Ariadne "Ari" Florence made her way into the world today, 11/20/15 @ 12:17pm. Her original due date was 12/3/15, but I was induced at exactly 38 weeks on 11/19/15. I was admitted into L&D @ 11:00am and started on Mistoprostol 50mcg at around 1pm. The med immediately started regular contractions. During my initial check by the on call OB I was 50-60% effaced, 0.5cm dilated at best and baby was at station 0. I did not progress very quickly, but my contractions were too strong and regular to give me my second dose of Mistoprostol at the four hour mark. Eventually around 8pm they started to decrease in intensity and spaced out significantly. I was given another 100mcg to get the contractions going again and opted for Fentanyl and Phenergan. Despite the meds for pain and vomiting I still was unable to sleep at all that night. Around 5:30am this morning I got up and took a shower in attempt to help with the back labor. I was in my L&D room finishing up my make-up just before 7am and sitting on a stool when I heard a pop. A minute or so later, my nurse--who was in the room chatting with DH--asked me to hop back on the bed so she could hook me up to the monitor and give me another dose of Miso if my contractions were not progressing. All of a sudden liquid came gushing down my leg and onto the floor. My nurse thought I had just peed myself despite my insistence that it was my water breaking and sure enough I was right when she checked. I wasn't given any additional Miso since my water breaking was likely to speed things up and it did. I labored for another hour or so and dilated to a 3 and held off on the epidural in case I wanted to walk the halls again. Within an hour I had changed my mind and was having "coupling" contractions that were coming so hard and fast I still don't know how I sat still for the procedure. Unfortunately it only worked on the right side of my body and I could feel every contraction on the left--including severe back labor due to Ari being sunny side up--and the anesthesiologist was tied up in an emergency c-section with complications and could not come to modify my epidural. So for two hours my nurse had me lying with my right hip over left almost completely on my stomach to try and get the epidural to cross to my left side. After an intense 2 hours of pain which I will never forget due to the contractions coming one on top of another it finally started to take on my left side and I had relief!! My nurse then checked me just before 12pm to see if I had dilated any before she started Pitocin. Surprise!!! Ari's head was already visible and I was fully dilated and ready to push. He nurses were amazed I progressed so quickly for a FTM and didn't need any Pitocin for my induction. The OB, who was just about to start a scheduled c-section, was called, rushed over and within about 15 minutes RT, the OB, two nurses and an assistant were all assembled and I was given the green light to push. Three painless pushes in two minutes and she was out! Due to Ari being officially IUGR, having a SUA cord, a FHR baseline that had suddenly deceased the day before, and my severe N/V that caused me to lose 9 pounds in the last three weeks she was expected to be quite small and my doctor was anticipating breathing difficulties (hence the RT). Thankfully she weighed in at a healthy 5lbs 10oz and is 18.25 inches long. Despite all my pregnancy complications she is perfectly healthy and has had no problems besides a little difficulty with latching on. I've had to manually express colostrum and spoon feed it, but I'd do anything for this little miracle baby that came from such a difficult high-risk pregnancy. DH is smitten and won't put her down which I find completely adorable. Both DH and baby Ari are fast asleep as I write this. I've been up for nearly 3 days and hopefully can finally get some sleep. I am happy to have avoided a c-section and to have such a calm and healthy little addition to our family. I love just looking at her little sleeping face and finally having her safely out so she can grow healthier and stronger.
Charlotte Addison decided to make her entrance to the world on 11/18/2015. Her EDD was 12/8/15. I heard a popping sound while laying in the bed in the morning and started leaking fluid as I would walk through the house. Went to l&d and sure enough I was right but not contracting. So they administered pitocin and I eventually got an epidural because the contractions were intense and frequent. She didn't like the contractions so her heart rate would drop during large ones and after some time she had turned her head sideways instead of face down which was causing her more stress. After 12 hours of laboring she was delivered via c-section at 10:01 pm and healthy as can be.
Bryce Samuel arrived 8:36am on 11/18 via scheduled c-section. Despite being 37w6d, he weighed 8lb7oz and 21.5" long. We are now home and doing great! He sleeps like a champ!
A few days late but Jesse Zane and Nathan Irwin are here! Born on November 18th at exactly 36 weeks. I had been having continually rising blood pressure and swelling since 31 weeks despite starting and continually increasing labetalol so my doctor decided it was time for a c section. Went to my scheduled C Section Wednesday and Nate was born at 8:42 am and Zane at 8:44. Nate was 5 lbs 12 oz and 17.5 inches long and Zane was 5 lbs 11 oz and 18 inches long.Nate came out with a little trouble breathing initially and was taken straight to the NICU for observation. He ended up resolving his issue that day and was back with us by 4:30 pm. Zane had no issues whatsoever. We are headed home now!
After a routine OB and NST appontment showed elevated blood pressures yesterday afternoon, I was admitted into L&D after bloodwork showed I was pre eclampsic. I was having timeable pre -labor contractions so we decided to have a Foley bulb and Cervidil placed around 7:30pm. (For those looking for details, I was 1-2cm dilated, 50% effaced and at station -3 at time of check in and start of induction). Those did the trick to start labor. I also used Clary Sage rubbed on my bump and inhaled to strengthen the contractions (and it seemed to do just that). I was exhausted - I had dropped a relative off at the airport with my three year old and yearling in tow at 4:30 that morning and had been running non-stop until being admitted to L&D. I tried to sleep but the contractions kept waking me up so I took a narcotic that didn't really touch the pain but made me not care about it and was able to get a few solid hours of sleep.
The Foley fell out around 12:30am and then the Cervidil followed at around 4. They checked me at 4:30 and I was 5cm, 75% effaced and at -2 station with a bulging bag and having strong contractions every one to three minutes. They offered to break my water and I decided to wait until my doula got there and we could speak with the midwife about the risks of AROM at this point (since my main objections to that are GBS risk since I've had a baby with sepsis even though I test negative for it and risk that labor won't progress and surgical intervention is needed). By 5:15, my doula had arrived and we had all decided that it was a good thing to have the AROM as everyone felt it would speed thing along. I was still at 5cm, 75% effaced and -2 station when they did it.
Well, that set things in high gear. By 6am I was dilated to a 7 (but midwife and nurse said he was still "high" and I was still only 75% effaced). At this point I panicked because I didn't have an epi on board, my contractions where right on top of one another and the pain was getting away from me mostly because I couldn't regroup/recover in between. I asked (and then begged and then shrieked at the top of my lungs) for the drugs. They checked me again and there was no change in anything (this was at around 6:30) and I panicked harder because I knew a) it took me three hours to deliver my last baby after reaching 7cm and I ended up with an epi and b) my contractions where 30 seconds or less apart and there was no way an anesthesiologist would be able to administer one. So I lost control for a bit and screamed it out for three or four contractions (really embarrassing) then got up and said I HAD to push. So I went to the bathroom to pee first and had one huge, uncontrollable push. Then they steered me towards the bed and I planted my feet in front of it and squatted down. The nurses tried to get me in bed and I calmly said, "No, this is where I need to be." The midwife was awesome and just said, "She's fine there! I love delivering babies this way!"
I have never in my life been so relieved to push. I regained sanity and control and even though there was some pain it was NOTHING to the contractions I'd been having. So, three rounds of good pushes and little man was out!
From being checked at 6:30 at a 7 to full delivery by 6:42am! Less than a twelve hour total process with no pitocin and no epi.
I have two minor tears that we are just leaving alone and there is concern I may have broken my tailbone again and done a slight separation to my pelvis again since he moved so quick through me. Other than that, we are fabulous!!! Totally worth all of it. Little man, born 11/21/15 at 37+4, weighs 8lbs2oz and 21" long. So, so, so in love . I hope everyone else on this board has a fabulous birth experience. Much love to you all (I promise, I'll be lurking!!!)
Brinley Lou was born November 17th due to placental abruption (placenta detaches from the uterus). Woke to bleeding and was sent to the hospital. She was born perfectly health at 37 weeks, weighing 5 lbs 12 oz and 19" long. Soooo IN LOVE!
Amir was born at 12:09 am 11/22/15 6lb 13 oz at 37 weeks one day. One day before my birthday . I went into labor a dilivery because of constant back pain. The took a urine sample and told me it looks like kidney failure because of his position. So the induced me and he was here 4 hrs later I dialated really quick .
I'm writing this post on behalf of our beloved user @ChiccoBeanz - while the ban hammer has been dropped on so many of our friends, including her, she has been busy with bigger and better things like bringing her son into the world.
At 5:52 AM, Greyson arrived at 5 lbs. 14 oz. and 18.5 inches. He is so handsome and mom and baby are both doing great. There is no doubt that he will be as awesome a person as his mom, who was such a valued user with her insight, advice, and battles with the baby shower brigade. She wanted to say hello and give everyone the update!
Dexter Richard was born Friday 11/20 at 2:11pm. He was 7 lbs 5oz and 20 inches. I was due 12/17 so he was born at 36 wks 1 day.
Here's my interesting birth/pregnancy story:
At 25 weeks I found out in a middle of the night phone call from the attending OB that I had a severe low platelet count found on a normal CBC blood drawn at my 25 wk appt earlier that day. Normal platelet counts range from 150k to 300k, at that time I was at 17k. As I was completely non symptomatic in any way other than a couple bruises, I had no clue why this prompted the crazy phone call until he explained the normal ranges and my potential for bleeding (spontaneous bleeding can occur when your counts are less than 10k). So the husband and I proceeded at 1 am to the hospital to figure everything out. They were worried I had developed hellp syndrome or pre-eclampsia which have symptoms of low platelet counts. After a day in the hospital we found out that all I had wrong with me was the low platelets and was diagnosed with something called ITP (immune thrombocytopenia purpura). So for the last 11 weeks I have been on massive amounts of prednisone (80mg daily), went through a platelet transfusion, and another transfusion of a drug called IVIG (bag of antibodies) trying to keep my platelet counts above 30k. I went from having a normal uncomplicated pregnancy to aqcuiring a perinatologist and a hematologist which I came to start seeing on a weekly basis. From the prednisone, I developed gestational diabetes and ridiculous stretch marks... I kept calling it the gift that keeps on giving. In terms of the platelet counts, the hematologist was ok with being above 30k during pregnancy and for vaginal delivery, above 50k for c-section and close to 100k to get an epidural. The highest I ever got was 77k at 27 wks and in the last few weeks I was hovering around the 10k-20k range despite my hematologist trying all his tricks. After discussions between all my doctors they decided to induce me at 36.5 wks to be able to control my labor and make sure I had sufficient platelets for delivery through a platelet transfusion.
Well that induction date was actually today 11/22 so that didn't go as planned either. Friday morning at 4 am I woke up with contractions. I totally thought they were braxton hicks since I hadn't had any before and I was only 36 wks I couldn't actually be in labor. Well 2 hours later and still no relief in them stopping, husband and I headed to the hospital where they confirmed I was in active labor and the plan they had set in place for my induction was going into motion a little sooner than thought. My platelets at that time was 19k so I knew I'd be getting some units of platelets infused to make sure my bleeding was controlled. Since I was not allowed an epidural due to my risk of spinal bleeding if I needed a surgical intervention, I'd have to go under general anesthesia, so all natural it was. I was extremely lucky that the both of us had no issues with delivery. I ended up with a 1st degree tear which they spent a good amount of time stitching up to make sure I wouldn't have issues later with bleeding but overall I was very impressed with myself being able to endure something that I never thought I'd be able to do naturally.
We just got home today and have lots of doctor appts to follow to make sure both baby and I bounce back to 100 %.
Sorry about the long post but I've been reading everyone's posts and I haven't seen anyone post about having ITP so I thought people might find it interesting as I'd never heard of it prior to be diagnosed.
I hope everyone a good labor and delivery experience and look forward to reading about them!
Henry James was born via emergency c-section on 11/23/15 after a scheduled induction due to IUGR and asymmetrical growth. Born at 5:54 PM, EDD 12/12/15. He weighed 4 lbs, 13 oz and is 17 1/2 inches long, tiny but healthy and perfect. The cervidil worked great to get labor going as I had already started having contractions. The contractions were about a minute apart and manageable without an epidural, I was 4-5 cm dilated when my water broke and sent him into complete distress. His heart rate plummeted and they had to put a monitor on his scalp because they thought the fetal monitor was picking up my pulse, but it was his. They gave me a shot of epinephrine which put him back up in the 100's but not long enough for a spinal block. Anesthesia was thankfully already on their way as I had asked for an epidural with the broken water. Within 10 minutes of my water breaking my oxygen stats were in the 80's, they wouldn't tell me Henry's heart rate, and we were in the OR. I woke up in recovery about 30 minutes later feeling everything because apparently neither morphine (20 mg) nor dilauded worked for me. They brought Henry in as soon as I woke up, but I was in too much pain to hold him. Once the pain was managed with a pain control pump, we attempted to nurse because of low blood sugar, but he was just too tired. He has a great latch but can't stay awake while eating. So we have been pumping colostrum, supplementing with formula and dropper feeding him. He has only lost an oz and is regulating everything very well on his own now except for body heat, which is normal of course with newborns. SO never left his side while in the NICU except to go back and forth between us and did everything for Henry that he was allowed. It has been very sweet to see them bond so well and he definitely knows his daddy's voice. I had to wait 8 hours after seeing him to go to the NICU and hold him again, they took me over in my bed because I has been under general anesthesia and had a rough delivery. I got to do skin to skin for over 4 hours. He was worth every bit of the anxiety, fear and pain to have here with us. I would do it all over again if I had to.
Henry Robert EDD dec. 5th DOB Nov. 24 7 pounds 12 ounces 20 inches long
Started getting contractions the day before but they only lasted 2 hours so I thought it was just a false alarm. Woke up around 8am feeling pretty normal at 845 started getting timeable contractions about 5-6 minutes apart. Decided at that point that the house needed to be clean so we didn't have to come home to a messy house with a newborn. So in between contractions I did the dishes, laundry and vacuumed. started having back labor at 11 which were super painful. We headed to the hospital and at that point I was already 5cm dilated, 2 hours later at 130 i was 8cm and soon after got to 10. Only had to push 4 times and he was out at 2:45! It went super fast! He just wanted to be around for thanksgiving!
Seth Holden born 11/23/15 due 12/7/15. Induce at 38 weeks due to type 1 diabetes and baby size. Very easy induction and delivery. Weighed 9lbs 13.5 oz and 21.5 inches long. I'm so in love with my little man!!!!!

Ebba Darlene EDD Dec 1 Born Nov 25 8lbs 6 oz and 21 inches long
Induced due to size. Mom and baby are both doing extremely well.
ETA: I was called in early for the induction. From the time contractions started labor lasted about 9hrs. Baby girl insisted on welcoming the world sunny side up. Once her head was mostly out she came sliding the rest of the way out on her own. So different from how big brother arrived.
Bennett James Edd: 12/4/2015 Then changed to: 11/28/2015 Dob: 11/26/2015 at 1:41am Bennett joined us after 21 hours of back labor. Due to his head size and positioning, it was extremely painful and made pushing and getting him out very tough. Luckily, my doctor and nurses were extremely patient and tried many different solutions to get him out. 7lbs 15.5ouces 20 inches long
On Friday, 11-20-2015, Russell Paul made his grand entrance into this world. He was 6 lbs 15 ozs and was 20 inches long. He was born at 38 weeks 3 days. His original due date was 12-1-2015. I went in for induction on Wednesday due to high blood pressure. It took 2 1/2 days of trying, but I started having real contractions early Friday afternoon. He was finally born at 1030 that night! We've both been doing good. He has some jaundice and is having to wear a UV band around his torso, but he's home with us and we hope to have him off the UV lights by Monday. He's such a beautiful baby boy!!
Ryleig Grace arrived 11/24/15. EDD 12/9/15 7lbs 4oz 19.5 inches long She is so beautiful and healthy. I'm one happy and blessed mommy!!
I went to L&D At 1pm on 11/23 I was 3cm dilated and 75-2. The midwife on call told me to go walk for a couple hours. I did just that. I check back in at 6 when I felt that my contractions were stronger. At that point I was 4cm and 80 -1 so they decided to admit me. They checked me again at 10pm and I was a 5 and 90 but my contractions were a starting to fade so they stared my pitocin. Contractions picked up by 2am they broke my water and I was still able to hold conversation with my mom and sleep between contractions 3 hours later it was time to push. They had to snip me and I didn't have an epidural so that hurt really bad but at 728 am they laid my precious baby on my chest for skin to skin and the pain faded. This is a rough draft story lol. Overall labor was pretty easy and we are recovering great! Baby has a light case of jaundice but she is home with me and we have plenty of Dr's appts. Good luck to all the mommies out there!! I have no clue how to post pics but of I figure it out I'll deff post some.
Our little Maeve decided to grace us 3 weeks early... EDD 12-16-2015. She arrived on Thanksgiving day this year! Our third and team green.... We are so happy and thankful, we are doing well.
Lillian (Lily) Marie EDD: 12/4 Scheduled C Section: 11/30 (Due to having a csection with my toddler) Birthdate: 11/26 Thanksgiving Baby!
I had been having contractions on and off for a few days but none were overly painful for an extended period of time until Thursday morning. Not long after I decided we had to go, my water broke and we literally raced to the hospital because there was so much pressure. I seriously thought we'd have her in the car. We got to the hospital and I was fully dialated plus 2! Somehow I managed to stay still enough to get the spinal in for the csection and she was born right after that. I have no idea how she came so fast!
Henry Jacob decided to make an early appearance today! EDD 12/23. Birthdate: 11/27 at 9:51am after 10 hours of labor. 6lb 10 oz and 19 inches long. Hanging in the NICU for awhile per protocol but doing well.
Jolie Frances came on her own 11/27 at 8:31pm-- EDD was 12/1. I think I was in real labor maybe 3 hours total. Went to L &D and was 10c dilated pushed 4 times and our team green baby was here. My midwife didn't believe me on the phone being so calm. She's our #1 and I'm still in shock of her birth story. Quick and minimal pain.
Noah Gavin was born on 11/26 at 9:38pm. 7lbs 11oz and 20 inches long. EDD 12/2.
I was admitted to be induced on the morning of 11/25 for gestational hypertension discovered at my 39 week appointment (not planned induction). My water broke on its own at 10:30pm and contractions started pretty much immediately. Labored through the night and got an epidural around 6am at 3cm (due to back pain more than anything else). Was fully dilated at 8:30pm by which time the epi was not strong enough to deal with the strength of the contractions (thanks pitocin). He is perfect and we are so in love.
Baby Rylan Andrew came on 11/25/15 , due 12/03/15. 11/24 woke up light bleeding all day. Contractions started at 2 am, only lasting 30 seconds. Went to hospital at 5 am lasting 45 seconds & was 2 cm. went in the jacuzzi for an hour came back and was 4 cm. got an epidural at 10AM. Water broke at 9 cm around 6:30 starting pushing around 730.. Baby came at 8:25. His heart rate dropped down to 40 when I was pushing. Almost needed a section.. Got an episiotomy and 4th degree tear. 2 hours of stitching.
Isabelle Christie EDD: 12/3 Arrived: 11/25 @ 11:24pm via c-section 6lbs 1oz, 19 inches long
Went to my OB appointment on 11/23. Had high blood pressure, plus a head ache, and I had been feeling really sick the past 2 days. My doctor wanted me to go to L&D that night to start an induction but I wanted her to deliver me, not who was on call the next day, so we agreed that I could wait one day until she was the OB on call. I went in at 7pm on 11/24 and started Cervidil... That was the worst medicine I'd ever been on! Getting cervical checks was an absolute nightmare... I sobbed every time. Contractions started a few hours after the Cervidil was placed and I started dilating. My water broke on its own the next morning (such a weird feeling)! I got an epidural around 8am. It was amazing! It barely hurt compared to the Cervidil and I felt so much better. I slept on and off all day since I didn't get any sleep that night. I finally reached 9cm at 6pm and was -1, but at 10:30pm I hadn't changed. I was so tired and baby had been having some decelerations so after discussing the situation with my OB, we decided that a c-section was the best route. I'm so happy we ended up doing the section because she came out with the cord around her neck (possibly why she wasn't dropping) and an apgar score of 1! She was a 9 at 5 minutes but oh my... That was scary. She is doing really well, and had no NICU time! She is so mild tempered and calm. She's having some issues breast feeding but we are working on it. She just gets so comfy next to me when we do it that she falls asleep. So happy to be home with our LO!
Went in at 5:00 am for an induction. They put me on the contraction monitor and I was already having contractions about 5-6 minutes apart. Came in at 5 cm dilated. They started me on the pitocin and Checked me after about a hour and I was up to 7 cm. Around 9:00 am, my contractions hadn't gotten much worse and I wasn't really dilating anymore so the doctor broke my water. I had told them I didn't want the epidural unless absolutely needed, but almost immediately after my water broke, I regretted it. It was the worst pain of my life and I really did not think I was going to get through it, but I had the most amazing nurse to help coach me through everything. At 11:32 am, my baby boy arrived. We are so in love!
Mackaylah Charly was born Nov 30th 2:02am weighing in at 7lbs, 2oz. Mommy is really tired. We love her to pieces. My epi didn't really work so I felt everything. I was in active labor for only a few hours.
At 10.05am on Nov 30th the world welcomed baby Ahmad. Active labour started at 7.30am. EDD: 12th Dec. All natural birth - Mum and bub are doing well xx
Cayson James born 11/29 @ 1:41AM weighing 9lbs 2oz @ 38 weeks 3 days. EDD was 12/9. Scheduled csections 12/2 but didn't make it that far. Bloody show Saturday night at around 7:30 with mild cramping, called the dr around 8:15 and she said it was time to come get checked out. I was having contractions that continued after fluids and getting closer together so she said it was time to meet baby! He is eating well and we are finally catching up on our sleep.
Alexandra Zulema EDD 12/7 Born 11/30 at 11:33am via unplanned c-section
Due to weight loss and HG that never lifted we were admitted last night for an induction. Cervix was favorable but no dilation. However after having Cervidil placed for 8 hours I was contracting but only dilated to 1cm. We opted for an epidural before trying pitocin and bag breaking. But when pitocin started the stronger contractions caused Alex's heart rate to drop dramatically. Since I was barely dilated and it could be another 8-10 hours of putting baby under duress we opted for C-Section to make sure we both made it safe. Section went GREAT and praise the Lord the moment I heard my daughter cry and I knew we were okay was the best moment of my life hands down. She had an apgar of 9 and is a big loud cryer with strong healthy lungs. Im recovering well, just exhausted but still too wired to sleep!! Anesthesia has worn off and I feel a bit sore and in manageable pain. I cant believe this little princess is my daughter. Every single of the 9 months of N/V were totally worth it for her. Good luck to the rest of you December mamas and God bless your babies!!!
Hailey Ann born 11/30 7lbs 1oz 20in. After 2 hours of labor!!!! Contractions started at 0600. arrived at hospital at 0740 (hubby went to work. Had to wait for him to get home). I was at the hospital for 30min before she was born. No time for pain meds or an IV. I am GBS positive and was unable to get ABX so we have to stay 48hrs for observations but she is doing just fine. cant believe I almost had her in the car!!!! Unable to post picture but shes beautiful!
Delivery Date: November 26, 2015 Induction date: December 1, 2015 Due date: December 8, 2015
Averie Kay was born on November 26, 2015- a Thanksgiving baby! 6 lbs 2 oz & 19 1/2 inches long. I went in to my regular 38 week appointment on Monday 11/23, and my Dr. was concerned with high protein levels in my urine and told me to check into the hospital for a 24 hr observation... By Tuesday 11/24, labs came back and they were hoping for a number under 150... My protein levels had skyrocketed to 750 and with two high blood pressure readings I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia ... I'd already been diagnosed with insulin dependent gestational diabetes, and I was admitted that evening with plans to induce... induction meds started Tuesday night and all day Wednesday thru Thursday ... By Thursday afternoon I hadn't progressed enough to continue an induction because Averie's heart rate started to worry the Dr. so we decided on a C section instead of vaginal birth... She came into this world at 5:52 pm on Thursday evening and we were discharged Sunday evening ending our 7 day stay. We are so in love, and I know I will never be the same again!❤️
Graham Isaac was born on 11/30 at 10:30 pm at 39 + 1 after a short drug free labor. OB stripped membranes at 9:00 am, I worked al day, then went home at 3:30 having mild contractions 10 min apart.
By 5:30 they were 5 min apart and getting stronger. Went to the hospital and timed them around 3 min apart during the 30 minute drive. They got me checked in right away, and I progressed quickly. Pushed for 2 long hours (same as my son) before welcoming our new little one into the world.
We are recovering well in the hospital. Ready to go home, but pediatrician wants to monitor baby for 48 hours b/c I tested positive for GBS, and didn't have time for the full dose of Penicillin before delivery.
Baby Alexander "Xander" James was born at 3:09am on December 1, 2015. 6 lbs even and 20 1/2" long. EDD 12/15/15. My blood pressure had been creeping for a few weeks and so after I started to swell and get headaches they decided it was best to induce. Induction was suprisingly pleasant. They placed a cervical softening pill around 3 pm 11/30/15. By 4 hours I had dilated to 4 cm so they started pitocin. It kicked in quickly and hardcore cramping had started so I went ahead and opted for an epidural. At midnight or so they check me again and I was 6cm then 15 minutes later I was full dialated. I didn't feel ready to push and baby was still +1 so instead of pushing for a long time I waited it out. I started pushing around 2:35 and he was born at 3:09! A very calm labor and delivery which as a first time mom I am extremely grateful for! I was expecting much worse than what it ended up being. We are in love with our new peanut!!
Maizey Reed was born at 6:48 Nov 30 She weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and was 22.5" long Natural labor up until 8 cm when my water broke and then opted for a pain shot. Pushed 3 times and my angel was born! Congrats to everyone and I wish you all healthy futures!
Amelia Jean "AJ" was born 11/30 at 2:25 pm at 39 weeks 1 day. She weighed 8 lbs 15 oz and was 22.5 in long. I showed up to be induced at 7 am, and had a very smooth and quick induction. Everything went great and we got to go home the next day. Her big brother is so in love with her.
Luka Bastian was born Dec 2 at 3:32am. EDD was Dec 6th so he was 39 weeks 2 days. He weighs 7lbs 8oz & is 21 inches long! I labored for 18 hours all natural, he was delivered via water birth by my awesome midwife - Dad got to catch baby himself! It was long & hard, but he is perfectly healthy. We're both doing great at home, wishing all you ladies happy birthing & congrats to those with our little blessings whom have already arrived!
Re: D15 Birth Announcements

Born Nov 25
8lbs 6 oz and 21 inches long
Induced due to size.

Bennett joined us after 21 hours of back labor. Due to his head size and positioning, it was extremely painful and made pushing and getting him out very tough. Luckily, my doctor and nurses were extremely patient and tried many different solutions to get him out.

She is so beautiful and healthy.
EDD: 12/4
Scheduled C Section: 11/30 (Due to having a csection with my toddler)
Birthdate: 11/26 Thanksgiving Baby!

EDD: 12/03

EDD 12/7
Born 11/30 at 11:33am
via unplanned c-section
Induction date: December 1, 2015
Due date: December 8, 2015
She weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and was 22.5" long
Natural labor up until 8 cm when my water broke and then opted for a pain shot. Pushed 3 times and my angel was born! Congrats to everyone and I wish you all healthy futures!
