Yep- that's why I said I missed the mark- when I read it I thought it was meant to be funny, then I saw her reply and was quite surprised it was serious.

I'm late to this party... OP, be thankful that your man took it upon himself to figure out what he was having for dinner and to cook it for himself. I meal plan each week so I don't get the usual response "I don't know what we should have for dinner." I also do the grocery shopping and cooking even at 7 months pregnant, it's not the end of the world.

Yep- that's why I said I missed the mark- when I read it I thought it was meant to be funny, then I saw her reply and was quite surprised it was serious.

If she had posted almost the exact same thing, but had just acknowledged that her reaction was ridiculous and over the top, I probably would have been right there with her. I definitely feel some ridiculous feels while pregnant. But I have the ability to recognize just how absurd I'm being, so I come here to get it out rather than subjecting my friends and loved ones to my insanity. But she seems to really feel justified in throwing a fit and making her partner read her mind/guess why she's so upset.

The only tantrum I wanted to throw was after making 48 homemade banana bread muffins that the dog climbed onto the counter and ate. Including the muffin paper. He graciously left me a few, but I was pissed. Partly because I wanted to eat them and because I was worried the dog would shit all over my carpet with an upset stomach. Then I remembered an excess of bananas makes you constipated and felt a little bad for the dog. It's not like he knew.

Dang, it legitimately scares me when I see an animal that has more self control than I do. I mean, seriously, there's no way you're waving a plate of cupcakes in front of me unless you weren't planning on eating any.

Firstly - this thread is kind of hilarious and cheered me up while I'm awake at 5am with mild contractions.
OP - I cook every night for my baby's father because he works damn hard all week to provide for us. I'm 36 weeks and it's becoming pretty difficult to have the energy to cook every night. If he cooked a meal, no matter how 'smelly' (hahaha) I would be thrilled as I'd get a night off. I would also be happy to have a belly full of McDonalds, because it's an awesome treat.
Chill out and put a peg on your nose if he dares cook for himself again.
