@wenikilina I just got back from the RE this morning and I'm FET is scheduled for Dec 8th. Got pushed back because she wanted my uterus lining to thicken up some more and today she confirmed it was looking good so we are all set for next Tuesday. How are you feeling after stimming for 6 days? That was usually when I started noticing some symptoms.

LSatturo126 Thank you!! Stay hopeful... they only expected me to make 3 and I made six follies and ended up with 3 embryos and my AMH was lower than yours. I did acupuncture and took herbs to help with egg quality, raspberry leaf tea CoQ10 and DHEA to help with egg quality as well. Some RE's will suggest it and other's won't, but research has shown it to be helpful during IVF treatments. I took them up to a week before the starting stims. It doesn't hurt to see how your RE feels about it, but regardless I would suggest starting acupuncture asap if you can afford to do so.

Hi @ShayLatrice and @LSatturo126! I just got back from my Stim Day 6 Ultrasound. I was so excited to go and see the progress! Well, I came out just feeling like crying. The right ovary has not responded. It's "quiet." The left ovary has about three follicles that are growing nicely. One more close behind. Man oh man.

I'm not sure why it cut the rest of my post off! Anyway, my doc said it's right along where she expected for me since my reserve is low anyhow. Sigh.. There's still time so I hope they start waking up more. My lining is looking good. I really have not felt that bad. My left side has been more uncomfortable than my right, so that explains why. @wenikilina I'm so glad that you have some follies growing on your left side and I'm so sorry your right ovary isn't cooperating. We seemingly are having identical cycles because my right ovary wasn't really responding either. My ER was schedule and at my last ultrasound my RE was like lets hold out for a little longer to get some of the smaller ones to catch up so she literally pushed me until she maxed me out and my body told her I was ready by my estrogen levels. Looks like Dec 8th is going to be a big day for both of us!

Hi Ladies..good lcuk to you both with your retrieval and transfer. I also have DOR and a very low amh at 0.1. I have been doing IUI's but am ready to move to IVF at the start of the new year. I am nervous and anxious. I am scared to spend all the money and get no eggs. Most of my cycles only my right ovary has responded but my last cycle both grew follicles. On my IUI's i have had either 1 or 2 follicles. Hoping IVF will up that number and there will be some good eggs they can get.!
@rachlee2010 I will be keeping my FX crossed for you and your IVF cycle when you move forward. Please keep us updated and don't be afraid to tell them to be aggressive with your medication protocol to maximize your chances of getting both ovaries in the game and as many eggs as your body will produce in one cycle!!

@LSatturo126 maybe we will be cycle buddies..it will be nice having someone go through the same things with the same issues. I already do acupuncture so hopefully that will help. I also take a prenatal that has extra Vit D and coq10 that was recommended by my dr and I am taking DHEA. Just hoping we can get a fair amount of eggs (i'm not expecting tons but I would love to get at least 5 or so and that their e good eggs..it's so scary
@LSatturo126 my Acupuncturist had me taking 50 mg of DHEA per day and 400 mg of CoQ10 along with some other Chinese Herbs. The bottle should tell you the maximum dosage for both.

@ShayLatrice I should have written down the exact measurements, but I was not thinking clearly at that time! If I remember correctly, they were 13, 11, 10 and 7. I have asked my husband to help me to remember to write them down tomorrow. Do you remember what your estrogen levels were at for your stim ultrasound appts? My doctor called last night with my blood test results. She said that my estrogen level is rising, which indicates that there is growth in the ovary, but not as much as she would hope at this point. So she increased my nightly dose of the Menopur. One mature follicle puts off around 200 of estrogen and I am not even there. My level is 167. I was feeling pretty depressed and upset over this all evening. I have four follicles currently maturing - my estrogen level should be higher, for sure. If all four follicles were mature my estrogen level should be around 800. We are almost two-thirds of the way through stimulation and my level is only 167! This just got really hard for me! I hope I get some better results at my ultrasound tomorrow.

@rachlee2010 Good luck to you as you move onto IVF. Keep us posted with your progress. I have definitely seen success stories with IVF and low AMH. I wish that I had known about my DOR sooner, I would have skipped everything else and gone straight to IVF! Although it is a risk, not knowing how many eggs you will have or if they will be of good quality, it is worth it - it is to create your baby. If it does not work for me, I will try and try again and again. And if by chance I cannot have a baby, I will know that I did everything I could. But you are right, it is scary, for sure. I now see the "emotional rollercoaster" of IVF! I was so excited yesterday morning, and after my appointment I was very low, and today I am headed back up. I've got hope! Don't ever lose your hope.

@wenikilinadon't be depressed, with Low AMH you start slow in most cases, and in an IVF cycle a mature follicle is around 16-20mm. My follies were growing slowly as well in the beginning. I'm curious as to why they didn't just start you on a higher dosage of Menopur to being with, but I'm glad they increased it.
In my cycle, I started suppression meds on Sept 13th my first baseline wasn't until 12 days later on the 25th, I was only taking lupron at this time and I literally didn't even have any follies starting to grow naturally on my own. The day of my baseline I started 300IU of Gonal F and 150IU of Menopur. Went back for U/S 5 days later and there were 5 small follies visible. The next U/S was October 2nd only 2 follies were measuring at 11mm and the other 3 were at 9mm. Went back on October 5th (Day 10 of Stims) and had 4 more small follies pop up, my ER was supposed to be October 8th, but my RE was like let's give it a few more because the larger follies were still only like 15mm and the smaller one had jumped up to 12. I went back 2 days later on the 7th and the larger follies were up to 19mm and the smaller ones were up to almost 16mm. 12 days total of stimming... so it can take a while for them to jump in size. They should be growing about 2mm per day. When is your last official stim day?

@ShayLatrice I wonder how they choose what meds that we will be on. It sounds like we have similar cases, yet we were given some different meds. I was started on Microdose Lupron 20 Units (AM and PM) on November 25th, two days prior to beginning the stims (she did not want to over-suppress my ovaries), and will continue this med twice a day until it is time to stop before egg retrieval. On November 27th I added on my stimulation meds, which are Follistim in the AM and Menopur in the PM. I've been on 225 IU of Follistim daily since. My first day of Menopur I was started at 225 IU. The second day of stims the Menopur dose decreased to 150 IU. And after my Stim Day 6 ultrasound my doctor increased the Menopur dose back to 225IU. I hope this has helped! At this point my last day of stims would be this Sunday AM, December 6th. How are you doing? Are you set on only transferring one? Or have you considered transferring multiple embryos?

@wenikilina I think Follistim and Gonal F are pretty much the same thing just a different name brand. It seems like you are doing an average length stim cycle...Hopefully when you go to your next appointment you see that 2mm per day growth. FX Crossed.
I'm doing pretty well, ready to get this FET over and really hoping this one it the ONLY one I need to do. I'm tired of injections... and I'm really tired of Lupron. I will only be transferring 1 embryo at a time, I have multiples in my family and I don't wanna risk ending up with more than 2 babies in one pregnancy. Other than that, because I'm under 35 I would literally would have to fight with my RE to even get her to transfer more than one.

Wow we are all on the ends of the US lol. Born and raised in Brooklyn NY until I turned 27 and then moved to Old Bridge, NJ. I'm now married and live in Manalapan NJ. My neighbor is Vic Dibetetto the comedian that I'm sure you ladies have seen on FB "milk and bread gotta get the milk and bread" lol. Anyway the only meds I have been on Are Gonal F and supplements. I had an HSG done Monday and my good ovary has some blockage that they are setting up surgery to see whats the problem, I know it's scar tissue from a tumor that I had removed nine years ago. Hope they fix it. Still looking to the IVF January hopefully.

@ShayLatrice So I had my Stim Day 8 Ultrasound today. I only have three follicles that are pretty much mature and will be ready for retrieval, according to my doctor. They are measuring 17.0mm, 17.1mm and 17.2mm. There is a smaller one at 11.0mm, but she does not think it will be ready in time. Also, my right ovary woke up and has a small one at 9.3mm, which will also most likely not be ready. So we are heading into ER with three follicles. She gave us the option to cancel or proceed. We have chosen to proceed because we have been through so much and would always wonder what could have been. So I am pretty nervous. I just hope that those three follicles contain eggs and I hope they are good ones!! Awaiting my blood work results tonight.. But I am scheduled for another ultrasound tomorrow morning. She wants to keep a close watch on me because the follicles are almost ready and she does not want me to ovulate too soon on my own.

So I have an update... This afternoon my doctor called with my blood test results and my Progesterone is high at 5.1. My IVF cycle has been cancelled. We are now scheduled for IUI tomorrow. Sigh....!

@ShayLatrice@LSatturo126@rachlee2010 Thank you for all of the support. I appreciate each one of you! IUI went well, they said that my husband's sperm looked very good, so that's a great thing. Now we just wait... Hoping for good things to come! If this does not work, we have already been placed on the February IVF list. I just hope that we will have to cancel that! Haha. My doctor said that my progesterone indicated that my cells had already started to change and my body was in the beginning stages of ovulating on its own. So going in for an ER would not be a good idea. If the IUI does not work, next IVF she will be putting me on an even more aggressive med protocol. Hoping for positive news for you all!! Will keep you updated...

I am going in tomorrow to check my cyst. If it went down enough they will let me start meds for an IUI this month. If not I am planning on IVF next cycle.
Do you ladies mind sharing what your meds/doses were? Sorry if you already did but I don't know what mine will be yet but I do know that the dr mentioned it will pretty much be the highest doses which worries me because I have heard that can hurt egg quality. The nurse did say it's not always the dose that hurts eggs but the amount of days on the stims. I figure they are the dr's and I should trust them but my husband is really only willing to spend the money on one IVF so I am super scared we will spend the money and get nothing and not be able to do it again. I may be able to convince him to do a second round but not sure.

@rachlee2012 Thank you!! Hoping you are able to start IUI this month and it will be successful for you. I started microdose Lupron two days prior to starting my stimulation meds of Follistim and Menopur. I was on 20 units of Lupron in the AM and PM throughout cycle, 225 units of Follistim in the AM, and Menopur in the PM - this is the med that was adjusted. Stimulation Day 1 I was on 225 units of Menopur, Stimulation Day 2-5 was 150 units of Menopur and Stimulation Day 6-7 was back to 225 units of Menopur. Then I was cancelled...

@wenikilina best of luck with your IUI, we are going Wed for our third IUI. Hopefully you guys will be off the IVF list! Hope some good news on your end in two weeks! I just found out last week that my left good ovary only has blockage somehow so I have to get checked out and remove the scar tissue. Hopefully my insurance says to stop the IUI's and go straight to IVF. Right now for the IUI's I'm on Gonal F 75dosage injection. I'm taking DHEA, CoQ10 and prenatal vitamins. That's it for right now. @rachlee2010 did your doctor put you on two weeks of birth control for the cysts? I wound up getting two last month and they put me on birth control for two weeks and then follow up my cysts were gone.

@LSatturo126 they did not put me on birth control pills. The last time I had a cyst they just told me to come back with my next cycle and it was gone or at least much smaller that we could move forward. This time they had me come in a week later to check it which was today. Its still there but I believe it's smaller. I think it originally was 2.7cm and today it was 2.4 so I am waiting to hear from the nurse but the dr I saw this morning things it's best to do nothing this cycle and wait for next and hopefully it will be gone then.
We are hopefully then going to move forward with IVF but I am so nervous about it. I am no scared of the shots or anything like that just scared of spending all the money and getting nothing out of it. I get so jealous when I hear of people getting 20 plus eggs on a cycle of IVF and I am hoping to get at least 4..it's so sad.
@rachlee2010 yeah I know what you are saying. I usually only make 3 follicles on my left and never on my right. After three months today I want for a follow up, 6! On my left and two on my right!!!!! Not that it matters cuz I'm having IUI this week. But it gave me hope and I think the birth control helped me a little. Be patient and try to be positive.

I am taking a month (maybe 2) off from treatment because I have a cyst from the clomid from last month. We have an appointment set up with our RE on Dec 28 to map out our IVF cycle which will be in January. If I get a period right around christmas it will be the cycle after...if it holds off until January then that will be it! I am nervous and excited

@ShayLatrice I should have written down the exact measurements, but I was not thinking clearly at that time! If I remember correctly, they were 13, 11, 10 and 7. I have asked my husband to help me to remember to write them down tomorrow. Do you remember what your estrogen levels were at for your stim ultrasound appts? My doctor called last night with my blood test results. She said that my estrogen level is rising, which indicates that there is growth in the ovary, but not as much as she would hope at this point. So she increased my nightly dose of the Menopur. One mature follicle puts off around 200 of estrogen and I am not even there. My level is 167. I was feeling pretty depressed and upset over this all evening. I have four follicles currently maturing - my estrogen level should be higher, for sure. If all four follicles were mature my estrogen level should be around 800. We are almost two-thirds of the way through stimulation and my level is only 167! This just got really hard for me! I hope I get some better results at my ultrasound tomorrow.

I just found out last week that my left good ovary only has blockage somehow so I have to get checked out and remove the scar tissue. Hopefully my insurance says to stop the IUI's and go straight to IVF.
Right now for the IUI's I'm on Gonal F 75dosage injection. I'm taking DHEA, CoQ10 and prenatal vitamins. That's it for right now.
@rachlee2010 did your doctor put you on two weeks of birth control for the cysts? I wound up getting two last month and they put me on birth control for two weeks and then follow up my cysts were gone.

In 2015 I was 35...Found out I had only one working ovary, which was DOR, with scar tissue and I ovulated at 7 days, with a small cervix opening and a tilted uterus... Needing an RE was a must.....IUI#1 Sept 2015,,, BFN IUI#2 Oct 2015,,,BFN IUI#3 Dec 2015,,BFN IVF#1 2/1/16- BFN IVF# on 3/29/16 retrieval only - 1 healthy chromosome tested embryo. IVF#3 retrieval 4/23/16- 0 healthy embryos. IVF#4 retrieval 6/17/16- 1 healthy embryo.
