Why o why did I go to the grocery store to pick-up a few items while hungry.
Not only did I purchase too many bagels with two containers of cream cheese but I also bought a box of little debbie nutty buddy bars and another box of Fruity Pebbles cereal. What is wrong with me..... this is why my food pantry is too full.
Now I'm sitting here wondering why didn't I bring any nutty buddy bars for my lunch today, geeze!
@crdo - I was just thinking about dinner and I thought "fried chicken?" and then I gagged. Enjoy it for those of us who can't!
Oops, sorry to cause a gag! For the last few weeks chicken sounded awful and gaggy to me too, but apparently not cooked this way today. Pregnancy is weird.

This thought occurred before I saw your post, no worries. You didn't cause anything! I did eat chicken in my lunch burrito. Apparently it's okay as long as I can't see it? Pregnancy IS weird.
If anyone has been keeping up on my job situation and our team getting laid off at the end of this month....guess who just found out she has a phone interview in 5 minutes?? THIS LADY! Wish me luck.

It feels like a super case of First World Problems, so I suppose I should be grateful that that's the most irritating thing that's happened to me this week. But I'm sure there's some kind of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs reference I could figure out to make if I were less nauseated and could concentrate on anything besides crackers.
@LilWatz Uuuuuuuuugggggghhhhh. I feel you. So irritating. The one thing I miss about the soulless baby factory practice I went to in the beginning of my first pregnancy is that they had everything under one roof -- every scan, every test, every piece of equipment. You never had to go to any other place for anything. So dreamy. They even were located in the hospital so if you went into labor at your appointment you could just hop downstairs and give birth. If only their care providers had been able to act as though patients were something more than an irritating distraction in their day...
So, I have said from day 1 of finding out this time that we were not going to find out the sex. Then, we had blood drawn yesterday for the Harmony test, and guess what, I said, "Sure go ahead and report the sex." I have no willpower.

Update: Our dog's left knee TPLO surgery went well! The surgeon said he did great but he had a significant tibial slope that had to be corrected. He was glad we did the surgery when we did to prevent further arthritis from developing (the arthritis now is mild). The bad news is the slope will eventually cause issues with his right knee and he'll need surgery on that too down the road. I'm happy for now that my fur-baby is alive and on the (long) road to recovery. Also, I told my boss about my pregnancy and it went well too...she was happy for me and excited. A very, very good day all around.
@chelthorn I second "cuties" being so good. I have been craving fruit like a mother and it really sucks that all the fruit is out of season. "Cuties" are still delicious though. Plus, vitamins! I just ate two for my afternoon snack. Mmmm.
DH has been hopping on board with my late night snack attacks. It's not good. On the plus side, we will both need to lose weight after baby. Workout partner!
So I told all my girlfriends on Friday night that we are expecting... yesterday I got a phone call from one of them who said "By the way (Her Fiance's name) said he could tell you were pregnant on Halloween he said you put on weight."
WHY THE H*LL IS THAT ACCEPTABLE TO SAY TO ME...and in ALL HONESTY I really DIDN'T put any weight on... at Halloween I wasn't a month pregnant... my BOOBS were bigger, thats it... so are you telling me your fiance was staring at my boobs?! I was so annoyed, I just said "oh well glad he didn't mention anything to me then". Why do people think they can comment on Pregnant women's bodies?? My DH was so annoyed when he heard that...
Can I just say that I will be surprised if my kid doesn't come out with an orange tint? I'm obsessed with all things the color orange; cuties, clementines, Cheetos and tomato-red pepper soup!

I went from wanting nothing to do with any legitimate food group this weekend to scarfing down an entire pu pu platter at lunch and then eyeballing co-workers food. Oh. What's that? Thank you. I wanted to say something too but kept my mouth shut. Some people just amaze me. Really, you believe a store bought test? Or how about I had my NT and I'm 12 weeks and it's clearly a girl... I'm gonna laugh when her girl is born with a penis.
Uh oh... There's a fetus that's talking to us over on the ultrasound page. I read people's posts before about how they get annoyed when people post from their kids perspective on Facebook and I didn't get it. Yeah... Now I do kinda creepy
Yeah. That one caught me sideways too. DH sends email updates to his rents from baby's perspective. It's cute I guess, but not my bag. My folks just get pics and funny stories. I do tend to give my kid attitude it may not have just yet.
Although, to pp credit, if anyone spoke in utero, it probably was Michael Phelps. Maybe that bean really is the next Olympic record shattering swimmer.
Sandwiches are my new "flavor of the week" apparently. I think I'm impressing DH with my new-found appetite recently. Last night for dinner we had pulled pork sandwiches. Immediately after I was still hungry and made myself a ham and cheese sandwich. And I ate all of it. He was like "Bravo".
@mrsschmity sandwiches are the beeeeeeeeest. yesterday I found myself running errands at lunch time and drove past a restaurant that does a sandwich I'm obsessed with but that doesn't have high chairs or a very toddler-friendly vibe so I never go to. but since DD was at her dayhome I went in and just sat at the bar and stuffed my face with sandwich all by myself. It was amazing.
@mrsschmity - how'd the phone interview go? I hope you celebrated with a big ol' sammich. I LOVE sandwiches. Always have, always will. I am the female Joey Tribiani.
So went for my dinner with hubs. All is good. We talked it out. However, with endless choices of delicious food in front of me, what did I order? Chicken tenders and fries. Good lord.
That's great that you and your husband were able to work everything out, @CourtJack! And hey, you wanna eat what you wanna eat--sometimes that's good ole chicken tenders and fries.

The one part that I'm not so confident about is when she asked me about my college degree - I mentioned yesterday that I got a voicemail from a different company saying they couldn't hire me because I didn't have a degree, so I'm just hoping this potential employer doesn't automatically cross me off their list of applicants. I will hopefully find out yay or nay within the next week or so!

I'm eating candy canes for lunch because nothing else seems appealing. I have amazing breath right now.
Confession: I went to the grocery store at lunch to get the rest of the weeks groceries, but I knew I needed to eat first or else I would buy the whole store, so I detoured past my house and ate all of our leftovers. I went to the grocery store and by the time I got home and put the groceries away I was starving again, so I had to go pick up some "second lunch" on the way back to work.
