Re: FFFC

  • I came to my friends house today because if I'm here my kids play with hers and I can be lazy on the couch and they don't bother me. It's great since I feel like garbage. It's also great that she knows this and doesn't care.

  • @denny+lee ugh that kind of shit is so annoying. just don't tell anyone anything :P
  • Bursting with FFFCs today...

1 I am old and have no idea what QBF means.

2 I really want this baby to be a girl. So do my husband and son.

3 I really truly do not care if I or anyone else use gender and sex interchangeably.

4 I can't remember the last time my floors were properly swept and mopped.

My FFFC is that I would really like to try for a med-free delivery and it seems I can get NO support from most of the women I am close to.  They're all "Oh, you think you can, eh?" and "Well, ha, you just wait." I just want to do what's best and I realize that a birth plan is just a plan and if I need an epi I'll get one and if I need a c-section THAT'S FINE but can no one just support me in wanting to TRY!?!? Bitches... lol.

Girl, this will be my fourth! You can do it!
  • Where the heck is Thursday ticker for this week? Is my baby brain that bad already, or did it not get posted? I missed last week and I feel lonely, now :(

I've known MANY women who've done it med-free (myself included). You can do whatever you set your mind to!! And if you decide you don't want to continue med-free, IT'S OKAY, too! If your baby gets here safely and in good health, rock on with your bad self!

    1. Quote box fail.

    3. Agree.
  • We're not sending out Christmas cards this year. I just can't be bothered.
  • On Fridays in class we play Sparkle (spelling word game where if they don't know the next letter of the spelling word they're out. Or if the person says "sparkle" after a completed word, you're out). I purposefully rigged the game when it got down to two students left so that my lower performing student would win. The other student was devastated!!! But the lower student never ever knows her spelling words and it was the best way to praise her. Poor little first graders.

  • @sdnybrk, I don't think one was ever created.  I accidentally posted mine with the Fri/Sat ticker change ladies, but I should have been a Thursday ticker changer. Let's resolve to get on the ball next week!

  • FFFC: I enjoy lurking on other boards and watching the interactions. Although some of it makes my anxiety kick up. People can be MEAN. But I also enjoy the snark from a lot of them. These boards keep me entertained most of my day.

Also, I'm not bothering to tell anyone (outside of this post right now and my husband) my plan to go med free delivery. I don't want to hear their stuff. It's my business and my choice. I also don't want to hear it if I decide in the middle of things that I want some freakin meds.

Finally, I don't want to know the gender. I'm super excited to wait until the birth, but I am curious as hell! So I find myself wondering about it a lot. I don't feel pulled to either gender. It's going to be a lonnnng 29 more weeks.

For gender- we've both been surprised and found out before birth, and I have to say that I LOVED not knowing what baby was. It was like an extra incentive during pushing ;) not that you need one, but I heart surprises and it was sooooo cool when they laid her on my chest and my husband was able to tell me she was a girl!!
  • @denny+Lee people are so rude!!! I'm not ruling anything out for delivery. My plan is to go as long as I want without an epidural so I can continue to walk around and what not but if the pain gets unbearable or I am in labor for so long I just want to sleep then I'll get one and not feel disappointed. And of course if the doctor says I need a c-section I won't risk the baby's health! My MIL was asking me because she had 1 natural birth, 1 vaginal birth, and 1 c-section lol. She was very sweet when I told her my plan and said don't feel bad about getting meds and she doesn't want to see me in pain lol
