I had a frito pie for my lunch and I still have heartburn! Plus, meatball subs are on the menu tonight...I don't see any relief in my near future and I'm too tired to think of an alternate meal.

My students were dropping like flies today. I have a class of 20 and at one point durring the day I only had 12 kids in my room. Yay for a relaxing quiet day. Boo for all the germs floating around my room.

Is not actually a pie... Which is confusing. Is just chili and cheese on top of Fritos! (Lettuce and tomato is optional) They are sold everywhere in New Mexico...usually the #1 selling dish at any sporting event. It's one of our easy go-to meals.

It took me about 18 months to lose all but the last 10 lbs from Ds (I lost all but the last 5 before getting pregnant this time). I Gained 65 during the pregnancy partly due to bedrest and pre e and partly because I took eating for 2 a little too literally. For me nursing helped me lose to a degree but it was a slow process.
I can't believe tomorrow is Friday alteady. So pumped it is the weekend, but Ds's bday party is Sunday and I have a disaster of a house right now. I also am afraid Dh and I are going to get his stomach but and I will have to cancel. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen!
@ecwk PLEASE eat a Frito Chili Pie asap! They give me ridiculous gas (I like plenty of beans in my chili) and heartburn but I LOVE them! I do Fritos, chili, cheese then top with sour cream. Omg drooling right now. This is what we're having for dinner tomorrow night just because of tb

I successfully made dinner tonight (it hasn't happened in a week). Harkening back to my favorite Whole30 meals... Ground turkey patties topped with carmelized onions and mushrooms, and a salad topped with roasted tomatoes. Not too shabby! Of course, it paired well with the full fat chocolate milk I chugged.
Blarg I'm really struggling tonight. One of our friends is having a big 40th birthday bash this Saturday evening, and I'm at a total loss as to what women wear out nowadays... (we live in a college town so people try to stay pretty trendy - obviously I'm not one of those people). So I'm looking online trying to get ideas, and I've hit that part of my pregnancy where I get really unrealistically sad and mourn all of the cute clothes I won't be able to wear for a while. Last pregnancy it was scalloped shorts. This pregnancy all I can think about are sequined skirts. Not that I'd ever actually wear one, but it's the idea that I can't that my psyche is upset about.
@smushi how glam is this party? Ain't nothing wrong with a plain black dress jazzed up with some nice shoes, jewelry, accessories etc. I have a totally plain maternity one from Target that I can totally dress up or down and I love it!

Me either! And also, what was she thinking we were going to tell her to do? Quit working? Perhaps ask her co-workers to stop smoking. Honestly it feels akin to worrying about whether UV rays are going to hurt your baby while they are inside. Give me a bloody break.
While we're are it - third tri lady asking to guess baby's sex based on shot of the face. Dude, I can't even tell girl and boy babies apart after they're born unless they're wearing something to give it away. How dafuq am I supposed to guess here??
So I realized that I can tuck my full panel maternity pants into my bra and it relieve so much pain my bra has been causing me. This is the best thing ever right now. I realize that this wont last forever because I will need the panel room for my belly, but for now I will bask in its glory.
So glad I'm not the only one wishing I could just go bra less all the time. Dang things, get worse every day.
Oh, you girls talking about third hand smoke... I had smoked before getting pregnant with ds, I quit as soon as I realized we were expecting. At about 30 weeks, we signed up for WIC as they had contacts with the local la lache (did I spell that right) group. The case worker that worked with us told us that dh needed to completely shower and change his clothes before picking up baby if he had smoked since his last shower. Apparently, she was convinced that the "contact smoke" would be very dangerous to ds. Now, Dh never picked ds up immediately after smoking as he does smell more then, and he would always wash his hands after smoking, but shower every time? He already smokes only outside and never near ds or i.
That's insane, @red3ye! I get washing your hands. But, a shower? That feels like overkill. I'm pretty sure my mom smoked while pregnant with me (she denies it, but...), and I know I crawled around on smoke covered furniture and I'm perfectly healthy. No asthma. No breathing issues. There are SO many things in the world that it's possible to worry about, this just feels like piling it on for the sake of it.

My husband got to feel the baby kick last night for the first time. He had his hand there for 5 minutes and I told him it's not kicking anymore and then when he took it away the baby kicked again. The little stinker, so I put his had back and he felt the next one. :-) Yay for firsts.

@flowerpower5838 That is so cute! I am totally a harry potter loving nerd! DH made fun of me when we first started dating because I went and got one of the books at midnight when it came out.
After waiting 2 hours for our AS yesterday we found out baby boy is healthy and growing right on track! Such a relief! No cute profile pictures to share because he was face down so we the pictures look like you are literally staring at a skull..which I guess you are. So not cure. We did get a good picture of his hand/arm and leg/foot.

Last night we completely changed up our plans for which room our two oldest are going to share. Unfortunately the bigger room is closer to our bedroom (I really wanted baby the closest but space wise it makes sense - originally we were going to have them share the smaller room). And the layout will be better. DH's point was that we will have a baby monitor (and I hear everything in the middle of the night). I'm also rethinking having the baby in with us the first few months - like NOT do it
