Aria Eve EDD 12/11/15 Arrived 12/4/15 @ 8:24pm via induction 39 weeks exactly 8 lbs 10 oz 21 1/4 inches
My last BPP estimated that she was over 9 lbs despite highly controlled Gestational Diabetes and the last month of BPP's showed she had right ventricular hypertension. The MFM recommended a c-section if I went the full 40 weeks because there was no way I could deliver a 10 lb baby. (I'm 4'11" with a small pelvic frame). My OB pushed for an induction as soon as I hit 39 weeks, and believed it was my only chance at a vaginal delivery after failed membrane sweeps at 37 and 38 weeks. I went in at 10pm on Dec 3, and received a cervical tablet twice, both failed. I only went from a 1.5 cm to 3 cm., had constant painful contractions that were considered unproductive. We broke my water around 11:30am and I instantly went to 5 cm. Contractions became excruciating and I begged for/received an epidural at 3pm. Since I had an epidural they gave me pitocin. I was ready to push a little after 7:30pm and she was in my arms at 8:24pm. It hardest/weirdest experience ever. But she is beautiful and worth every second. My DH and I are in love, and I couldn't love him more for the way he is with her. So sweet, my DH and his little Sweet Pea. She is so precious that I feel overwhelmed when I look at her and just want to cry because I love her so much. LOL - hormones!!
Super easy and quick delivery, just like my first. Water broke over night and got to hospital around 4am. Contractions started getting really painful and I was 5cm dilated when I got to hospital. Got epidural and I was in heaven. Went to sleep for a little while and around 10-10:15 then checked me and I was fully dilated ready to go. Told me to start pushing when I felt the urge. Next contraction, I pushed and out her head came. One more push and she was completely out at 10:30am! Only complication I had was my cervix closed too fast after delivery that my placenta could not get out so I was rushed for surgery to remove it. After that everything is going great. Baby and I are doing well. Going home tomorrow.
8lbs 4oz 20.5 inches long with a 14.5inch head Went in at 5pmto start Cervadil. That was placed at 6:30. Around 11:30pm my contractions got so intense I asked to be checked cause I wanted an Epidural. I got checked at 12:30am and I was only 2.5cm but my water broke. The midwife was called and she arrived around 1:30am and checked me and I was 4cm. She called for the epidural. Arpund 2:30am he came in and he started to place it around 4am. By the time he was done placing it I was 7cm but on the next contraction I felt like I had to push. I had Jayce 4 contractions later at 5:09am. Very quick and of course the Epidural never really had a chance to work. I tore internally but but externally and I have no idea how many stitches I needed. The midwife said it was a first or second degree but straight back into my vagina.
Our beautiful baby girl Thea arrived a week early edd the 6th of dec but decided to grace us on 30th Nov! Born 7 pound 10 at 9.20pm and we couldn't be happier
8lb exactly 20.2" long 12 hour labor, epi only fully took to one side, no tears. Latching well. Mommy and baby doing well. I'm exhausted and loopy so excuse my lack of full sentences!
Ava Isabella Edd: 06/12/15 Born: 03/12/15 Weight: 7lbs 15ozs
Quickest labour ever, Contractions started at 3am.. 10 minutes apart, pain totally manageable at home.. I phoned the delivery suite at 6.30 am as they where coming every 6 minutes but still manageable.. The midwife told me to have a bath and something to eat and then to ring back and keep them informed, 6.45am my waters ruptured, and my contractions where coming quick and strong.. Dropped little girl off at a friends at 7.20am, started pushing in the car all the way to the hospital.. Parked up, and started pushing in the car park where I felt Ava's head coming.. Just made it in to a room, and 2 minutes later Ava was fully out born at 7.44 am .. Was in shock and running on adrenaline all day.. She is perfect and adorable..was very congested due to how quick she came, but that all settled after a few hours.. I was back home by 12.45pm when Ava was 5 hours old, no tears or stitches needed.. Total euphoria.. Had a few breastfeeding problems when my milk came in, was struggling with the latch, but we've figured that out now.. Good luck to all Dec 2015 Mums
Olive Hiu-Tung
December 10th 2015 (Due Dec 19th)
5lbs 14.4oz
20 inches long
Induced due to small size and low fluids.
Giving birth was by far one of the hardest and most traumatizing experiences of my life. And having Olive was the best thing to ever happen to me. I will come back and edit in details later it right now I'm recovering and we are enjoying our baby daughter.
EDIT:
So here is what went down and how we wound up becoming parents to this tiny pixie on the 10th.
I went in for a growth scan on the 9th and was told that her weight, estimated at 6lbs and change, was lagging for her gestational age (38+3). Furthermore, my fundal height was lagging by about a month. It was decided that induction was the best course of action.
I went into the hospital around 8pm that night with my husband. I was given a Foley catheter, a cervical balloon, which, for thsoe of you who have never had one, is absolutely awful. I see no reason to lie. But it doesn't take long to put in and the second it's in, I stopped feeling it. Other than some minor cramping and irregular, slightly painful contractions, it didn't bother me.
From here on in, most of the next day was hurry up and wait. I lost my mucus plug early the next morning. I ate meals and spent a very boring day cooped up in my room with my husband waiting for something to happen. Around 10 pm that night, they removed the Foley catheter with the aid of nitrous (HIGHLY recommend it - it's amazing) and gave me a dose of a trans-vaginal drug that was known to bring on labor. They said if that didn't work, i'd get pitocin.
Around elevenish, they came in to assess my situation and decided to start pitocin within the hour. But my body gave them absolutely no time. Within five minutes, i was having regular contractions about two minutes apart. I will talk more in the "What do contractions feel like?" thread but Coles Notes is that they started out feeling like period cramps. I described it as like having a tiny period every few minutes. They would start out, become more intense, taper off.
Within an hour, i had gone from no dilation or effacement to being 5-6cm dilated. I don't know how effaced i was but at that point I DEMANDED my epidural and got it. The pain was so intense and complete, I was throwing up and had already once hallucinated somebody in the room who wasn't there. The epidural did not hurt me at all other than a slight weird feeling deep in my spine. I expected it to feel like a spinal tap. It did not.
Within another hour (2 hours from removal of the foley bulb) i was 10 cm dilated. My doctor said he had never seen a FTM dilate and efface that fast and it was assumed that I would delivery quickly
I pushed for 4.5 hours.
The pushing was not hard at all. It was just exhausting and i was scared of what would happen. The worst part following the epidural was the terrible feeling of needing to shit a bowling ball. It was probably the most uncomfortable thing i've ever experienced and for any of you who decided on, and successfully completed, a natural delivery, I AM IN AWE OF YOU. BECAUSE YOU ARE A COMPLETE FEKKIN UNICORN OR SOME OTHER MYTHICAL CREATURE THAT I STILL DON'T QUITE BELIEVE EXISTS.
Olive spent a long, long time in my birth canal. I had it in my mind that LABOR took hours but that "active labor", the actual pushing part, was a 15-20 minute ordeal and that once she was in the birth canal, it would be hard and painful but fast. That's what I assumed. I was wrong. This part lasted hours. It was hard to know when to push. Contractions even stopped for a period of time at which point i was told, in active labor, to try to sleep. I grew very tired at several points. I was given catheters to help me empty my bladder because the epidural makes it impsosible to feel when you have to pee or fart. I also pooped myself. Most women do. Don't worry about it.
During the delivery, her head spent quite some time visible but not yet crowning. This was not a fast process. When i finally did deliver her, i felt the "ring of fire" - there was pain involved though my epi worked well. It was not horrifying pain - the challenge was that overwhelming pressure. I felt certain i would split apart. From the moment she officially crowned, it took two contractions to expell her. I could identify every part of her as it passed through me. I knew when the head was done. I felt the shoulders. I felt the tummy and the rest slid out easily.
She screamed immediately and was given to me quickly. I couldn't see her at fist, my vision was very blurry. But she was amazing and i couldn't stop kissing her. I forgot all about the cord. I could feel it and thought for sure i had turned myself inside out.
I have a VERY small, VERY tight birth canal and Olive's head caused some second-degree tears. They gave me a shot of local anesthetic (didn't hurt) and stitched me up (didn't feel a thing). I fussed over it but was mostly content to hold my baby.
The healing has hurt quite a bit. I'm very swollen and the stitches are painful but they gave me numbing creams and sprays, dose me with tylenol and ibuprofen every few hours and have me squirt warm water all over the site which is very comforting and I feel really quite ok. I've not lost a lot of sleep yet. I just sleep in spurts of 2 hours or so throughout the day.
We are still in the hospital. Olive is jaundiced and I am crying a lot more than they'd like to see. I have been doing my best to convince them i am not depressed (I'm not at all!) but that it appears to be a reflex due to hormonal changes. Breastfeeding has been challenging and somewhat painful but we press on and have been pumping too. Because Olive is the size of a large preemie (5.15 at birth) she sometimes prefers to be eyedropper fed (ask me about it if you're curious because it's a process)
They say you forget all about the ordeal of giving birth once you're holding your child. This isn't true for me. I have been having nightmares about it and I remember it very vividly. But was it worth it? It was absolutely worth everything I went through and more. She has completely changed who i am - and that change was instantaneous. Things that used to seem important to me mean nothing to me right now. Even things that are arguably important in the greater scheme of things. They just have such a different impact. It's all about her. Everything is just about my family. I've never felt so full of love in my entire life.
Levi Wyatt Born 12/07/15 at 11:39 pm EDD: 12/4/15 He has been in the nursery due to low blood sugar/lack of interest in eating. I have been very busy trying to breast feed then having to supplement with formula feeding with a bottle then pumping. Am in a lot of pain from my c section but I can't get anything for it from the hospital because I am not a patient anymore. They are still letting me stay here because my baby is here and I am going to every feeding. The Dr. Prescribed me Norco and my husband went to pick it up but he forgot his wallet so they wouldn't fill the prescription for him since he didn't have ID and by the Time he got it and went back it was too late and they were closed. I am still too fat to see my vagina and freaked out a little and was crying about that yesterday but there's nothing like recently having been gutted to make you quickly learn how to resist the temptation to cry. This whole experience has not been what I expected at all and nothing has gone as planned. Will edit later to add more details/get it more in order... Am trying to be positive and go with the flow. I hope we get to go home soon.
After scheduling an induction for 12/11 (my doc estimated she would be 9-10lbs and didn't want me to go any further than 41 weeks) my little lady finally decided she was ready earlier and I went into labor on 12/9. I labored for 12 hours with terrible back pain before deciding I couldn't do a non-medicated birth and had an epidural put in. After 35 hours of labor, I was ready to push. It turned out Harper was turned at a 90 degree angle and each time I pushed, her heartrate dipped too low. My doctor tried to manually reposition her with no luck. We tried pushing on my side, squating and on my back with the same results. My doctor then attempted to assist with forceps, but with her head at an angle he was unable to place them properly. At that point we were rushed into an emergency c section where everything went perfectly smooth and she was finally out! She's completely healthy and so perfect. I was able to do skin to skin and start her breastfeeding an hour after her birth. I love her more than anything and even though our labor was pretty terrible, she was worth every moment of pain. We're not sure when we'll be able to go home because my oxygen levels keep dropping. Hoping to head home on Monday at the latest. Wishing all the December mamas speedy recoveries and healthy little ones!
Loving him. Have a spinal headache but I'm ok. Contraction s made me shake furiously. Went to 3 cm then had a epidural. Got to 6cm and started to feel my body pushing him out. Nurses didn't believe me. 5 mins later he came out.

Hang in there! I had a csection Monday and my little guy had the same issues. We could not get his blood sugar levels to stay up without an iv and supementing. It was scary and frustating. Finally happened throughout last night and got to come home this afternoon. I know how exhausted you must be, but keep the faith it will workout soon!
Miss Chloe Olivia was born via planned C Section which went very smoothly. DH and I arrived at the hospital at 7am the day of the CS. We were advised that we were 3rd of 4 C Sections that day. We were called to the OR at 10:30am. Once we arrived They took DH to get changed into scrubs while they went through all the administration stuff with me. When DH came back they then took me and did the spinal then took me into the OR and hooked me up to the monitors and DH came into the OR.
Chloe was born at 11:55am with no complications and we were able to do skin to skin while they stitched me up. Once they had completed stitching DH then went with Chloe to the recovery room while they transferred me to another bed and within 10 minutes I was in recovery with Chloe and DH and was breast feeding. We stayed in recovery for about 45 minutes then was taken back to the ward.
Campbell Laird Born: 12/12 Edd: 12/19 2.7 Kilos, 47.5cm long
We welcomed our first little boy today in Australia. Had a stretch and sweep on Thursday morning. Began having contractions Friday afternoon around 5pm. Contractions were 10-15 minutes apart until I went to sleep around 11pm.
Woke up at 3:30am with my bloody show. Decided it was about time to install our carseat. Lol. Called my midwife at 6:30am when contractions were 5 minutes apart and lasting over a minute. She told me to relax and come in when they were 3 minutes apart. So hubby and I went back to bed.
Woke up again around 9:30 with strong contractions every 3 minutes. Finally got to the hospital at 10:45am. Midwife said I was only 2cm but stretched me to 4 so I was admitted. Tried using gas for pain relief but it wasn't working as my contractions were only 1-2 minutes apart. Asked for an epidural and was told it would be over an hour wait. As soon as the doc walked in at 12:45 to do my epidural, my water broke. Checked me and I had gone from 2cm to fully dilated in a matter of 2 hours. So No epidural for me and I began pushing. Baby boy was born nearly two hours later.
Overall, was only in the hospital during labour for 4 hours. Campbell is doing great and he is a breastfeeding champ already! So in love.
So happy! Went out to dinner and started having legit contractions. Went straight from restaurant to hospital. 6 hours or so of relatively easy labor, iryrhromicon (spelling??) for the last hour or so, 2 pushes and she was out! Healthy and peaceful. Can't wait for big brother to meet her first thing in he morning!
I was induced on 12\10 due to genstational hypertension, that ultimately resulted in preeclampsia once at the hospital. Started pitocin around 9:30am and labored very comfortably through the day. Due to the preeclampsia, I was put in a magnesium drip, which made me feel awful, and constricted to the bed. I received my epidural around 4pm before they broke my water.
Baby's heart rate dropped from the epidural, slowing things down a bit, but after about 1.5 hours of pushing, the little guy made his way into the world. I was stuck in the magnesium for another 24 hours after birth (no getting up, drinking, or eating!) However, I am feeling great now, and could not be more in love with this little man!
I went in for an induction on 12/10. due to size. I had been having contractions for 2 days but nothing consistent but was already 3 cm dilated. Pitocin was started at 1:00 pm. Contractions weren't bad so they increased the pitocin at 4pm. At 4:30 contractions were 2-3 minutes apart so I asked for the epidural. Doctor finished the epidural at 5pm and said it should work in 15-20 minutes. After 15-20 minutes it still wasn't working and contractions were right on top of each other. They checked and I was 6cm. My water then broke. They came back at 6pm and tried to do another epidural which took another 20 minutes. At that point I could still feel everything and felt the urge to push and the nurse checked and he was right there. They had to get another doctor because mine was delivering another baby. 3 pushes later he was born at 6:54 pm. Ended up with an unwanted natural birth. 2nd degree tear which isn't bad and definitely some breastfeeding pain but heading home today.
Edd was 12/12 water broke just after midnight on 12/7. Wanted to take a shower first like I did with my first ( who was born 18 hrs after water breaking) started having painful contractions 3-5 min apart almost right away. Arrived at the hospital and checked in to l&d by 1am. There were two other babies being delivered so I couldn't see a Dr until later. Kept asking for an epi but was put off because they wanted me checked by the md first and the nurse had trouble keeping baby on the heartbeat monitor. Finally got the epi at 3:30a 8 cm and felt like her head was coming out while I was having it done. I thought I managed to sit still but ended up with complications for epi later. Baby girl was born just after 4am. It took 2 or 3 pushes and no tearing . I couldn't believe how fast and easy it was to get her out..just really painful since things progressed so fast and far before I got the epi.
So after she was born and the whole time we were in the hospital I had a terrible headache. I thought I had aggravated a previous neck injury so I didn't make a big deal about it I just asked for pain meds. Well right after we were discharged I started having trouble standing and on said to go to the ER. They admitted me for high blood pressure/ possible preeclampsia. It took a while to figure things out since I was confused from preeclampsia treatment and had trouble explaining my symptoms clearly..and didn't realize that the headache went away when I laid flat because i was always sitting up. but it turned out to be a punctured lumbar from the epidural. They said it would heal on it's own in 2 wks or they could fix it in 5 min with a blood patch. I opted for the patch. The procedure was very similar to having an epidural placed while they drew sterile blood and injected it into the epidural site. I immediately felt fine and blood pressure went back to normal.
My advice would be to make sure you speak up before being discharged if anything feels off. It was really hard to be back in the hospital for 2 days without my lo since dh had to take her home most of the time to take care of our son. Good news is she had to take a few bottles during that time and has been able to breastfeed again with no issues.
Anna was born December 8th at 6:06 pm. 6 pounds 4 oz. 19.5 inches.
EDD was Dec 17 with a scheduled c section for Dec 10. After a call and a visit to my OB on the 8th, I was moved up to that day because of possible cholestasis.
I was nervous, but the c section was a good experience. I was very loopy afterward and don't remember a lot of the night, but DH was incredible and held her in place so I could do a lot of skin to skin and breastfeeding. We came home yesterday and are doing great!
Savannah Mae EDD 12.16 Born 12.11 at 5:51 p.m. 39 weeks 2 days 6 lbs. 13 oz. 19 1/2 inches long
My OB induced me Thursday the 10th because she felt that if I went much longer I wouldn't be able to deliver her naturally because I am so petite and small framed. As a FTM I expected labor to be rough, but I didn't expect a 25 hour labor with 4 1/2 hours of pushing. Savannah was sunny side up, but we were able to turn her before she was born. However I was so severely swollen down there that she got stuck and no matter how hard I pushed, she wasn't coming down any farther. It came to the point where we had the choice of using a vacuum assist or getting a C-section. I desperately wanted a natural delivery, so after careful consideration we chose to use the vacuum. Luckily the vacuum was a life saver and within 1 minute of starting to use it she was born. By some crazy miracle I did not have any tearing or ripping, and I feel like recovery is going well considering all I went through. I didn't know I was capable of so much. Savannah is so perfect and is so so loved. Good luck to the rest of you December mommies, and remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel
Had contractions since Tuesday and they finally got to be 4 minutes apart, I was already 4cm at my Thursday check up and was already 6cm when I got to the hospital, I wanted a natural birth and although I started to doubt myself, my wonderful DH and nurse helped me through, for all you ladies trying to go natural, you will most likely hit a point when you say you can't do it, but I assure you, YOU CAN! but I totally don't blame anyone for getting an epidural, it surely does not make you a failure. I got to the hospital at 8pm and labored for 5 hours. Congrats to everyone! So lucky and in love with our beautiful little girl!
Adam Vincent was born December 11th at 132 pm. He was a whopping 9 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long. We are both doing well just adjusting to our new life together
Lucas "Luke" Matthew Born 12/12/2015 EDD 12/19/2015 5:37 pm 6lbs 9oz 18.9in.
Contractions started Friday the 11th at around 1am six minutes apart. Went to the hospital but was sent home because I was only dilated 2cm. Contracted throughout the day, ironically, it was my last day of work anyway. But feeling that pain all day was fun. At around 3am Saturday morning contractions were 3 1/2 minutes apart and I was going crazy. We went back to the hospital and were put in triage room 4 and I ended up being 4cm dilated and was admitted. (4 is my lucky number, so I had a feeling it was time to get things going). Admitted at 4am. Was given the epidural around 730am. (Best thing ever, didn't hurt as much as I feared it would but I still freaked out and bawled my eyes out). Was given pitocin at around 230pm because I had been hanging around 8cm for a few hours with no change. Started pushing at around 5pm and he was born at 537pm. Such a strange feeling knowing that a small person is coming/has come out of you, but looking at him makes my heart burst. He has a head full of hair and I'm so happy he came a tad bit early, and healthy, so that we can celebrate Christmas with him properly.
Eli Hayden Jacas EDD 12/9 Arrived 12/12 8 pounds 9 oz (ouch)
I'm so happy he's here. I don't wanna talk about the labor (between bad IV and epidurals falling out) as it was vaguely traumatizing but its over and I'm in love all over again.
He's having a lot of trouble latching but we're supplementing until we're home and I can start pumping (or not) not particularly stressed out about it as long as he's fed and happy.
Skye Elizabeth Marie Born: December 1 2015 at 6:32am Weight: 7lbs 2oz
Overall great delivery! My water broke at 4:30pm on November 30th. I wasn't having contractions, so they had to induce to reduce the chance of infection. I started having contractions around 1am, epidural around 3am and was fully dialated by 5am. Practiced pushing for a bit, called family. Pushed for 20 minutes and she was here! We are so happy
James Michael 7 lb, 2 oz 20 inches Born December 13th EDD was December 25th
I was induced early, had pretty sudden onset preeclampsia so OB wanted to go ahead. I was fairly favorable so just two cytotec pills did the job! Water broke and contractions continued on their own. Just pushed for about an hour. Labor overall was only about 12 hours and I'm an FTM! So blessed to have had a safe, fast delivery. We're both doing very well.
Everlee Grayce EDD- 12/4 Born 11/28 7 lbs 7 oz 19 in. Friday 11/27 my doctor stripped my membranes. He checked me afterward and I was 3cm dilated, so they called the hospital to see if they had a room available to admit me but they didn't have one, so I was sent home. I wasn't having any contractions. I was bummed. They had gotten my hopes up, but there were no signs she was coming. Saturday I woke up and showered and while I got ready I had a little dance party in my bathroom. I mean I was getting down!! Lol. I started having some contractions, but they were about 5 to 7 minutes apart. I wanted to keep moving, so I told my husband I wanted to go shopping. On our way to Target I heard a pop, but didn't feel any wetness so didn't think anything of it. As we walked around the store, I kept feeling a slight trickle coming out. I told my husband I was pretty sure my water had broke. I wasn't in a huge hurry since I wasn't really having contractions anymore, so I finished up our shopping and called the doctor when we were finished. He told me to head to the hospital. I got to the hospital at 3:30. I was 5cm dilated. They started me on light pitocin, and contractions started but they weren't bad at all, very manageable. I had ordered an epidural because with my first child I went so fast I didn't have time for an epidural. I finally got the epidural at 5:30. I had a few hard contractions and then I knew I was ready to push. The nurse didn't believe me but I made her check me, and sure enough I was very ready. Luckily my doctor wasn't far. He arrived and asked if he had time to change and I said no, I'm ready to push now. My next contraction I pushed her out in 1 push at 6:30. She wasn't crying, so they took her to the incubator in my room to try and get her to breathe. Turns out she was breathing fine, she had good color and was moving around. As I watched the nurses working on her, I could tell something was wrong by the way they were looking at each other and wispering. Finally I was able to hold her again, she was so beautiful and perfect, but I still had a horrible feeling that something was wrong. My OB came in and told me that the pediatrician wouldn't be in till the next day, and he would talk to me more about this, but it looked like Everlee had some signs of having Down Syndrome. My heart stopped. I went completely numb. A million thoughts and worries flooded my mind. How could something so perfect and beautiful have Down syndrome? They drew blood for the genetic testing the next day, but it could take a week or 2 to get the results. The next week was spent loving on our new little angel and doing a lot of research. The more I read the better I felt about it all. God chose us to be her parents for a reason. She has 2 parents that love each other unconditionally and we will love her the same. There is no doubt in my mind that she will only make us stronger and bring us and our family closer. The genetic testing came back positive last week. My husband took it pretty hard for a couple days, but he's much better now. Everlee is a complete blessing and we couldn't be more happy!
Atley Mae EDD - 12/22 Born 12/9/15 9 lbs 3 oz 21 inches
I went in for my 38 week appointment, had my membranes stripped. And we scheduled an induction for the following day due to large gestational size and polyhydraminos as well as a history of macrosomia and shoulder distocia in my first.
Ahhh Labor Day, it was so much different than my first. I went in dry, they couldn't get a line started on me and after 3 failed attempts they brought in the speciality people. We checked in at 7:30 and we didn't start pit till 1:30. I was 3 cm to start. Contractions were present when we started but nothing unmanageable. And then they broke my water around 4pm, which with my volume of fluid was really funny. I can't imagine having that break out in public I would have totally has the movie style gush, and then some. The contractions got intense at this point. I decline the epidural because I really wanted to do it without this time. A couple hours later I tried nitrous oxide, I didn't do well with this because I felt like I was being smothered in the mask. I finally caved and asked for an epidural, yea it never worked. I wasn't doing a wonderful job keeping my cool at this point the pit was maxed and the contractions were hard and fast. I got a couple doses of fentanyl and received a little relief. got a cervadil insertion Thursday morning for high BP (not dialted and thick cervix) went back Friday morning at 115am for second insertion was feeling cramps but the nurse gave me a few tylenol and told me cramping was normal with cervadil and sent me home. I got home (we live 45 mins away) and the cramping was unbearable so we hoped back in the car to go back to the hospital....iI iidnt know if it was labour or not I just needed pain management! anyways showed up to the he case room screaming at this point and they checked me I was 6cm dialted and my water had broken because they couldn't feel membranes (they will discover later the Benjamins head was keeping it all in haha) anyways I was in so much pain I immediately asked for an epidural which took 2 hours to get wouldn't have been a problem except by the time I got it and sucked a tank of laughing gas clean I was 10 cm and ready to push. Benjamins heartrending dropped so they told me I has to push him out in minutes or it was an emergency c section.....well I never pushed so hard in my life 1045 am Friday morning approx. 8 hours start to finish I had my little man in my arms....they say the second baby comes faster I'll be sure to camp at the hospital so I can get the epidural before I nearly kill the nurses near me haha
Hayden Renée was born at 8:22 am this morning 12/14. I technically went into labor on Saturday but her head was not engaged enough to make labor progress so I was sent home at 1cm dilated, 50% effaced. Went back on Saturday night because I was sure the pain I was in had meant I had progressed more buuuut of course it hadn't. I was struggling so they gave me a shot of morphine and told me if it was actually labor then my contractions wouldn't go away they would just be easier to manage while I progressed more. Slept off and on through out the night until 8 am sunday when I couldn't sleep anymore. Rocked and bounced through contractions til I couldn't take it anymore and went to l&d around 430. Had only progressed to a 2 so opted for another shot of morphine thinking the night would go the same as the last. Went home and proceeded to have an intensly painful 3 hours until I decided we needed to go back. Lo and behold I was then a 6 so they admitted me and I immediately ordered an epidural. It came and was glorious....for about an hour. The left side didn't exactly take and then the right side seemed to wear off. They put something stronger in it and that helped for a while but it ended up having to be done 3 more times just to keep me remotely comfortable. By then I had stopped progressing so they started pitocin. Shortly after that my water broke and by the final time they went to put stronger meds in my epidural they didn't work at all but it was time to push. So I felt every detail of every contraction and push and finally after 32 mins and 20 pushes she was out but not crying. Turns out she was in a little bit of shock and started crying soon after the nurses took a look at her. We have been doing skin to skin all day and working on breast feeding. Mommy and daddy are exhausted but so in love. Oh before I forget edd was DEC 22 and she was 6.5 lbs and 19.5 inches long.

Went in at 5pmto start Cervadil.

He has been in the nursery due to low blood sugar/lack of interest in eating.

EDD 12/10
Born 12/10

EDD - 12/22
Born 12/9/15 9 lbs 3 oz 21 inches
The rest got kind of ugly, I made a lot of noise..... But I did it. And believe it or not no tears and the healing process has gone really well I feel great and baby is wonderful

got a cervadil insertion Thursday morning for high BP (not dialted and thick cervix) went back Friday morning at 115am for second insertion was feeling cramps but the nurse gave me a few tylenol and told me cramping was normal with cervadil and sent me home.
