Can someone point me to where "not blowing smoke up one's ass and telling you the truth to keep you grounded in reality" is the definition of bullying instead of being honest or tough love? Apparently I have been doing it wrong all this time!
All I did was say what people told me in private messages when I had first joined. I am not accusing anyone of being a bully.
People on this page are REALLY good at twisting words and "reading between the lines."
***QBF*** Clarification: I was referring to the silent lurkers who seem to like to do this a lot (PM people who get flamed and call us mean girls and such). Wasn't meaning to direct it at you.
I've been here for awhile and there are no bullies here. There are ladies who won't lie to you and who will tell you the facts as they are. None of that equates bullying. It really does a disservice to society when we call behavior we don't like or agree with bullying. It isnt.
I'm just saying what people told me via private messages. At the time, I had only been here for a week or two.
For the record, telling me that I'm an AW is not a nice thing to do, especially when I've only created 5 posts in the last 2 months (on this board). I wouldn't go so far as to call it bullying, but it definitely isn't nice. Lots of people post original questions/posts/etc. and the fact that I've posted a few doesn't make me an attention wh0**. If anything, I just wanted to get to know everyone and ask an original question, or share interesting information with people I thought might enjoy/see value in it.
Do I regret telling people how often my DH and I sleep together? Absolutely. Do I regret not putting a disclaimer on THIS post saying that this is just a fun link and not at all a post questioning the intelligence of anyone in this group? Yeah, I do. I'm not used to having to explain myself so much, or having to consistently remind people that telling them who/what/how I am is not "bragging".

My comment was to anyone reading who may or may not have messaged you privately, that's why I didn't quote anyone, it's a general statement meant for all.
OP, the point to this post was clearly to encourage earlier testing/symptom spotting/false hope. Not only that, you implied that the majority of this group not only doesn't understand how a HPT works, but that we are giving false information to newbs and drive-bys. Please explain why you thought that would go over well with the community.
I just read this entire thread in one sitting and what I learned was to remember to write "at this time" after writing "got a BFN? then no, not pregnant"
Thank you! I'm going to check out this page. We've been TTC for YEARS but I'm ridiculously regular, like a clock, even when on a diet or in a stressful situation or couple of months, etc. My cycle never wavers more than 1-2 days (and that is rare). So, here I am, first time my entire life with a period that is 4+days later. My urine tests so far have been negative. I'm going to get a blood drawn over the weekend or early next week if AF still hasn't shown.
It's so frustrating. I just want to know if I can celebrate or cry tbh.

I don't like the site's stats. The numbers are calculated by "All results are based on pregnancy test results submitted by our members." Which means that it isn't scientific, just user reported. I would hazard a guess that a fair amount of people are wrong about their O date.
Yeah, but isn't that what all of our O dates are? Just an estimate? Nobody can know with 100% certainty. I dunno, I thought it was interesting information, even if it is self-reported.

I don't know why, but I just read this entire thread. I'm not going to touch on the MUD portion, but I just wanted to say that I think this is kind of flawed logic. Yeah, I guess we are all just "estimating", because we aren't having ultrasound to confirm O, but the average user here is charting one or more factors to get a pretty darn good idea of O. On the other site, I would venture to guess most people are truly just guessing based on calendar date or who knows what.
ETA: I'm not saying it's not interesting to see the stats, I have looked at them myself before to get an idea of what others experience with testing. Just saying I don't think it's that reliable. I think a better idea for people who are asking when to test is to suggest going by FF's recommended test date.

I participate over on the other site some (sorry guys I'm cheating on y'all with another forum) and I can confirm there is a ridiculous, mind-boggling amount of people doing the whole "guys! I'm totally late and probably pregnant! Tell me how pregnant I totally am! What? Of course I don't temp, OPKs, check cm/cp or anything like that. I do have a vague idea of how long my periods usually last from memory and sometimes I even use a calendar so I know I'm 100% 19DPO right now."
On an unrelated note, if you want to stop the drama OP next time this happens and someone is like "side-eye your post sounds kinnndaaa rude" just quickly respond with a simple "Sorry! I see how it could come across that way. My bad! <funny gif here>" and it will probably go a lot better for you.

This thread has been incredibly informative to me in my struggle to overcome insomnia. For example, I found all of the following points very salient...wait...excuse me, "Zzzzzzzzzz..." x_x
This post got so out of hand. Sorry, all. I really didn't mean for that to happen, and really was just sharing a link to some semi-interesting member-submitted info from another site.
I'll stop starting new topics for a while as I clearly can't start a conversation in this board without starting drama.
