Don't get me wrong, when it's time, I'll do the research and test out products we need. I'm just blown away by the prices on some of these products. It seems excessive. I've always been a less is more kind of girl though.
And hey, if you can actually afford a Prada diaper bag, then go for it.
It is the absurdly expensive baby item thread. I don't know what price range you thought you'd be seeing.
The baby jogger city select stroller as a double. It's just way out of our budget. I have to get a double but also know I can't afford that one
This is the stroller I have my eye on too. It's perfect because my 2 year old will still need a stroller at times (mall, walks, etc.) but I can turn it back to a single stroller when she gets too big. Amazon usually has it for cheaper, but right now Baby Jogger is offering the second seat for free.
I have one and it is so worth it. Just saw one for $450 today in a kids consignment shop with both seats, glider attachment for 3rd standing child, and trays for the seats-- great condition if anyone wants this and lives in Pittsburgh! I also see them all the time on craigslist.

Ugh jealous! I'd jump on that but AZ is a little far away. I'm still trying to decide between a few tandems and the mountain buggy duet. I can't find anything I like used in my area.

Well I'm a also bit shocked at some prices! My husband and I are in a position where we could probably easily afford any baby item on the market. But I still agree, often times, less is more!
Having said that, I ready told my husband what really expensive thing I want: To bank baby's cord blood.

I'm really interested in this too! I had completely forgotten about this so will definitely be revisiting this idea.
The stupid expensive thing I truly want and need is a running stroller. Amazon had an amazing deal on a BOB this weekend for 275.99, so I went for it! My first baby purchase was my most expensive item. Go figure.
I don't need as much this time as a STM and I know what I like more...a friend bought me a gorgeous Matt & Nat diaper bag this summer so that's taken care of. I know most baby $$$ for this little peanut will be:
gorgeous cloth diaper prints I didn't get with DS and wraps, wraps, wrap conversion ring sling, lenny lamb carrier and mayyyyybe another wrap
I also just got an awesome new winter coat that's normal, maternity AND babywearing coat and I'm in love!
So- while I haven't had kids recently, (my youngest is 13! - so I'll be honest and tell you in not up to speed on the newest gadgets...I have and continue to raise 3 kids. IMO, high chairs are a waste of space. Buy the chair that connects to your own dining/kitchen chair. They come with a tray and are portable- huge bonus! As they get older ditch the tray and use the seat and push them up to the table like the rest of the family.

Is it the black puffy coat from Motherhood Maternity? I had my mom buy that for me for Christmas... Can't wait for it!!
