1. I hate when mothers of 2+ kids say parenting one is such a breeze and I have it so easy. I used to nanny four kids ages 2-5 and I swear the four of them were usually easier than my one. It is constantly the mommy show. I can't sit and play all day. Parenting is hard whether you have one or six kids.
2. I am a sahm except for the 6 hours a week I nanny. I take my son with me so I don't really count it anyway. I send DS to a Mother's Day out program on Fridays from 9-1. Every single Friday I pick a breakfast place and have breakfast alone and stay for at least an hour. I don't answer any calls or texts. I just enjoy the time alone with no obligations. Then I go run 1000x errands. That hour of silence is usually the best part of my week.
3. I hate the teenage style right now. The chick next to me at breakfast is wearing leggings with a regular tshirt that doesn't cover her butt. She also has a half ponytail with as scrunchy and high top converse. Also, I'm pretty sure there is no dress code in Colorado. It snowed the other day and these teens were wearing the shortest shorts I've ever seen. You look stupid.
To #1... As a mom of 4(currently) yes you are right, when they are young. It was easier when my kids were young and kept each other occupied. My two middle kids(13 year old girl and 10 year old son) fight like rabid hyenas trying to eat the last zebra on the planet! But in all reality I think it all depends on the individual child not the number of kids. My son is almost as difficult alone as he is with his siblings. To #3... Exactly! Thank goodness my 18 year old dd dresses for herself and not the trending style. My 13 yr old dd is more of a tomboy so she doesn't want to wear revealing clothes. Hallelujah!
Honestly the "thought" of alone time completely without any kids sounds good at times but actually doing something by myself isn't something I'd follow through with. I'm so used to having at least 1 kid with me that I don't really want to do anything without them (even just a quick trip to the store). I throughly enjoy having 1 or all of my family with me.

While I thoroughly enjoy getting my hair or nails done alone (no kids allowed at my spa) and occasionally having a meal out with DH or my girlfriends, I don't really ever go out with 0 kids. Some things are much easier with only 1 or 2 of them, but whenever I go somewhere alone it feels so weird!!

Lol well maybe it's easier for me because I do my own hair, I'm not into the nail thing, my husband and I would seriously rather eat at home and then play COD or catch up on shows and the only females I'm close with are family (1 that I'm not actually related to) but they all live far so we text or talk on the phone. When we (husband and I) do go out to eat to an actual sit down restaurant it's when we're in town for errands while the older ones are at school but we definitely have the 2 younger ones with us. It works for us and we enjoy it

I had an unexpected day off yesterday so I laid around in bed all day watching reruns of top chef on hulu. When my husband asked me if I took advantage of it to get chores done, I pretended I didn't hear what he said. No guilt.
I have binge watched all the episodes oftip chef over the summer... no regrets

Ooh, I have another one. I LOVE sleeping alone. I can't tell my husband, but I'd love it if people still slept in separate twin beds. Better: separate King-sized beds. When one of us has to go out of town, he is the sentimental one, and I sleep like a baby.

If this is wrong then I don't want to be right! All the bed, all the blankets and none of the snoring! Luckily for me DH travels a ton so I get our bed to myself a few nights each week, but I could never tell him how much I love it.
Every morning I come to work and I bump/facebook for an hour before I even start getting anything done. After getting my kids ready for grandma's and the commute, I need that unwind time! (But I have code open on another monitor just in case anyone walks by)
This is why full time should be considered less than 40 hours. I could easily get all my work done in less than 8 hours but because I HAVE to be in the office for 8 hours, I'm less efficient. More efficient work while at work=more time with family= happier employee=More efficient employee. It's a positive loop!
I too have been guilty of not really starting work until about an hour in and then maybe even goof off after lunch and then again at the end of the day when I'm waiting to go home. If they told me I could go home after all the work is completed I'd easily be done after 4-6 hours. We've literally become the workers from "Office Space."
When asked if I floss every night, I told my dentist no because I'm pregnant and my gums bleed and take a while to stop. In reality, some nights I'm just lazy, pregnant or not.

Also matching sox are very important... I throw away lonely ones and buy new ones on a seasonal.basis
