Girl Name Poll

Which of these girl names do you think is best? Or if you don't like any of them, any ideas that you feel are somewhat similar would be awesome. :) I know they're a little different, but I was about 1 of 10 in my class growing up, so I would like something more unique.

Owen Grace (one name)
Willow
Bristol
Wakely
Saylor

    I prefer them willow, Bristol or sailor. Although Bristol is a place name in Alaska-I don't know your connection to that.

    Owen is a boys name. Even when paired with grace. No thanks.

    Wakely makes me think of a funeral wake.

    It's fun to make actual polls too.

  • As someone who also likes unusual names and was also raised with a very common one, let me just point out that there are options out there besides giving your daughter a boy's name or spelling a word incorrectly.

    With that being said, I like Willow. Bristol I can sort of stand but it's NMS. Sailor is awful IMO whether you spell it correctly or not. Plus a couple of famous people JUST used it so it feels a little coat tails-y. Agree with PP on the other two.
  • From these options, Willow for sure. Please no on Owen and Wakely
  • Seriously? We're trying to make Owen a girl's name now? When did that happen? No idea what Wakely is but it doesn't sound feminine at all. I'd say Willow or Bristol.

    Willow is the only one I like. What about:

    Wren
    Marisol
    Marlow
    Thea
    Brianna
    Vada
    Danica
    Lorelei
  • Agree, Willow is the only one on your list I would consider.
  • I've liked Owen Grace since I was about 13 years old and I met a girl with that name. I was dead set on naming my first girl that. I'm 24 now, and now that I'm pregnant I can't decide if I still really like it or not. That's why it's on the list. Whether or not it is popular on the boy's list is really irrelevant to me considering how much I've liked it for so long. Just thought I'd throw that out there so you'd understand why it's on the list. :)

    I liked a lot of names when I was 13 that I wouldn't dream of inflicting on my real children now. ;) Some of them I still like, but I've firmly placed them on the guilty pleasures list or they've been vetoed by my husband.

    Rowan can go either way and I actually prefer it for a girl myself, so I suggest Rowan Grace. It has the same flow to it, but she won't be surrounded by male Owens. I also really like Willow, very pretty and underused. Bristol and Saylor are not my style, Wakely also reminds me of funeral wake as a pp mentioned.
    It's a boy! Born 42 weeks, 2 days.

    Oooh I really like Rowan Grace... I think that's even better. Yay :) and I had never thought about Wakely being related to a funeral wake until y'all all started saying it so it's definitely off the list lol
  • Willow, definitely. Not something I would ever use though. What about Willa?
  • Willow is pretty but the others are horrendous. Willow Grace would be somewhat different without being crazy. What in the world is Wakely? Maybe Whitney or Waverly instead?
  • Willow. One thousand times, Willow.

    Rowan grace does sound nice. I have a name still in my list I liked for my sib when I was a teen. Besides people here hating it it just didn't fit baby when we met. :) I'll see next time if I still love it.
  • Willow is the only one I remotely like
  • I like Willow and Bristol. Not a fan of the others. Suggest Piper or Ivy.
  • Rowan is a great suggestion too. Sloane? Quinn?

  • Willow is the only one even close to a good name
  • Willow or Bristol. I like them both :)

  • Owen Grace (one name): No, I like masculine names for girls but this is a stretch.
    Willow: Best option on the list but it's becoming more and more trendy.
    Bristol: No. Too many other associations: Bristol Myers Squibb, Bristol Palin, Bristol Motor Speedway.
    Wakely: Absolutely not. Sounds made up.
    Saylor:  Ehhh, I guess okay. Second choice on the list.
  • Willow is the only one on your list that I can even fathom.

    Owen Grace = too weird, too clearly a part of the "boy name on a girl" trend.
    Bristol = Bristol Palin
    Wakely = Pretentious and fake-sounding.
    Saylor = Yuck.

    There are lots of less common names that aren't this wacky.  In fact, I think if you choose one of these, your daughter will actually have a "common" style of trendy over-done name.

  • I love Willow, and like previous suggestion of Rowan. I really don't like the others

    whoops I don't know where the rest of that went but no I'm not lol but I've gotten the point I'll mark it off the list!

  • What about Waverly? Willow is pretty, the others are... Well, they're not good.
  • I am just here to say...I am a Katie too...and I name my kids weird names too. :) Good luck!
  • Not Owen.  Even if you've loved it for years, your future daughter won't care when she is constantly mistaken for a boy!  I agree that Rowan is a better option.  Willow works too.
