Re: TUESDAY SYMPTOMS

  • How far along are you? 9+3

How are you feeling? I'm still super tired and I've been getting pounding headaches recently. MS has let up a lot although I was sick yesterday morning

Rants/Raves? Too tired to rant :(

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? This is going to make me sound lazy but I love watching TV by myself lol. I love girly shows and cop shows and DH hates them so when he's gone I major binge!!!

  • @MrsB8214 I'm with you on the headaches. Lately I've been getting them every morning.

@DeePaddy24 Hope you feel better soon. And yay for the news on your midwife!

How far along are you? 11+3

How are you feeling? Tired, moody, sore nipples, bloated, headaches. Just blah.

Rants/Raves? Just really happy it's a short work week, and ready to see and spend some time with our families for Thanksgiving.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? House projects, movie marathons, working out.

  •  ***QUESTION BELOW***

How far along are you? 11+ 3

How are you feeling?  I actually feel totally fine. Besides for being a little tired I have no symptoms this week, besides for a little lower- abdomen soreness here and there. Bloating is much less as well.  My question is, is that normal? Should I be concerned that I wake up feeling totally normal? Is that crazy?

Rants/Raves? t-6 days until we get to see baby again! NT test and 12 week unltrasound is on Monday. I am incredibly anxious and SO ready.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? watch TV, go on walks, and I like supermarket shopping solo :-)

    How are you feeling?
Nausea is coming back just in time for Thanksgiving...wooo *sarcasm*

    Rants/Raves?
We're getting our heat fixed today! We had people here a week ago to check the heat system for the winter and they found a hole in the heat exchange which, if it got much bigger, would result in a carbon monoxide leak into the house. The part finally came in this morning and they're coming in the next hour to install it.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself?
I'm a huge book worm so curling up somewhere comfy with a good book and just getting lost in it. So much easier to do if there's no one around to disturb you.
  • @lshamah I think that is completely normal as you get towards the end of your first trimester. I am also 11+3 and didn't have much for symptoms to begin with. The tiredness and bloating has stayed with me so far, but most of the time I feel pretty normal. I wouldn't worry too much :)
  • @Sgoldberg247 Tell the nausea to beat it. Doesn't it know that you have all this yummy food to eat? I hope you feel better in time for all the Thanksgiving feasts!
  • How far along are you? 10+3

How are you feeling? Lots of nighttime nausea, tired, bloated. I've been having a lot of vaginal pain and pressure... Going to see the MD @ 2:10. I'm anxious for this appointment.

Rants/Raves? Just nervous about all this pain, seriously hoping everything is okay.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? Shopping! But as @DeePaddy24 said, this can be veryyy dangerous.

How are you feeling? Dry heave attack the second I get up out of bed, 3 days running now. But hey, I'll deal.

Rants/Raves? You guys. I SLEPT last night. By "night" I mean I fell asleep on the couch at 830pm, DH woke me at 11 to come to bed, and I slept until 7. Who am I?!

Rant? Acne. Pizza-face, party of 1. Despite the acne, I can tell my skin is beginning to respond to the Belli Skincare acne system, which is good. So, hopefully it'll keep working on this acne nonsense.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself?

I'm with @Sgoldberg247. I love to curl up with a good book.

  • @crdo Yay for sleep! Also, I may have to look into the Belli Skincare line. I've heard good things about it, but haven't ordered anything.

I switched to all Belli because everything I used had salicylic acid in it. It's not quite as good on my pregnancy acne, but I really like it.

Thanks @crdo and @DeePaddy24.... I'm trying to relax until the appointment! They fit me in earlier so I called out of work today so that's one positive :)

I should probably do this. I occasionally use a Neutrogena face wash/scrub that has salicylic acid in it for days when I feel like a pizza face. Anyone have a recommendation on which Belli products to order? Or maybe it comes in a set?

Same, I'm noticing my salicylic acid products worked faster than Belli, but I'm still seeing some improvement. Are you finding your skin to still be dry after using their moisturizer, @laurenm2123? Also, that's great you're getting to see the doc sooner than expected! Let us know how it goes.

I bought the Belli Pre-treatment Scrub (or whatever the scrub is called), Acne Wash, and moisturizer in a set. It wound up being the cheapest option.

  • @DeePaddy24 yay for getting in with your midwife!

@lshamah totally normal! Symptoms usually peak, then subside as you get closer to second tri.

@Sgoldberg247 glad your heat is getting fixed!

@laurenm2123 I hope everything goes well at your appt!

    Hope everyone starts feeling better!

Rants/Raves? DH took the early workout time today, so I'm stuck with going during peak hours. We're driving into ATL now to pick up his race bib for Thursday. Fingers crossed for no traffic...

I looked up the acne specific stuff on the website- I have the acne wash, pre-treatment scrub, the acne moisturizer and the spot treatment. I got a discount and free shipping when I ordered, look around for any promos!

@DeePaddy24 So happy for you getting your midwife!

For those with skin issues - have you ever tried apple cider vinegar? It helped reduce the redness of the acne I was getting and my face is starting to clear up now.

    How are you feeling?
    bloaty, tired

    Rants/Raves?
I woke up to a freezing house so turned on the heat. DH woke up and turned it off grumbling about how it will make the grout in the bathroom dry out (he's remodeling it and just grouted yesterday). I, very maturely, mumbled sarcastically "Well, that's way more important than me getting hypothermia." That was an hour ago and I'm still pissed off. My rational brain is telling me to stop being a stupid dramaqueen, but the pregnancy hormones sometimes win.

How are you feeling? SO tired. Occasional heartburn and nausea but it's getting better. Sore nips and major bloat continue but I feel like I'm more tired lately. I fell asleep on the sofa at 8:30 last night. I did have a burst of energy to make dinner which was delicious. And now I have delicious leftovers for lunch!

Rants/Raves? Just ready to get some energy back and to be at 12 weeks already. Not that we are telling anyone at that point, but I will feel better about everything once I hit 12 weeks. Happy it's a short work week and hoping to get a 2-hour early dismissal tomorrow!

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? Watch tv or read/play sudoku on my Kindle. Usually DH plays a computer game in the evening so I get the tv to myself a lot. It works out. Although I usually fall asleep pretty quick if it's evening. I like watching real life medical trauma shows for some reason and also bridal shows still.

@BakerBird525: Thanks! I lIke the medical trauma shows, too! A+ for cooking.
  • How far along are you? 12+5 (almost into trimester 2!)

How are you feeling? Massive headaches daily, heartburn later on in the day, awful nausea this morning. I thought this was supposed to get better! (I know, I know, it can last...)

Rants/Raves? Short week but get paid for a full week! I'm going to make chocolate chip cookies later.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? Bath time! Binge watch. Shop.
  • How far along are you? 13 weeks

How are you feeling? I've been in the clear for nausea for awhile, but now I'm getting hit HARD with acne, bacne, and bloody noses (?!). So even though I feel fine, I also feel repulsed by myself. I might have to try that belli skincare stuff too!

Rants/Raves? My mom has this need to control everything around her. unfortunately we are now the only ones who live nearby, so all that attention falls on us. It wouldn't be as bad if she was direct about it, but she is extremely passive aggressive. My family is super non confrontational, so even if I was careful in how I told her to stop, she would still end up very hurt and upset because everyone has just let it happen for so long. Before I was pregnant I was able to just shake it off, but now I can barely handle it when she is over. I'm going to have to just suck it up and talk to her soon.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? Sleep!!! I have a night owl husband and an early bird toddler so I'm tired af all the time, even before I was pregnant.
  • *********QUESTION  BELOW*************

How far along are you? 10w6d

How are you feeling? Not AS bad as I was before but clearly not out of the woods yet. Still get nauseous (threw up again on Sunday), so fucking tired, all the other symptoms still. Had a horrific headache on Saturday night.

My Question: Today I've been having shortness of breath. Anyone else experiencing this? I've heard it can happen but I thought it would come later.

Rants/Raves? My DH's Aunt won't stop asking my MIL if I'm pregnant. I love her but doesn't she realize that if she doesn't know yet it's because I'm either not or I don't want her to know yet. And it puts my MIL in a shitty position to either have to lie to her or tell her when I don't want her to. It's unfair. I'm planning on telling her and the majority of the rest of his family on Thanksgiving... she's just needs to calm down and wait for me to tell her.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? I haven't done this in a long time but I love taking myself out to dinner and a movie. My DH isn't big on going to movies so I barely go anymore. Maybe I should take myself out on a date soon.

  • @joose159 I have noticed some shortness of breath every now and then as well. It usually comes when with physical activity. I've been trying to take the stairs instead of the elevator in my office building, and after the 3rd flight I'm practically gulping for air. I never had this problem before, so I'm chalking it up to my body just being tired and using all my energy to grow this tiny human lol
  • Thanks @mrsschmity - I have noticed when going up stairs more often but today it's been while I've just been sitting at my desk. It's been strange.
  • @joose159 Hmmm, if it's happening while you're at rest, it may be worthwhile to bring it up to your doctor at your next appt?
  • yeah. I'll email her if it persists for sure. just been a strange sensation today.
  • @crdo Yes, I use it as a toner. I just put it on a cotton ball and wipe it over my face. If your skin is particularly sensitive I'd recommend diluting it 50/50 with water at first. Also, the smell's pretty strong - even w/o being pregnant - so I sometimes have to rinse my face after a couple minutes. (DH calls me 'foot face' whenever he gets a whiff. lol)

Interesting, good to know! Thanks for the info. "Foot face", haha--sounds like something my DH would say, too!
  • @joose159 I've got the shortness of breath too. I asked my doctor last week and she said it's perfectly normal. I get short of breath mainly taking a shower. I don't think the steam helps. Also while putting make up on and next thing you know I have to sit down because I feel winded. I was concerned I was getting asthma but doc said she isn't worried. DH has an inhaler in case something were to ever be seriously wrong, but I have no clue if I could use it while pregnant.
  • So I don't feel like doing the full on thread. Mainly because I'm busy at work and being lazy

How much CM is too much CM? I swear I'm like a leaking faucet down there. Ugh. It's driving me insane. I've read that an increase in discharge is normal but what the hell is all this needed for?

  • @KOR121 - interesting. If it keeps happening I'll definitely talk to my doctor about it. Hope yours stays manageable!

How are you feeling? like a blimp. I feel like a need to have an hour long fart.

Rants/Raves? I think my blump is actually starting to show to the point where it may be difficult to hide for much longer. I'm nice n' fluffy in my midsection already (thank you 2 previous 10lb children....and big macs) so it's been easier to hide, but that time is coming to an end shortly. yay!

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? lol. uhhhhh. can I be accompanied by a handheld battery-powered device in this scenario?

Ditto to pretty much everything you said here.
  • @KOR121 Pretty sure you and I are both 11+3, if I remember correctly. I am noticing the same thing with the CM. I brought it up at my last appt. She said it was normal, but she also checked for a yeast infection during my exam just to rule it out. As long as it's not painful or causing irritation, I think you're probably good!

I agree that it's a pain in the ass, but apparently it helps to keep out infection and other irritation that might eff up your lady bits :)

How are you feeling?  I feel so crappy.  I'm so sick of this...

Rants/Raves? I just want to feel normal again.

Glad I'm not alone, although I think I'm a few weeks behind you so who knows. The discharge is to keep any infections from forming which is great and all but man do I want it to quit it already. Panty liners are my new bff.
