For snacks I usually do mixed nuts or cheese and crackers. As far as meals I've been doing a low carb high fat diet. (Believe me it is helping me shed the pounds too!) Here's a few links to my favorite recipes:
I've been eating a normal diet. When he is nursing I have been eating animal crackers especially the frosted ones. I've also been drinking water like crazy.
Definitely stay hydrated, and I keep a basket of oat bars, fig newtons, granola, etc. It's perfect to grab from when I'm hungry but don't have time or a free hand to do anything other than tear off a wrapper. I try to eat oatmeal at least once a day. Other than that, I don't worry to much during the day when I eat meals, other than avoiding spicy stuff. I've lost 25 lbs in 3 weeks so far!
I'm eating normally, but higher fiber bc I'm only a few days post pardum. Middle of night feedings I eat so randomly haha last night it was apple with PB, night before a bagel with jelly, other times pop tarts...lol
I don't have much for an appetite. Only things like ice cream actually sound good but I know that's not a good balanced meal. I've been eating more granola bars and whatever else I'd normally eat. And water, lots of water. I feel thirsty all the time and constantly have my hospital jug of water next to me.
Kind granola bars - they are easy, taste good and much lower in sugar than most. Cheese sticks Apples Whole wheat English muffins with PB Oatmeal cookies I definitely fell short on my water intake a couple of weeks ago and really felt it, so now I'm drinking more water and Gatorade
I eat my regular diet, spicy stuff included and it hasn't affected breastfeeding at all. I do drink a ton of water and eat a lot of oatmeal...but I got on an oatmeal kick while I was pregnant and for some reason still like it. Pre-pregnancy oatmeal made me dry heave and reminded me of vomit
