@ezgiplace - I had PUPPS with DD1. I got Sarna lotion to help relieve some of the itching. And I had another friend who had it who swore by washcloths dipped in vinegar.
Here's my question of the day: Do you take Braxton Hicks as a sign to take it easy? Today is my housework day, so I've been on my feet for a couple hours and suddenly have non-stop BH. Should I take that as an excuse to take a break from the housework, or is it harmless to continue?

Ummmm absolutely take it easy - do the left side laying and tons of water. Your body is telling you you need rest, dear, especially with the non-stop. You don't want to end up in L&D!!! (And I only say that from experience with DS2's pregnancy)

Agree with @skruhmin, it's usually a sign to drink more water.
So. I'm 22 weeks and I made the silly mistake of taking my prenatal in the am on an empty stomach. ..smh. needless to say I had to put my knees on the floor of my office bathroom 8-} , my hubby ( we work together ) alerted me that my eye was bloody, I busted a blood vessel, it looks terrible but doesn't hurt. Has this happened to anyone else? I've only gotten sick about 4 times my whole pregnancy so far . I went to the motherhood store today and the manager said "what happened, you blew your eye out getting sick huh" she says they see it all the time. I tried searching here and didn't see any posts forgive me but I take comfort and feel less of an alien in group suffering lol.
20 weeks now and sure I can feel baby move! I'm a FTM. Feels like when you're on a roller coaster and your stomach drops. My question is about hairy belly...I noticed that the peach fuzz on my belly is longer and therefore more noticeable. Even my husband noticed. Is this normal?!

I haven't had it happen during pregnancy but I have had that happen a few times. Usually, when I vomit I break blood vessels in the skin around my eyes very easily and I look like I have 3 day old black eyes. I vomitted so hard once the vessels around my eyes broke as well as down my cheeks and jaw. I looked like I had been jumped in an alley. Thankfully, it doesn't take long to fade since it's only small amounts of blood.

Last time I threw up I broke the blood vessels around my eyes, it goes away pretty quickly.

Haven't experienced it but I have heard this is normal. It's all in the way each person's body responds to the hormones.
My turn for a gross question. Has anyone started losing what looks like a mucus plug already at 22 weeks? I'm not worried because I know it regenerates several times and you can lose it several times, but it seems weird to do that this early. I wonder if it has anything to do with taking mucinex.

@skruhmin So I have seen something slimey, intact, and translucentish come out a few times a week when I wipe (TMI??). I have never seen my mucous plug with the previous pregnancy so not sure what it looks like and don't remember having this whatever it is come out with last pregnancy either. I just thought it was what they call "extra lubrication / discharge" down there that's normal part of pregnancy.
And I'm used to that @mshukh , but this one seemed like that plug consistency - different than the usual stuff. Just weird...I'll mention it to my midwife next appointment.

Sorry if this is any kind of repeat... I've scaned through most of the posts and didnt notice this specifically.. any second time (or more) moms that had a c-section with their first, real itchy around their section scar? Its weird, my scar is 8 year old and its only on the bottom side of my scar (area that is still somewhat numb to me). I go for my next checkup Thursday so I'll talk to the Dr then, was just curious if any other mama's experienced this.

It's the hormones of pregnancy. It causes your body to stop shedding the hair like it naturally does, so you may become fuzzier than usual (all over). Just be aware that you may experience post partum shedding around month 3-4 after having the baby - your body will naturally want to shed all that hair that it held onto (from your head, and everywhere else).
I hope I didn't miss it somewhere but I'm experiencing soreness in my rib cage. It kind of feels like my ribs are being spread apart, as if I over ate. The feeling extends all the way around to my back. I'm assuming it's baby growing and making space but geez it hurts.
ETA: Sorry, forgot my question. Is there anything I can do to alleviate the pain. I can alleviate my back with a massage from DH but I was just wondering what to do about my ribs up front.
This happened to me about 4 weeks ago, my doctor said there wasn't much to be done but try Tylenol, which I dig. Good news is it went away within hours and only happened 2 days in a row.
Anyone else experiencing a sore tail bone? When I sit in a chair for pretty much any amount of time, I get up and my tail bone is killing me to the point where it's hard to stand up straight. Even just sitting down for dinner.

Absolutely. Along with the bad sciatic pain. This kiddo loves sitting against those nerves. I found the best help is to take a bath with epsom salts. Swimming in a pool would help too - get yourself weightless and moving around.

I have been experiencing sharp uncomfortable pains under my ribs and in my upper back. I'm only 20.5 weeks so surely it can't be the baby kicking my ribs... Right? Anyone else experience this?
@MNGrl24 is it right sided? If so, have you considered gallbladder problems? Gallstones have a tendency to show up during pregnancy.
I second that too. When mine flairs up, I get a painful stabbing pain right in the center of my chest that radiates down under my right ribcage and up through my right shoulder blade.

@JessKo08@skruhmin yep right side. Interesting you guys say that, years ago I was diagnosed with having gallbladder stones but randomly they stopped bothering me... I have a dr appt Friday and am going to bring it up. No fun!
No real question here, just a complaint. Last night DH and I were laying in bed watching TV and I could NOT get comfy. I think all of my body parts are all squished up in my ribcage and my poor lungs are suffering the most.
I guess I do have a question - anything that alleviates this? Any kind of stretching or something? It's not AWFUL by any means, just uncomfortable.
Suddenly feeling super tired and out of energy again!! I'm 24 weeks today, I thought the second trimester was supposed to be full of energy?! I just can't seem to feel awake no matter what I do.

I THINK I'm dealing with "lightning crotch" today. So frustrating and super scary with the cerclage. If I knew that is all it is, no biggie. It's just another thing making me freak out.

Maybe some cat cow stretches? If you have a pull up bar available, just hold on and let your feet dangle for a minute?

Haha, too bad it's not as fun as it sounds...which isn't too fun, I suppose. Gone for now at least!
I went in for a routine cervical length ultrasound Tuesday and they found that my cervical length had gone from 32 to 19. I was admitted to L & D where they monitored for contractions (thankfully NONE!) and ended up doing a cerclage. I am now on modified bed rest for the next 2 weeks where I will be monitored weekly to make sure that my cervical length hasn't changed. This is my first day home from the hospital and I am already going crazy! I keep trying to tell myself that this is for the good of the baby and will hopefully increase my chances of delivering to term but I am not a very good couch potato.

@lorenashley01 thanks, I'm trying to avoid Tylenol but if it keeps up this bad I may have to give it a try.
