@laurenm2123 I would but I'm spending too much time on this website . With black friday around the corner, I might have to consider making some purchases. It looks like I'll need to remortgage my house to afford half of what's being mentioned on this thread lol
@laurenm2123 - Unfortunately I think UppaBaby is one of their brand exclusions. I'm on their email list as well and every time I get a 20% off coupon I check to see what's excluded-- it's basically every brand that makes what I want- whomp whomp whomp. Sucks.
I must admit the husband has already been informed of my love for the Prada Nylon Diaper Bag ❤️ Couldn't be more unnecessary ha but somehow keeps me feeling like the "old me" when I know EVERYTHING is about to change.
@lavina2244 - that's on my "lust list" as well. I think I may go with the Anya Hindmarch one though... Also completely unecessary! But, I have a few other AH bags and accessories that I love and they are very durable (my mental reasoning).
I think the AH is about $900. Crazy, I know... If I could find a cool leather one for the $ I would do that instead. I feel like Nylon is going to wear out much more quickly.
I haven't looked recently, but I think Saks has the Prada for $1500ish???
Omg, some of these things are seriously over our entire combined "baby accessories" budget. Im so jealous of you ladies who can actually afford these (admittedly gorgeous) items! I thought I was being crazy for looking at an $80 baby carrier.
My daughter is just over two - and I bought her stroller new - but it's no longer my dream stroller. I'm trying to justify buying a new one - I guess I could angle that we need a double? Anyone eyeing any amazing doubles? I haven't begun to do my research!
@Sgoldberg247 mine all comes from negotiations because I let my husband go to Vegas for 4 nights on a boys trip.
I also happen to have a $400 Bloomingdales gift card so I may ask for a nice diaper bag for Christmas using that (instead of the gold clutch I wanted for myself seeing as I won't need one for going out anymore!)
@aiellomp@laurenm2123 yes, it's very hard to justify haha but from time to time you can find a used one in good condition on eBay for around $900 ...(& I told my rational brain that it would also make a beautiful travel carry on after I don't need it for the baby
I have been eyeing some really beautful cribs from restoration hardware baby, plus a moses basket. I know moses baskets are crazy maybe 150-200 with linen and all, but considering baby will only use for a few weeks or so, not really worth it.
Mamaroo rocker is what I've been eyeing. Just reading reviews and trying to decide if it's worth the money. I also like the bugaboo strollers! But I think the UPPAbaby vista is a better buy.
I'm now drooling over the Prada bag!!! Sigh... Also looking at this, and feel it's worth the $. Anyone heard of this or even have it? I'm a ftm and feel like this might help me sleep better. https://www.owletcare.com

This is my Tory Burch...I've had it for a year and still so obsessed. Best baby purchase ever. I justified it because it has basically become my purse.
Will definitely be splurging on the owlet and possibly a diaper bag. Haven't started looking yet. We'll be sticking to a budget for everything else since I'm planning on sah with this one (#2) and also because most of this stuff they will grow right out of so quickly.
This $700 babywearing wrap. I had to unfollow all the weavers I like on Facebook because they were making me crazy with pretty wraps I couldn't reasonably afford...but now with the new baby coming I feel like I can justify flipping my stash for some new ones?? But probably not this expensive, if I want to, y'know, not have my mortgage foreclosed on.
Wraps go for $700?! I had no idea they could get that expensive! (It is pretty though. )
I'm not going to lie, I had to google most of what was on this thread to figure out what it even was!! Where do you guys go to find all the coolest stuff?
We're looking at highchairs right now but I need to find one that my three massive dogs can't easily knock over lol
We have a Boon Flair high chair and it is weighted at the bottom and I doubt a dog could knock it over.

Hard to find, second-hand wraps routinely go for over $1000. It's crazy. But the high-end weavers typically do very limited editions and they are very hard to get new because they either get sold by random draw, auction, or are stocked in online stores and then sell out in seconds.
I had to stop following all of them on Facebook because I found I was never satisfied with what I had when I was constantly seeing the amazing stuff that's out there but soooo hard to get
If you like Kate Spade diaper bags, make sure you're on their email list. They do surprise sales every once in a while. Last time I got two diaper bags for less than the regular full price of one. (Which I actually kind of regret, since it has ended up basically facilitating my husband's total inability to take responsibility for anything that's in any diaper bag at any time. If you have an organizationally challenged spouse/partner, I recommend just one small diaper bag so they're forced to take used things out and put new things in instead of just leaving a random assortment of too much of everything in both bags at all times.)
Am I the only one reading this and thinking it's absolutely CRAZY?! FTM and teacher here and I plan to keep my bank account and savings intact. Let alone the fact that I'm only 10+3 along, so the idea of researching expensive strollers and diaper bags has not even crossed my mind. Maybe it's also that I work 50+ hours a week and the first trimester has left me utterly exhausted to the point that when I get home I just sleep. Time to research products hasn't even been on my radar.

I work full time and am in school full time... Coming home from work and zoning out on baby websites instead of going straight into homework gets me excited about baby/destresses me.
Plus I like to get an idea of how much things will cost. We started a baby specific savings account to be able to set aside money for all the things we need.

Research is key though. You don't want to be stuck with a stroller you hate. My suggestion is when you are feeling better, go to one of the bigger baby stores and test drive every one and even try folding it up. This goes for anything you will be using on a regular basis.
Don't get me wrong, when it's time, I'll do the research and test out products we need. I'm just blown away by the prices on some of these products. It seems excessive. I've always been a less is more kind of girl though.
And hey, if you can actually afford a Prada diaper bag, then go for it.

Better yet, try folding that stroller one handed and lift it 3 feet in the air!
Re: What absurdly expensive baby item are you lusting over?!
This is the stroller I have my eye on too. It's perfect because my 2 year old will still need a stroller at times (mall, walks, etc.) but I can turn it back to a single stroller when she gets too big. Amazon usually has it for cheaper, but right now Baby Jogger is offering the second seat for free. https://www.buybuybaby.com/store/product/baby-jogger-reg-city-select-reg-deluxe-single-stroller-in-charcoal/3249489?Keyword=City+select

Not yet-they have them at Target for as low as $350-$400. I'm hoping to luck out and find one secondhand.

@laurenm2123 I know! Seems pretty amazing to me!
Hello MamaRoo!!
Baby #2 Due 3/7/20
@MellBabyPeeps yup! Sent that to my mom last week. I think it's brilliant! (Reviews mention some operational drawbacks, but are overall outstanding!)
@KOR121 a lot of the posters aren't FTM. I'm soaking up their cool stuff knowledge too so I know where to look.
