I have been really bad with my diet yesterday. I have been struggling to have any appetite and what sounds good is not healthy or good for my medical issues. As a result I have been eating very bad gluten and preservative laden food behind DH's back and not confessing later when I am whinging and whining about gas/cramps/having poo on the whole spectrum of the Bristol scale. (FYI don't know what that is? Some scientist actually developed a way of measuring poo... and it is a common clinical assessment... no shit!)

It doesn't really bother me to see a kid playing on a phone or tablet. When I'm grocery shopping at least one of my youngest is watching something on the Disney Jr. app or playing a letter/number matching game. I think there are some great learning games and such on electronic devices. All of my kids have a game system of some sort. The older ones (because of school) are only allowed to play for a few hours on Saturday afternoon (especially during winter when it's too cold to get out) and occasionally Friday evening. I only have a problem with those things when it becomes something that replaces spending time with your child (i.e. they're on it every minute).

I grew up in a house where my mom bought a ton of store brand groceries and DH's mom bought all name brand, no matter what. So now I sometimes buy off-brand cereal just because I know DH will be less likely to eat it and I can have it all to myself.

@JessKo08 There's more store brand stuff we prefer than name brand. My husband and I both grew up like that also, so that could be why.
I'm all about saving a buck, so if you were to go through my cupboards you'd find the same. Except for spaghetti-o's; there are no quality substitutes for Campbell's Spaghetti-O's (except for maybe the ORGINAL Franco-American brand before Campbell's took over).

The simple fact that you (or anyone) remember the Franco-American brand makes me want to hug you lol. Oh food, how I love you so.

I've had a cream cheese bagel for breakfast the last 3 days in a row.
I haven't figured out how much cream cheese I can eat without getting sick so it's seriously a roulette game but I don't care because bagel. I also haven't had a bagel since like 2009 when I learned its the same thing as having 6 slices or bread or something like that.
Mmmmmmmmm bagels. Hubby and I (just for you @kynbar5) go to our favorite bagel shop on the way to work 2 or 3 days a week and get breakfast sandwiches on a bagel - my favorite is egg and cheddar on jalapeno cheddar bagel. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

So...mine is that I weighed myself this morning and I'm up 21 pounds. I'm not even 21 weeks. I know why...usually I avoid gluten and all processed foods, eating really really well (like sanctimoniously well). But, since I've become pregnant, all I want is egg sandwiches with american cheese and carbs with a side of carbs. My doc mentioned she was concerned about my weight gain at my last appointment and I've put on a few pounds since then, this is NOT good.
I sometimes (on weekends mainly) tell DH I didn't plan dinners for the weekend in hopes we will go out or order in. Sometimes it backfires on me and we end up eating mac-n-cheese..

Every morning I come to work and I bump/facebook for an hour before I even start getting anything done. After getting my kids ready for grandma's and the commute, I need that unwind time! (But I have code open on another monitor just in case anyone walks by)

I don't really care much for breakfast food. I don't get the obsession with bacon, I don't like ham, I don't like scrambled eggs either. I mean I LOVE mimosas but....ya know.

Lol me too. I do the same thing. I sit facing my office door so no one can see my monitors unless they walk in but I usually keep a spread sheet open on my 2nd screen so I can quickly minimize should someone come into my office.
My: FFFC I haven't got to work before 8:30 this week at all. Lucikly my boss is super laid back and doesn't care. I take a 30 min lunch or stay late to make up for it. DH leaves early and I have to get DS ready all by myself now. What the hell am I going to go to do when I have two kids to get ready in the morning and the baby has to be fed and changed? I need to get my shit together!

It's tough but you do figure it out. I had to start my day 30-45 minutes early just so I could get showered in the morning before work.

Due to varying circumstances, 3 of our normal Thanksgiving guests might not be joining us this year. But I'm still making the same amount of food as usual and I will be laying claim to all of the extra gravy and stuffing.
On a similar note, I made a pumpkin pie for an event which ended up not happening. So since I'm the only one who likes pumpkin pie, I ate the whole thing myself in the span of a week and it was awesome!
Loving all the Parks and Rec gifs. That show was amazing . . . (Also love how more and more of our confessions these days are focused on food. Pregnant women. Ha.)
My confession is that I'm annoyed by how large my husband's Christmas list is. I asked for a new diaper bag and a scarf. He sent me a Bass Pro Shops wish list that has 35 items, plus a Microsoft Word file with 8 more things on it. And it's not like he deprives himself all year. He buys himself stuff allllll year long, then goes crazy at Christmas time. I feel like he's so greedy. Ugh.
Also, we've stayed home in our pajamas for the past two days. It's windy and freezing and our heat isn't working, so we have to huddle around the fireplace all day. I want to cry.

1. I hate when mothers of 2+ kids say parenting one is such a breeze and I have it so easy. I used to nanny four kids ages 2-5 and I swear the four of them were usually easier than my one. It is constantly the mommy show. I can't sit and play all day. Parenting is hard whether you have one or six kids.
2. I am a sahm except for the 6 hours a week I nanny. I take my son with me so I don't really count it anyway. I send DS to a Mother's Day out program on Fridays from 9-1. Every single Friday I pick a breakfast place and have breakfast alone and stay for at least an hour. I don't answer any calls or texts. I just enjoy the time alone with no obligations. Then I go run 1000x errands. That hour of silence is usually the best part of my week.
3. I hate the teenage style right now. The chick next to me at breakfast is wearing leggings with a regular tshirt that doesn't cover her butt. She also has a half ponytail with as scrunchy and high top converse. Also, I'm pretty sure there is no dress code in Colorado. It snowed the other day and these teens were wearing the shortest shorts I've ever seen. You look stupid.
Bahahaha welcome to Colorado @jmathi0149. It's because it can be 70* in the afternoon when it snows that morning. But yeah, relaxed and anything goes here.

I couldn't fathom (and I'm sure my husband and kids couldn't either lol) buying any ready-made food for holidays. My grand and great-grand parents would roll in their graves.

My husband and I have picked a baby name but we're not telling anyone because we don't want opinions. Instead of being honest, I have told people we aren't thinking about names yet because of how high risk the pregnancy is, even to my best friends. It made one of them feel really s***ty for even asking last night because she felt insensitive. I felt guilty but didn't confess.
I had an unexpected day off yesterday so I laid around in bed all day watching reruns of top chef on hulu. When my husband asked me if I took advantage of it to get chores done, I pretended I didn't hear what he said. No guilt.

I have binge watched all the episodes oftip chef over the summer... no regrets
