apart and intense. I focused on breathing through them and trying to let my body do what it needed to do without getting in the way. At 4:53am I called my midwife back because I was pushing involuntarily. She had me check to see where his head was and we realized I was going to deliver before she got to us. She had us call 911 as a precaution because she was still 20 minutes away and with my first baby I had some hemorrhaging after delivering the placenta. DH called 911 and kept our midwife on the phone to walk him through what to do. My body was pushing hard with my contractions and on the next one I birthed his head. I had another contraction almost immediately and birthed his shoulders and body, 5:11am. DH did a great job staying calm and catching Carter! He unwrapped the cord from around his neck, it was wrapped 3 times around, and put him on my chest for skin to skin contact. Carter was breathing and alert with great color. I was laying half in the bathroom and half in the hallway and that's where I stayed until the emt's showed up several minutes after the birth. They monitored my bleeding and vitals until our midwife came, about 15 minutes after Carter was born. I delivered the placenta with the emt's and then our midwife checked baby and I out as soon as she arrived. Overall we are recovering well and settling into our new family dynamic and thankful we had no complications and we are both healthy!
Ellie Jean 8.4 lbs Born Dec 31 @ 2:21pm Edd Dec 28
My water broke before contractions on Dec 29th at 8pm. I had contractions on and off but nothing too intense. I went to an induction acupuncture appt on dec 30 in hopes it would get me going. 24 hrs after my water broke I requested a NST, and started contracting. Baby looked good so I was sent home to labour, I was 100 effaced and 1cm. I went home and tried to kick labour into gear. Little did I know how fast labour would start, and by 12 I was contracting 3 mins apart, over 1 min long. And then the back labour began.i have never felt anything like it. I wanted a non medicated birth but after labouring till 4am at home, contracting every 2 mins, for about 2 mins at a time, there was no way. I was a mess and couldn't cope. I basically yelled at my lovely husband and doula, called my midwife and said we are going NOW for an epidural. I was 5-6cm It was a god send and I truly thought I would die without it. I started to transition while waiting for the epidural and freaked out lol. Progressed well with epidural and was fully by 10. I turned off the epidural so I could push well, and by all accounts I did push well but baby was big for my oldly shaped pelvis, and after two and a half hours of pushing needed help via forceps but not episiotomy. That was incredibly painful and poor babe Is all bruised. but only a small tear!
I was past my due date and my doctor scheduled me for an induction just after 41 weeks. I really didn't want to be induced but nothing was happening and I was only 1cm dilated at my last appointment. I was drinking raspberry leaf tea, taking evening primrose oil, eating pineapple, bouncing on my exercise ball..you name it.
By Wednesday the 17th I went to a chiropractor that specializes in pregnancy and got adjusted. I had another adjustment scheduled for 6pm the next evening. I woke up at 3am the next morning feeling some cramping. I tried going backing sleep and by 9am I was feeling contractions but they were not that bad. I called my doctor's office and they told me to go to the hospital. They checked me and I was still only 1-2cm so I decided to go home where I would be more comfortable.
Contractions got progressively stronger but I decided to go to my 2nd appt at 6pm anyway and got another adjustment. I took a long shower when I got home and then tried to lay down but the contractions were almost unbearable by 11pm. They were 5 minutes apart and one was almost 4min long!! I couldn't take it anymore and told my husband it was time to go to the hospital.
It was only a 15 minute drive but by the time I got there I was ready for some pain relief! They checked me and I was 5cm and 100% effaced. I asked for the epidural but the anesthesiologist was in an emergency c-section so I had to wait. Almost 2 hours later the contractions were right on top of each other when I FINALLY got the epidural. That thing was magic! They checked me again and I was 9cm.
I tried to get some sleep as they waited for baby to descend some more and for my water to break. It must have leaked out slowly throughout the day because that never happened.
At 7am, Friday, they checked me again and I was 10cm and the nurse said it was time to start pushing. I felt some pressure with each contraction but no pain. My doctor showed up 20 minutes later. 4 rounds of pushing and baby was out by 7:37am!! I couldn't believe it. After waiting all night, my parents had just gone down to the cafeteria because they thought it would be a while when my hubby calls and texts them a picture of the baby. Ha...they were pretty shocked.
They put him in my chest for some skin to skin immediately. He stayed there for a couple of hours before the even weighed and measured him.
I had a 2nd degree tear but it hasn't been too bad. Just took a couple doses of the Motrin at the hospital.
My DH has been amazing and wouldn't leave the hospital at all. We are so love with our little boob monster. I still can't believe I pushed out and am in charge of this little human.
Jameson Edward EDD 12/26 Born 12/27 at 3:44 pm 8lbs 12oz | 22in
I had a sono at my 40 week appointment. My fluid was extremely low so my OB sent me to the hospital to get induced. I had zero dilation or effacement and the baby wasn't dropping, so no one had high hopes for me to have an easy labor. Luckily nature started to kick in after a few doses of Cervidil, and I was able to avoid a C section. My little bundle of joy arrived 19 hours later. I am so in love!
Ewan Severus EDD 12/27 BORN 01/01 Our little man decided he was too cool for December... Or maybe 2015. Either way he made his appearance at 1:22 on New Years Day. I had a long pre labor, very short active labor and was rushed from my birthing center to the hospital for hemorrhaging and vey low blood pressure. The hospital fixed me up and they allowed my baby in so I could start breastfeeding. Ewan is a very easygoing sweet baby and we are very much in love with his little face. Being 5 days past due and only 8 lbs 3 ozs made Mommy very happy! I am doing fabulous now, after a uterine scrap to get out clots, and stitches. We are just very happy to finally hold our little one!
Scheduled c section. Went into hospital on the 27th. By 9.50 am the 28th Ethan was born. Suc a sweet boy. Breastfeeding is good. Recovering well at home.
Archer Nolan EDD 12/20 Born 12/26 at 12:14am---He clearly wanted his own day. 7lb 8oz, 20"
Water broke late night Christmas Eve and at my OB's advice, I labored at home until I absolutely had to go in because my contractions weren't progressing quickly enough. I was staunchly against getting an epi or pitocen, but the contractions were unlike anything I've experienced before--I seriously think I saw god lol. So, I had both and it turned out to be such a beautiful birthing experience. It was the strangest thing: I was mostly numb and barely able to feel the contractions, but I could still move my legs. I was able to actually take a nap before it was time to push (I had been laboring for 18 hours before the epi kicked in) and the actual pushing part was just with my OB, husband, and the nurse. It was so quiet and intimate. I will really treasure this experience.
Julia Josephine made her debut 8 days late and 34 hours after being induced! The first few days were tough but we are settling into a routine, and could not be more smitten with her!
Baby Boy! Ari Alistaire EDD: Dec.16 Born: Dec.26 @ 3:11 am Weight: 7lbs 5 oz
Induced on Christmas day at 12 pm. Started having cramping in the lower back and stomach at 5:30 pm. Went to the hospital around 12:30 am and had him at 3:11 am on Boxing Day! So in love with my little man!
Got to the hospital at 1:30 am thinking my water had broken (it hadn't), and just feeling "off". They did an exam and I was 1cm, 80% effaced so they monitored me for awhile and decided to send me home. At 345 I was signing discharge papers when the doctor decided to check me one more time because of the contractions she had noticed on the monitor. I was 4cm 100% effaced. They were hesitant to admit me because I wasnt in too much pain but they did anyways because I was GBS+. I got in the laboring tub right away but after an hour I suddenly had a feeling I needed to get out. As soon as I got back in bed my water broke. Contractions picked up and not too long after I felt the urge to push, nurse checked me and I was complete. 45 minutes of pushing and she was here. I didn't tear, but I did bust a bunch of blood vessels around my eye from pushing. All in all it was a quick and beautiful experience, definitely the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. I am so in love and I couldn't have imagined a more perfect baby girl.
(To all my ETB mean girls, I miss you ladies! Got locked out of my Facebook but I hope you all are well!)

EDD: 12/14

Well at 12 am Sunday I woke up with, to me,
very bad pain.
We are blessed she is here and healthy!

We experienced a fairly quick and easy delivery, with only minimal complications. I am a FTM and we only pushed for 9 minutes! We are so in love with our princess. She is beautiful in every single way; so worth all of it.

I think I would have laboured that day if I hadn't had the section.

EDD- December 15
Born December 23
Born Dec 28th, on her due date.

Had a scheduled induction. Everything went great, only thing that sucked was 2nd degree tearing but I'll get over it. Thanks for keeping me busy during these 10 months. Congrats to all!

The most perfect being we have ever seen!

Our little man decided he was too cool for December...
