I'm such an AW that I just dug this thread up from the grave to post our announcement pic. I'm 12 weeks on Friday and just couldn't hold it in any longer so I posted this tonight at 11+5 (immediate family knew. Close friends found out right before)
We haven't done ours yet but it will be something similar to this. I will probably announce after my next appointment since I wasn't far along enough to see the heartbeat last time.
These are so adoreable!! I can' t wait till December when we announce...still trying to figure out how still. We did just get DD's tshirt for when we let my family know. She was so excited to try it on and wanted to wear it to school today. It melts my heart how happy she is Edited because the photo was HUGE!
I am lost on what we are going to do. My son, from previous marriage, will be 10 four days before this one is due. I cannot figure out how to handle this.
We are going to announce on Dec 3rd, after we get to hear the heartbeat, we'll be 13 weeks, then I'll put a little note in the baby stocking and write "Delivery expected June 2016"
We aren't posting online until mid December but we took our pictures this weekend as it was nice out and we wanted to capitalize on the warm day! Plus we had our Christmas cards made with these pics & they are already ordered! I feel silly not wanting to post here "just in case" but on the outside chance anyone from my real life is on here I don't want to give away our faces until our news is public
this seems like the thread to use to ask opinions. So my husband and I are pretty athletic and are mostly known to our friends as the 'athletic ones'. so i was thinking of having us in Jerseys with our last name on our backs (including our furbaby) and a onesie with our last name on it with the words "Family Tryouts June 2016"
does that makes sense? or do you think tryouts won't convey that we are having a baby?

I think that is a really cute idea! If you're on the fence about your tag line you could also do something like "June 2016- IT's going to be a whole new ball game"
@tan&web Instead of saying "try outs" maybe could could say something like "new teammate added" or "recruiting new player" "adding teammate to our roster" I think people would get it either way but changing the wording I think would make it more obvious... Just a thought from the peanut gallory! Good luck!
DH really wants to get a Rudolph nose and antlers and put them on my stomach for our announcement. He's really excited about the idea. I don't think I'll be round enough so I'm trying to figure out how to make it work for him.
We made up small scrap bookish pages and gave them to our close family members. After I'm 12 weeks we'll post the pic on social media.
@GBabyMom - my son from a previous relationship will be 1 month shy of 12 when this one is born so I understand how you're feeling! We will be starting all over! I was a little worried my son would be less than thrilled, but luckily he was really excited! Haha
Our ideal announcement would include a Star Wars onesie but we haven't found one yet. We were just in Savannah, GA for vacation though so we took a backup announcement photo!
Also: hubs was teasing that now we need to name the baby Savannah. Lol
We are going to be taking pictures of dd having a milk and cookies party with Santa ina couple of weeks. His elf will be holding her Christmas list which will include "become a big sister". I can't wait to take the pics and will post as soon as I have them. Edit because words are hard
January Siggy Challenge: Why I don't shop at Walmart
I was planning on having my boys each hold a sign "big brother" "little brother" with little crossed out and big written above it then a third sign saying baby #3 due June 2016. But I might wait until we know the gender and say baby girl or baby boy.

We found a Star Wars onesie for DS at Buy Buy Baby. Or are you searching for a specific one?

This baby was a very big surprise, and that quote just speaks to me.

@theatremandy can you send me a link to the onesie? I can't find it on buy buy baby.
Well...we bought one 4 years ago from there. Not helpful at all. . I'm surprised that they aren't everywhere with the new movie coming out. What about etsy?

We anounced on Halloween with this ... I was planning on pictures of our actual pumpkins but I was feeling so sick and didn't want to stage them we will announce the sex on thanksgiving .... Shhhh it a GIRL !!! Lol
We already told most people we interact with regularly, but we're formally announcing to the rest with our Christmas cards. I switched the wording around a little since this screenshot, but it's the same premise. Baby is going to have a J name keeping with H's family tradition so it's currently Baby J.
