Nearing week 20, and now my nausea is back!?? I'm having a boy, never had this with my daughter, and had serious issues with all day nausea and exhaustion in the first trimester. Anyone else have it return with a vengeance? Anything I eat, anytime of day, and some awesome heartburn to accompany it.
@MegJerKlemz no my nausea hasn't come back *fingers crossed it stays away* but I know that sometimes heartburn can be a trigger for nausea. Are you doing anything to relieve the heartburn?
@MegJerKlemz I'm 20+4 weeks, and sometimes I feel nauseas again. It's not nearly as bad as the constant nausea I had from 7.5-14 weeks, only feel it for a little bit during some days, just occasionally, haven't actually gotten sick. It doesn't really bother me since it sucked so much in the beginning, send miniscule now.

I feel good now, but last time my nausea came back in third tri, towards the very end of my pregnancy. Not fun!

I had the same thing. Bled from week 14 to 17 and a few days. They finally found after 6 Dr's that I had a bacterial infection that was making my cervix super sensitive. After starting the antibiotics the bleeding has stopped. If you feel it's not normal push until they give you an answer. This is my first pregnancy as well and they kept saying nothing was wrong that maybe it was normal for me but my gut told me otherwise. Good luck and hope you find answers.
@jordanbara we haven't found out what our little one is yet but I have very strong boy feelings and boy dreams. I'm excited to find out and even more excited for when the fuzz disappears haha
When my baby moves it hurts also I can feel when baby kicks it's not a bubble or butterfly feeling that's for sure every ones saying I'm having a baby boy as I feel like the baby's beating me up.. Yes omg I'm so bloody hairy on my stomach and the back pain eughhh I went to work they sent me home because of my back pain started and I was sent home in a taxi to take rest
But it's all worth it in the end I don't mind what I get girl or boy I'll be happy that I made it and hopefully baby's healthy
I have quite a few new symptoms the past week. Holy pressure! Anyone else feel like the added weight is just going to make you fall apart? I got an intestinal virus the other day, and attributed it to that.. But then it continued. It's like the baby is already lying low and preparing for his descent! Ouch
@jordanbara I'm glad I'm not alone, as I thought it was much too soon to feel this much pressure. My mom freaked out when I told her and was trying to take me to the ER! I'm fairly certain this baby is entertained with finding uncomfortable and almost painful spots to snuggle into. It does hurt my crotch to stand up when I feel the pressure so I've been quite lazy, propping my feet up lately!
@MegJerKlemz hahaha that's hilarious. Yeah I called my mom when it first started and she said its normal. A lot of it is from increased blood flow down there I think!
Hi I'm new to the boards! This is my first pregnancy I'm 21 weeks and 4 days along. Here recently I have been experiencing urinary incontinence especially since I'm sneezing a lot and have even went and got the incontinence pads for light bladder leakage to try and help not sure what else to do. I have also been experiencing a lot of pressure like my baby boy is laying low it's very uncomfortable!
I posted this elsewhere but someone said I should post in the symptoms thread I'm 21 weeks in my 3rd pregnancy, and for the past week or so when I move from a stationary position (laying down, rolling over in bed, sitting still for awhile and then moving) I feel what seems to be my pelvic bone popping. Yup, POPPING! It hurts but then feels a little better once it's popped. And it's painful to move my legs when I'm sitting or laying, to cross them or rotate them. I've googled it and read about pregnancy related PGP (pelvic girdle pain) and SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction), relaxin softening the ligaments that connect the joints.
Anyways... I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? It's bothersome but not life altering, and I was curious about it. I'll mention it to my OB at the next appt I have.

I've been experiencing this in my right lower back (kind of by my tail bone). It feels like i need to crack my hip, but doing that doesn't seem to relieve the pressure. I spoke with my OB about this and she says it's the added pressure of the uterus and recommends long deep stretching. It seems to help when I lie on my back with my knees up, right leg crossed, and slowly bring my left knee in closer to my body. I suffered through it on a long walk with my pups this morning, and it seemed to get better as the walk went on. Hope this helps!
I apologize if someone has already discussed this. I searched the board, but didn't see anything.
Weird symptom...wondering if anyone else has experienced it, and if so, wondering what it is. My entire bottom/groin area has been sore the last few days. It reminds me of the discomfort I would feel after doing a cycling class. This feels different from the RLP I've been feeling throughout my pregnancy so far, as this is much further down and a different type of pain.
Is shoulder pain a symptom of pregnancy? I'm trying to figure out if it's normal or if I did something to my shoulders. It basically started second trimester. I'm going to start bicep curls to see if that helps or makes it worse.

@iwrkout85 Try Kegel exercises. They help prevent that.
Have any of you ladies been in the middle of intercourse with DH, fiancé, bf and experienced sharp pain in your lower abdomen if he goes too deep? Sorry tmi. It just happened to us and the pain was so intense we had to stop and I started to cry! It was bad. It went away after a few minutes but it still scared the crap out of me. Please tell me I'm not the only one!

DH and I have cut way back on sex compared to our normal, so each time we start it's a bit painful - but not like you described. Is it possible he hit your cervix? That's painful not pregnant so I imagine it's probably exaggerated during pregnancy with all the extra blood flow and sensitivity down there. Some positions are definitely worse than others, so I wouldn't let it deter you from sex unless you start bleeding - more than spotting. A little spotting is normal due to increased blood flow.

I wouldn't think shoulder pain specifically, but the hormones (specifically relaxin) are causing all of your ligaments to become more loose and pliant. I've always had hip and knee pain, but it has gotten much worse since becoming pregnant. You may have strained it doing something that normally wouldn't affect you.

He might've hit it im not sure. Definitely just really scary and worried us both! My abdominal area is still a little sore right now when I move a certain way so as you can imagine I'm worried. As long as there's no bleeding though I'm hoping it'll be okay. I'll call my midwife tomorrow!

You're not the only one! I don't like sex at all anymore, it hurts so badly. We do it now maybe once every 3-4 weeks
I just started drinking regular coffee again after 17 weeks of not having any. Big no no for me, it makes me super light headed and I feel like I'm going to faint. Needless to say decaf will do just fine. Anyone else notice caffeine affect you in a negative way?

It wasn't the pelvic bone but I had my jaw pop out twice. It reminded me of when my mom's jaw and arm would pop out when I was younger. Told my mom and she said "just pop it in by hitting it back into place and you'll be fine" and I was. Felt super weird and uncomfortable till it went back into place!

I didn't quit caffeine as trying caused migraines like you wouldn't believe, but in the past when I've had way more than usual - to pull an all nighter or something - it makes me sick. I've been sticking to half caf and sometimes just the taste/smell make me nauseous, so I set it aside until the nausea passes and finish drinking, otherwise I would be useless for the rest of the day.
@kimey1 my physical therapist sister is going to show me how to correctly pop my SI joints! I'm so excited!
I threw up for the first time last night, and it was pretty violent. I'm 19 weeks today and although I did have breakfast this morning, I do feel like I'm going to get sick again. Here I thought I was in the clear when it comes to morning sickness. As far as the Metamucil goes, I've yet to take it, but today that will change. I'm so over being constipated. And leg cramps, I'm going to be looking into a magnesium supplement and will be talking to my doctor what I should do and how much I should take. Other than that, whenever I drank powerade that seemed to help.
Have any of you mama's started taking an iron supplement for your fatigue caused by anemia? If so, has it helped? What mg are you taking? Is the iron making you feel nauseated like first tri?

I've been taking it for two days now and I already feel quite a difference. I take something called Niferax 100mg that my midwife prescribed me. I haven't had any problems with it so far, curious to see if I will get my energy levels back.

I'm going to ask to get my iron levels tested at my next appointment because I'm still very fatigued and rather lightheaded, which is normal for pregnancy but can be a sign of low iron. I'm also eating less protein than usual and I usually rode on the low side anyway. I am a bit nervous about the constipation, though

You should definitely get it checked. I postponed having mine checked because I was worried about the constipation as well, but so far it hasn't given me any trouble at all. I really regret not taking the iron supplements sooner.
Is it just me or has anyone else not been peeing so much lately? Especially during the night.
I wish I had that problem... I was getting up once maybe twice during the night, and now I'm up two to three times... During the day I can still usually plan on every hour.

I wish I did, too. I'm up at LEAST twice a night to pee. I keep telling myself it is good training for when we have to be up every few hours for feeding time!
I hope this doesn't irritate someone. I searched for an ultrasound thread that was appropriate and gave up. I thought, this board is where I usually find the most answers and it's definitely a worrisome symptom, to me at least! Yesterday I had the fetal anatomy scan. My son seems to be camera shy, or just super temparamental.. Anyhow, he showed us some parts but not others. The tech seemed aggravated with us and kept going "ugh oh my goddddd.." Like I could control my baby's movements?! She couldn't get a steady view of his feet or unclenched fists, or his face. He continuously sucked his fingers covering his mouth and is breech but with his legs folded like a pretzel. The doctor called today and said we have to get another one in three weeks. My concern is that he may have issues.. Seriously, I just started freaking about him wrapping the cord around his neck! I'm in serious panic mode. Anyone else ever experience this? And yes, highly anxious over here!

Uh, I would have strongly considered punching the tech in the face, and I'm in healthcare. DD is quite uncooperative -every single time - and her a/s took a long time but everything was normal. My tech was amazing and got all the measurements she needed because she was very patient, has been doing them for a long time, and grabbed the photos she needed as they happened. Lots of mamas here are getting additional scans, some because their babies were too active and some because they found something and need additional testing. Unless and until you're told specifically that something is wrong, I wouldn't worry.
As for the umbilical cord, I've never heard of this being an issue in utero. Also, so long as whoever delivers your son has had some sort of training, the umbilical cord being around his neck likely won't cause any issues. I'm only licensed as an EMT but I've been trained to deliver and know what to do (in theory, not in practice) if I should deliver a baby with the cord around the neck.

That tech sounds horrible. Our little boy was doing the same as yours. He kept his face covered and didn't want to show certain parts too well. Our tech took her time and got all the measurements she needed.
As the previous poster said I wouldn't worry unless they told you there was something to worry about. We were told about our baby's SUA immediately and that's why we need more frequent u/s but if the doctor didn't mention anything to you I wouldn't worry!

My son was born with his cord around his neck, and it was of course a little scary in the moment, but he was totally fine!
