  • @laurenm2123. YAY! That's so great :)
  • Glad to hear all is well @laurenm2123!
  • How far along are you? 10w 2d

How are you feeling? I'm ok. Nausea and food aversions are easing up a bit. But afraid to come off of Diclectin because last time I tried to just lower my dose I was violently ill for a few days afterwards. Still exhausted in the extreme.

Rants/Raves? Had my first midwife appointment today which was nice! She was asking me all the standard intake questions, one of which was "how long were you in active labour with your first?" and as I was trying to work it out she found the OB's report from my first and said "oh, 19 and 3/4 hours!" which I suppose is correct but jesus christ, it's still hard to believe even now, haha. She promised it would not be that long this time. She couldn't find the fetal heartbeat which she wasn't terribly concerned about as it's so early on and my uterus is still very much in my pelvis, but she offered to have me in after 2 weeks rather than 4 so that she could check again and put my mind at ease, so hopefully all is well. Trying to be as calm as she is :)

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? Going for a walk to the fancy coffee place about a 15 minute walk away, getting myself a little treat, relaxing there for a bit, walking home. I spend a lot of time alone in my house (I work from home, DH goes to work, DD goes to dayhome) but it's not very fun or relaxing because I have to work. But I do enjoy my little breaks.

GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? lol. uhhhhh. can I be accompanied by a handheld battery-powered device in this scenario?
Lol I'm glad I'm not the only one whose brain immediately went there
  • @mrsschmitty same with the stairs, I live in NYC so I take the subway to work and just coming above ground makes me feel like I walked up 16 flights.

@joose159 boy do I hear that rant! My sister, SIL, an grandmonther have all been chatting and theorizing, and asking my mom incessantly. Mom even told me that my sister was planning ASKING me which I told her was so rude and inappropriate! It's taking away from my excitement to tell them!! I have a cute idea for telling my siblings and siblings in laws --- don't they know they are ruining my fun???
  • @lshamah same thing going on with me! My SIL called my MIL to ask her if we were pregnant on Saturday, I'm waiting till Thanksgiving to tell her (thankfully my MIL denied it) but if I wanted you to know, you'd know!!! I definitely feel the same annoyance that she's trying to trump our surprise news to the family

  • @Ishamah - seriously! It really takes the fun out of it!

How far aong are you? 9 weeks 3 days

    How are you feeling? Blah

Rants/Raves? I am still feeling nauseous and having a lot of headaches. I had a nurse visit and they suggested I start taking B6 to help with the nausea so I think I will try that.

GTKY What is your favorite thing to do by yourself? Watch TV or read. My husband doesn't like a lot of the shows I like so I have to watch them by myself. I also really enjoy reading a good mystery or suspense novel.
