@CourtJack sorry to hear the news about the odds. I know that's very scary. I like how pp phrased it about the odds of everything being ok. Are they doing any follow up testing for you down the road to help give you a better understanding of what's going on?
Sending so many prayers your way. 1 in 6 is still a really good chance, I'd bet on those odds.
I agree 100% with this. I know you are bound to be worried and I am sending you lots of good thought and prayers but at 1 in 6 the odds are very much still with you.
Good luck with the rest of the tests. And try to keep worry at bay. Your little one has a lot of growing to do and needs you in top health.
Sorry you got results you did not expect or want to hear. having a child with Ds is really no big deal. I had a perfect NT scan and odds of 1:10000. Guess what at birth we found out DS did indeed has Ds. It was hard at first to process the news but we made it. You can look into local Ds groups to get an idea of what it would be like if your baby does indeed have Ds. There are also great blogs that show the positives and several facebook pages for support. Stay away from the books. They are depressing and outdated. But just remember they are a baby that needs love and caring just like other babies. They just need a little more help. If you have questions you can PM me.
Thanks all. Panorama test was done yesterday after meeting with a genetic counsellor. I'm remaining hopeful. Odds are still very much in my favour. :-) Contrary to normal - googling has actually helped calm me down. So many good stories out there with odds similar to mine.
I'm sorry that you have to face this worry. Although this is news that you didn't want to hear, ti sounds like your midwife is telling you that you have an 83% chance for a healthy baby. Despite what medical science says, 35 is still quite young. Hopefully, your genetic counseling and further testing will reveal that all is well with your LO.
Also, you have seem to be looking at all of this from the positive side. I'm sure that 's helping keep your LO calm and happy.
So sorry that you have to go through this! Sometimes it's the not knowing that is the worst!! My son had a false positive for Cystic Fibrosis when he was two weeks old. It took a month to get the results back! Scariest four weeks of my life!! Hopefully the test will come back soon with good results!!
Re: NT results - cue the worry. Update #2

Aw thanks @june2016baby. You're sweet.
Sending positive thoughts your way. I agree that an 83% chance of not having downs are some great odds. I'd bet on that
Wishing you the best!
