So I finally went in to get my lab work done today. COULD NOT give a urine sample to save my life. This happened every time I was supposed to give one during my last pregnancy too. Spent 45 minutes locked in the bathroom contorting myself into various squatting positions over the stupid tiny cup, trying to meditate on rushing waterfalls and imagining pee flowing freely out of me, trying running the tap, everything. I was supposed to fill this tiny orange cup just up to the line she drew on, then finish my business in a big blue cup, but it seemed so hard and complicated and I could feel the pressure of the situation and hear screaming kids out in the blood-sample portion of the lab and I just. could not. go. So frustrating! Now I have to go back and somehow come up with a game plan to be able to pee on demand when I get there. Can't we all just trust that I don't have chlamydia and leave my poor shy bladder alone???
I have a hard time peeing on demand too or in other public settings like a public bathroom. I have been called a pee-tard once... or lots.
