Does anyone else think it is super weird when people who know your husband/boyfriend but don't know you friend request you on facebook? I would seriously never friend request someone unless it was someone I actually knew. This girl friend requested my last night I (which I denied). She works for my brother in law and DH knows her husband but I have never met her or even talked to her on the phone.
Helloooo my lovely ladies! I took most of the week off of the Bump, but I missed you all too much to stay gone. Just spent the last 4,000 hours catching up on this thread and checking out some of the ridiculous threads you mentioned.
The fingernail thing . . . like 5 years ago when I was here with DD1, there was a girl who freaked out about eating feta cheese. She said, "It was just a small amount - probably like a fingernail full." And I'm pretty sure she said she made herself puke it up. I remember thinking the poor delusional girl was going to have to change her SN if she ever wanted to post on the Bump again because of the intense joking at her expense. Haha. Seriously, though . . .
Congrats on all the new baby boys! (And girls if there were any. I just feel like all the reveals I read were boys!)

Omg. The fasting was terrible. My last meal was at 8 am. DS was born at 10:36 pm. DS had the cord wrapped around his neck so they immediately took him away. I spent the next two hours TRYING to deliver the placenta and getting tons of stitches. When they finally handed me DS at 2:30 am I actually fainted. I had zero energy. It was terrible.

I hate when this happens. I have had a few people who were PARENTS of kids he grew up with request me. I did not grow up with him, so I'm a complete stranger to them...it's really weird. I have a strict policy on FB though, where I won't friend anyone I don't explicitly remember...that goes for some kids from high school that I can't place (even if they are friends with the rest of my graduating class).
Has anyone else read the "starting to hate my dr's office thread" on 3rd tri board. Some of these women, I swear I'd be a terrible doctor for all the it's-all-about-ME women that I see.

I've read it- I get the same pissy attitude when they take forever to get me in (I've sat as long as 45 minutes for my 2 second shot- no doctor needed for that). But I don't display it or gripe to everyone- I may bitch to DH in a text, and by time he writes back I'm called in. Ugh...they need to realize that sometimes the doctor gets called out to deliver a baby in the middle of the day. I completely understand that and only hope that other patients are as accepting of me if I disrupt their appointment day. Its really not that big of a deal.
I had appointments at my regular doctor's, on the other hand, that I did get vocally pissed about. I took 2 hours off work in the middle of the day, went to my appointment, sat for over an hour, then get told I couldn't be seen that day. This happened on several occasions, so yeah I bitched. I haven't been back since. They claimed they didn't have a doctor on staff so the PA couldn't see me (they couldn't/still can't keep a doctor on staff).

Honestly my primary care doctor when I was younger left us waiting for 1-2 hours consistently but he was a specialist so you kind of dealt with it, but my OB had me in and out in 45 minutes for my anatomy scan and I thought that was truly amazing since I flexed 3 hours of work for it and I ended out only missing an hour and 15 which is easier to make up :-)

Re: doctors... I waited for an hour today before saying something to reception. I was in for a checkup at my rheumy (missed class, couldn't rearrange and they insisted I needed to go)... said something and their had been an issue with the comp and they pushed me along. BC the OB/rheumy team are taking care of my pregnancy I didn't have to even go (which is what I thought)... so basically 90min wasted.
Only upside the hospital is on my uni campus and I was a smart patient and brought 4 review articles to read

My biggest questions are - how old is it? What's the material (will it be easy to clean spitup and pee out of)? Is it comfortable for overnight stints? Personally I love rocker/recliners since you spend so much time in them.

Okay so I have an advice question. I'm in that wedding I mentioned and I told the bride that my cousins baby shower was January 16th. A different friend also scheduled her shower for that day so I was like okay double booked! Well then the bride decided to change the day of her shower to be the 16th...and I was like oh that's my cousins shower and now my other friends too and she was basically like lol you're popular!
She is having another shower December 5th which I of course have a baby shower that day too. So what the bleep do I do? Do I say well I received these other invitations first and go to neither of her showers? Do I go to one or both of them and not attend the others? Whyyyy is everyone having life events!

That's a tough one...I mean, I think you're going to have to prioritize. Which is crappy. Social norms say family comes first, however, you are participating in this girls' wedding, so perhaps bump her to the top and attend hers? I don't know. Any chance the times of them don't overlap and you can attend 2? Have you RSVPd to any of them yet?

It looks like it is in good condition but you would have to see it and sit in it to know if you want it. Can she give you the brand and name of the chair so you can look it up and see how much it is new. I would say its probably a good deal if it is in good condition since gliders with ottomans are usually 500.00 or more.
