  • OOOOoo and I o'd on CD25 not 23 like FF says
  • @FerdieFox - that totally makes sense!  I definitely debated whether or not to test last week when I was at my parents' house, but I ultimately decided I'd be less grumpy testing and getting the BFN than if I was stressed wondering what it was.  Just a personal preference there though.  The continual BFNs from testing early get to me a little (especially at this point when I'm like, "then just get on with it already, AF!"), but I like the data more.  <3 having lots of data.

  • @JournoGrl23 - I have had way more jury duty than anyone else I know who is my age (and some who are much older than me!)  I've served on a jury, and been called in two other times, once almost getting placed on another jury, but the defendant reached a plea deal right before the trial started.  I got selected one other time, but it was a local (not state) court, and I'd moved out of that county, so it didn't count.  I just checked the date, and it is this Thursday!  I'm torn about it.  I actually found it really interesting to be on a jury the one time, but it was a domestic violence case (that sounded bad but had zero evidence and the victim wasn't cooperating).  So it was also depressing.  I'd be cool with sitting on another jury, but I don't want it to mess up my holiday travel!

  • @Katm89   How do you know you O'd on CD 25 instead of 23? It could be right, but I'm curious what exactly is making you say that. In regards to the temp drop, has it gotten colder in your house? That could be affecting it. It is also possible you didn't actually O yet. I would HIO just in case.
  • @bcooke314 and @mali0902 - I'm intrigued by it too, though I think theoretically it's one pair per day... so you wouldn't need to carry extra around.  My big thing is that my heavy days are really heavy, so yeah, I think I'd need more than one pair on those days.  Also, I really don't like blood.  Obviously, I'm used to AF and you're supposed to rinse them when you take them off, but I think it would still eek me out in the long run!

  • @Katm89 - same question as @bcooke314 .  Also, I'm assuming missing temps because of holiday travel, etc?  I don't think there's much you can do other than HIO JIC and wait to see what the next few temps do.

@bcooke314 I know right? All those days of EWCM after O was really strange. It's the first time I've ever had that happen and I wasn't sure what to make of it. Normally I get creamy CM the day after O and it stays that way till AF arrives. I'd agree that the latest I could have ovulated is CD14 or 15. It appears the FF friend interpretation hinges on 2 things: 1.) that I don't discard the temps from the MC process (those really high ones at the start of the chart) and 2.) that I'm very sure the OPK was CD12 was positive. Which I'm not 100% sure it was. But it was definitely as close as it ever got to positive at least.

Also, thank you for the chart stalk. :)

  • @Bcooke314 and @MrsDho11 I know I didn't ovulate on CD23 because I took 2 opks the day before as we went out of town that weekend. I thought maybe I o'd when my temp went up but when it went back down I knew I hadn't yet. My natural coverline for the past 5 months has been 97.5... during my TWW I NEVER go below that number... to go down to 96.1 and I double checked and temped again and it was still low... very odd. I'm pretty sure I have ovulated because I got ovulation pains and my nipples were razer blades and sore as all hell... also I got heartburn. I missed temps in my TWW because of the holidays and the cat waking me up at 4:30am... when I temp at 6am..

  • @Katm89 - sorry it's being frustrating and confusing for you!  Out of curiosity, have you ever turned an OPK positive before?  If not (which I'm guessing because this is cycle one for you, right?), I'd say not to count out O from negative OPKs as they don't work for everyone.  Either way your timing looks good, so FX for you and today's temp just being one of those freak things!

  • @MrsDho11 This my fifth month charting... every month before this one I have turned an opk positive... and I ran 5 miles the day before CD23 so I think my temp raised a bit from that.
  • @Katm89 - oops!  Sorry!  Sounds plausible to me... as does the CD 25 O date.  I was just trying to figure out the questioning.  FX that it is just a wonky temp!

  • @MrsDho11 is it possible its an implantation dip?! or is it too low for that?
  • @MrsDho11 That's a lot of jury duty! You've served more than anyone I know as well. The one I was on today also reached a plea deal so I ended up not having to do anything. I was relieved about that because it was a rape case. I could have handled sitting in that jury, but I also feel like it could have gotten upsetting. I hope you're not chosen to sit on one so your holiday travel isn't interrupted! If I had been chosen for one of the trials, then I would have missed a doctor's appointment and a lot of work at a time when we're short staffed. So I definitely understand this messing up the whole week!
  • @Katm89 - That's not really a game I like to play, and I'd encourage you not to do so either.  FF has some reading on the topic if you're unable to help yourself, but I really don't want to give false hope or anything.

    Month/Cycle: 4/3

    CD/DPO: 19 / 1

Timing:  We'll see. My chart was a mess because of middle of the night dog drama, and forgetting to temp on Thanksgiving - Also, said dog drama prevented us from having sex. There is some hope ... but yeah, we didn't nail the timing by any means.

Testing:  I'll try to wait until I am late because I think our timing sucked this month.

R/R/CS: Dog is determined to act as birth control. I knew based on my previous few months O was likely coming sometime between Thursday and Sunday. Thursday she tore our one of her claws doing who knows, requiring a middle of the night doggie ER trip, THEN she took me out at the knees the next day in pure excite dog. Well - only partly her fault, my husband told her to "get mommy!" as soon as I walked in the door. (And, at least she was feeling better.) I fell and sprained my wrist badly enough it has a huge lump and a brace. Needless to say, not much happened in the bedroom over the course of all of this.

GTKY: Do you have a theme picked out for future little one's nursery?  Apples! We have two big apple trees in our yard, and we got married under an apple tree. Plus, they are bright, and gender neutral.

    Also. D'awwww.

  • @Allisun85 - oh my goodness, that is quite the doggy drama!

    R/R/CS: None today.

GTKY: Do you have a theme picked out for future little one's nursery?

I haven't thought that far ahead yet. After losses, I probably won't even be buying any baby things until well into a pregnancy. Trying to make a baby is stressful enough sometimes let alone interior decorating lol.

I would check on FF to see if the time is entered correctly. If you temped at 6:30, but didn't actually enter it on FF until later, you may have forgotten to change the time. I have done that a few times (until I realized you can set a default, which has been super nice)

    ***Chart Stalk Please!***

    Month/Cycle: 12/9

    CD/DPO: 26/10

Timing: EOD typically but DH worked an opposite schedule from me right before when FF says I ovulated (see below) so we missed that time. Then we took a few days off thinking he would get his SA done today.

Testing: Wednesday or Thursday if AF doesn't show up by then.

R/R/CS: We had our first RE appointment this morning and I just felt very rushed. He wanted to start clomid today but first wanted to do an ultrasound. He thought I might not always be ovulating because he thinks I exercise too much (3x a week). So he was expecting my uterine lining to be really thin, which would mean clomid wouldn't be a good option. Well, it was actually "nice and thick" as he said and said clomid would likely be successful for me. But then, he also saw an egg! So he said I did in fact ovulate. So, he sent me for blood tests, ordered DH a SA and told me to wait and see if I either get a BFP or AF within the next 2 weeks. So we didn't really get any answers but I do feel more hopeful now!

GTKY: Do you have a theme picked out for future little one's nursery? For a boy we plan on doing an airplane theme but we're not really sure about a theme for a girl!

So here's what I'm wondering...since the RE saw an egg today, wouldn't that mean that I ovulated only 12-24 hours ago? I don't see how that's possible looking at my chart? I'm not an expert on charting so I'm hoping someone could give me some insight. I've done it off and on for the past year and have really only been consistent about it the last month and a half.

  • @MrsDho11 I have to admit I was being a baby about it too! Mostly because I didn't want to wake up so early after just getting off work. But I'm glad I got to experience it too because I've always been curious about it.

Yes, that works.  I have no idea about your chart + what your RE said though.  It sounds like maybe you didn't agree with or like the RE the most?  Is there another RE in the area that you could get a second opinion from?  Or maybe I should just shut my mouth and let someone with more RE experience talk now... I'll do that!

The RE was okay, just not very personable and seemed to kind of rushed us along. But maybe I had unrealistic expectations. But this is seriously the only office with REs within 60+ miles of me so I don't have much of an option. Sorry that I was unclear! :) Thank you for taking a look at my chart!

  • Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD/DPO: 31/10

    Timing: -2

    Testing: Meh.  I'm good.

R/R/CS: So today was my second temp in a row below the cover line.  If I put an equally low one in for tomorrow, my CH go away.  Because of this, I'm suspecting this is an annov cycle, even though FF says I ovulated.  I have no symptoms at all, except I have cramps today.  My temps are completely messed up this whole cycle, and I'm just not doing that much that would affect them.  If I ovulated, I should get AF in about 3 days.  If not, I guess this could go on for a while. :/

GTKY: Do you have a theme picked out for future little one's nursery? I've always wanted to do an owl theme, but truthfully I probably won't do a theme at all.

  • @lalalorelai thank you for posting the FF info!! I just bought a membership.

@MrsDho11 how strange!  I just double-checked my data and everything looks normal.  The only time I've had an open circle before was when I accidentally entered a PM time instead of an AM, but that corrected when I fixed the entry.

@bcooke314 thank you for the chart stalk and the suggestions.  I did check the time entry right away when I noticed the open circle.  I have definitely been known to make a bleary-eyed mistake first thing in the morning, but that didn't happen today.  I've been curious about the default time.  Can you override the default?  I would like to be able to adjust if I happened to temp at a different time, but I do like the idea of not having to set the time most days.

@beary35 I hope you feel better soon!  Also, I love the chevron idea.
