So, story time, we had planned to do a cupcake reveal with the grandparents on Saturday. Called my office Friday to check if Verifi results were in, the call lasted 43 secs. The nurse said "Everything came back negative for all risks and you're having a boy" and that was it. I was in shock because I didn't get a chance to say I didn't want to know what I was having yet, so I had to call my husband to tell him and he was so excited but I'm not even mad because I'm just glad he is a healthy baby BOY!
So jealous you all know already!! How exciting. I won't find out until 12/29 (20 weeks) but DH and I want to have the tech write it down and we will Open it on NYE. Congrats mamas! And so happy to see so many HEALTHY babies too
It's a GIRL!!! I was so hoping for a girl, but had a feeling it was a boy all along. All the old wives' predictors came up boy. But I was wrong! And I'm so, so excited! All chromosomes normal too, baby girl is perfect. She's our little ninja princess.
We're having a healthy baby GIRL!! I'm still so surprised and delighted! I thought for sure it was a boy, so much for mother's intuition. We are so so so excited! She'll have 5 boy cousins to look up to. Yay!
At the NT she guessed boy, based on the angle of the phallus. I've never heard of that as a sex determination, has anyone heard of that? Not telling family and friends until we confirm at the anatomy scan.
Got our Progenity results today (just 5 days to results) - our identical twins are GIRLS! No chromosomal abnormalities either, which of course is far more important. I'm at 11 weeks today.
We were going to be team green until the huge shock about having twins. Knowing we'd have to buy 2 of everything, we decided to find out and being high risk with twins we wanted to be prepared in the event of any trisomy.
DH and I crazy excited about our little ladies, but he says he still wants a boy later . We'll see about that...
This is a total hijack (sorry) but I will probably find out at the anatomy scan in 5 weeks, and I do not care if it's a boy or a girl.
Sort of.
My SIL just graduated from a prestigious college with a fancy degree and (like most recent college grads) is currently making a living doing something less "exciting" than she had hoped for immediately after graduation (i.e. she thought she'd be working in international relations and is, instead, nannying and teaching yoga). In any event, she is dealing with her cognitive dissonance by becoming this uber MotherEarthGoddess, and not only insists on talking directly to my baby (as if I'm a goddamn incubator) but on calling him by the wrong name (because not only does she "know" it's going to be a boy, but also that he won't like the name we've chosen and will go by the one she's calling him).
Every time I see her smug smile and knowing nod I can't help hoping it's a girl just so she won't have been right. Of course, if it's a not boy she'll just insist that she's transgender, because her "intuition about children is never wrong." Ugh. It is literally all I can do not to smack her sometimes. /rant over
We wait until birth to find out. Surely we aren't the only team greens here?!
Team green here. I am living vicariously through the people on this board since the suspense of not finding out is torture! We got our harmony results back this week and after the nurse told us everything was normal I had to cut her off before she made the big reveal. I don't think I've ever had so much self-control in my entire life. May can't come soon enough!!
@dshannah I say smack away. But I have a sister in law who sounds like a slightly tamer version of your sis, and I haven't had the nerve to smack her either.
I had the panorama blood testing done! Found out Friday low risk for abnormalities ! (Yay!) And baby is a GIRL!!!! So excited I had a baby boy this past May so yay! One of each now !!!!
Found out we are having another boy which makes two boys. This is our last one and I won't lie I'm really bummed about it, but he seems healthy so far and we are very grateful for that.
Had an elective ultrasound earlier in the week and we're having baby girl #2. My daughter is 8 years old and has said from day one she's having a sister. We're done after this. A boy would have been nice, but we know girl. Excited for girl #2!
@yogahh That's going to be an awesome NYE for you! The date for us is close to yours. We won't find out until 12/23...so we'll get it sealed in an envelope and find out Xmas Eve.
Just found out today we are having a healthy baby girl! I had no intuitive guess but now that I know it's a little girl I'm so excited! Grandmas are over the moon too... I'm a little nervous she'll be super spoiled since my husband is one of two boys and his parents both are divorced and remarried, so she has 3 sets of grandparents... watch out!
We're having a boy! So exciting! We would've been happy with either sex, but it's definitely nice to know so we can stop referring to him as "it" haha!
We found out Saturday we are having a baby girl!!!!!! This has me over the moon with excitement. I would have been happy with either but I am really thrilled as my SO already has two boys!
At 15 weeks it was "pretty sure that's a boy," and at 18 weeks it's "that could be a girl, but the cord and foot are in the way, so I can't say for sure." So, it's a baby, that is perfectly healthy, which is all I really want.
This is a total hijack (sorry) but I will probably find out at the anatomy scan in 5 weeks, and I do not care if it's a boy or a girl.

dshannah I feel your pain! MIL is 100% certain it's a girl and keeps calling the baby her and girl names. I don't know why it irks me so much I hope it's a boy!
Found out today we're having a baby GIRL!!!!! I REALLY wanted a boy initially, but I'm so excited and grateful for this blessing. Now I can hardly wait to meet her. Congrats to all you mommies having Princes & Princesses((:
