@hplunkett2883I've been on here for a long time as well. I liked the sarcasm when it was not aimed at people. I also find the GIF parties amusing when they are funny. A lot of the people who were negative in a helpful way I just found out were kicked off ( I just thought they got sick of us! ) which explains why the tone has recently changed. I might just be cranky this week because I usually love you ladies.
It's just frustrating when we truly are being helpful we still get called names.
Wait, who got kicked off? Tell me it wasn't @ChiccoBeanz! I haven't seen her post in forever. Edited to add here (b/c I wouldn't want to start a new thread & this seems as good a place as any) I am totally freaking out about how many new birth announcements there are everyday! If I'd ever learned to GIF if insert screaming "home alone" Macauley Culkin GIF here.
Nevermind. I was trying to encourage people to ignore the posts that stressed them out rather then react. I was intentionally trying not to call people out. I'm truly sorry if I offended anyone. I am also too upset about Chiccobeanz to continue with this thread.

I've also noticed the lack of chiccobeanz.. I wish there was some way we could petition to bring her back.
Wait... People post photos of their mucus plugs?? Oh god no. I don't even want to see my own!
Someone posted a picture of her shit in the toilet on the 2nd trimester board asking if it was normal. I wouldn't put it past some of these drive by posters. And yeah, trust me it's not something you want to see.

Thankfully that got removed before I saw it. But I do remember the hilarious comments that followed.

It was a rather amusing thread, but disgusting nonetheless.
It's interesting because I came on here in the 2nd trimester or so (my name changed) from the baby center boards because I couldn't stand how rude and mean some people on that board were. You guys (the people who were here before me) are awesome compared to that board. I haven't seen anyone make things really personal or petty or seen 3 or 4 "veterans" gang up on anyone. Mostly just funny light sarcasm.

Yep. And some people can't handle that and get report-happy on every tiny thing they don't agree with. Sad.

The loss of Chicco is inexcusable. And the repeated post make it feel like Groundhog Day around here. The ones that are really working my nerves are the ones complaining about being "over" being pregnant. Yeah. I get it. I too would like to sleep at night and be able to tie my own shoes, but still. Maybe they should try fisting. I hear it can really get labor moving.
So many responses I agree with. Let's start with the baby gender one. Come on now! If you are a committed team green and are changing your mind coming here at the last minute with dubious US isn't going to help. Maybe I wasn't an active member in the beginning stages but I've been here quite a while following along. And I will say this about you ladies, you are one helluva supportive group when it counts. I've read and have posted in several threads about things that you can't ask a doctor (personal things/rants/vents/feelings) and not once have I seen a negative or condescending response from anyone including members that unfortunately have been banned. I think it's common sense, something you HAVE TO ASK YOUR OB. So if a newer member comes and asks for the gazillion time what to pack in their hospital bag when this has been discussed way back in October I don't blame anybody here for directing them to the search function. I'm sure we have all used it at some point. Other things we are all more than glad to commiserate or make each other less panicky by saying oh yeah me too must be normal.
And yes to the gifs. I can't gif but I freaking love them
And yes to the MIL/mom stories. Sheer entertainment love it.
AND especially yes to the birth announcements, we are popping like popcorn over here!!! Eek!!!
Wait, who got kicked off? Tell me it wasn't @ChiccoBeanz! I haven't seen her post in forever.
Unfortunately yes it was...
Aww! I miss her sassy NYC attitude! She was always helpful too! I don't think she was ever mean or catty at all! That stinks! Also, YES to the crazy in law posts! I read them like I used to watch episodes of jersey shore. I just can't stop myself
I just wanted to say (in case the admin shut this one down too) that I am in agreement with all of you! I'm not talented in the gif department, but I appreciate your honesty and humour!
