Has anyone's cravings totally flip flopped since the first trimester?? I was all chocolate, cookies, sweets - now I'm salty and veggies. It's a nice change, but I wondered if I am craving veggies bc I was low on some kind of vitamin.
Yes, first trimester the only thing I could hold down were heavy carbs like bagels and cream cheese. Now, I crave cranberry juice and large salads with tons of toppings
Ugh I feel like it's too early for heartburn to start. I'm only 16 weeks. I had awful heartburn with my first pregnancy but it didn't start this early.

Last time heartburn started at 5weeks or so - first experience ever in my life. This pregnancy I'm 15weeks and I've had one or two instances where I had heartburn. I guess every pregnancy is really different!
Has anyone else experienced earache during the pregnancy? Mine has been going on for three days now. It gets really bad suddenly and then it goes away again.

@Elasticheart13 I've been having earaches too. For me I think it's related to having extra congestion and sinus issues while pregnant. Mine hasn't gotten bad enough to go to the doctor, so I don't have any good advice on how to fix it or make it feel any better.
I've been waking up most mornings with one hand numb.. I'm not sure if I'm sleeping on it, or what's up.. Today, that hand is massively painful.. My joins ache, the whole hand/wrist are just uncomfortable... Anyone have a similar experience?
@misstopsail it sounds like some sort of carpal tunnel syndrome. I haven't experienced it but I know it happens during pregnancy. Wish I had advice. Maybe your doctor can give you some exercise to help?
No cravings... Like RoseShadow, I've only had aversions so far. And my aversions? VEGETABLES! Ack! How am I supposed to eat healthy for the baby if I can't stand the taste of any veggie?
I'm having boob weirdness. Does anyone know if it's normal to have really dry nipples already? My skin there is super dry and looks almost cracking and there is even a discolored area as well! It's like darker there! What the heck? The boobs themselves even look lopsided now too.
Me too! This is my third baby and I had that with the second too. The unevenness gets even worse when your milk comes in and one side gets more than the other...thankfully you are probably the only person who notices!
Yes to so many of these! Yes to random left butt cheek pain, shortness of breath from climbing stairs (had to take a break on the steps when doing laundry the other day), CRAZY eczema that drove me to the hospital because I had no idea what it was and it looked worse than what it ended up actually being, totally exhausted, and having a hard time eating, excersizing and basically doing anything I'm supposed to. END RANT.
It begins: I saw the early discoloration of linea negra today below my belly button. This does go away, right?
Don't want to be the bearer of bad news. But mine did not go away. While pregnant it went all the way up to the top of my belly. After DD was born, the line only went from my belly button down. It was lighter for sure, but definitely still there.
@kielpinskim I've read that it can take a couple of years to fade away completely...which is about the same amount of time we'll wait to have another. Go figure!
Mine finally went away after I was done nursing, which was more than a year after having her. The hole from having my belly button pierced years ago still is all stretched out and weird looking though.
At my last check up, the nurse practitioner asked if my breasts are always this red. I was super confused, as I hadn't noticed anything, but lo and behold, the undersides of my breasts were quite pink. She said to stop wearing bras and call in if it got worse. Well almost a week later, bra-free, and they're still pretty pink - though not worse. It doesn't itch, burn, or hurt in any way, though it is a little warmer to the touch than the top of my belly.
I am so congested I feel like I'm suffocating. The shortness of breath doesn't help either. I have migraines, but also massive sinus headaches. Anyone else? I am very scared if this is supposed to last until delivery

I'm a chronic migraine sufferer and have found that if I don't have a cup of 1/2 caf coffee in the morning. Shortness of breath, I don't think there's much you can do for it. I lose my breath watching sports on TV. The congestion could be from pregnancy or allergies. You could try Benadryl at night or ask your OB if there's something she suggests. I know some women here swear by the NettiPot, but if you go that route make sure you're totally drained before you go to bed.
How far are you? They say second trimester is supposed to be the best, I still don't feel great or full of energy but there are days here and there when I feel almost like myself.

Any idea what might be causing this?
Could it be a yeast infection? I personally have never experienced it, but I know my mom, who is very large breasted, told me she's had several on the underside of her breasts and she's even had to have medication for it before. I'm not sure what all you can do for it besides let it dry really well after showering before putting on clothes, going braless, and keeping it well ventilated during the day (how? I don't know). Good luck!

@amadorrose Exfoliating it post-baby is key. I thought mine was never going to go awyy after having my son. Then I read online about exfoliating and once I started doing that, it went away pretty quickly.

My right boob always produced WAY more and was WAY bigger while nursing. While they got closer in size once I weaned my son, the right is still a little bigger.

@AmadorRose I forgot to mention I'm 16 + 5 weeks. I am soooooo happy that the nausea is gone, but now there's the back pain, sciatic pain, migraines, congestion, and now a possible sinus infection. I want to be done being pregnant, but I am not ready for a new baby yet, so I just need to put up with it I guess.

Oddly my belly button was sore today. Also when I lay on left I feel hardness above my belly button and slightly in it. I'm 15.5 so can't be my uterus yet
@JanaBonfield I can relate, unfortunately. I have been terribly congested for weeks. For the past 5 weeks, it got wworse to the point I thought I had a cold. Took cold medicine which did nothing to help alleviate sympts. Took allergy medicine, but that also did nothing. I have so much mucus, that nose spray can't work because the snot is blocking it (my guess anyway). The last 12 hours or so, I have gotten progressively worse. I am short of breath, even when Im just sitting. I can't breathe at all through my nose. I had a mild nose bleed a few hours ago, and I feel weak and my head feels foggy. The worst is I am having chest pain when I try to take a deep breath. I googled my symptoms and now I am afraid this has developed into bronchitis or even pneumonia. Or maybe the flu? I am going to urgent care as soon as I get off work this morning. The feeling like I can't breath is scary and I am desperate for some relief. Does anyone have any experience with these symptoms during pregnancy? Or with the flu, bronchitis or pneumonia? I hope its not anything serious, but I also am positive this is something worse than just pregnancy congestion, which is what I originally thought this was. I'm also scared that the baby isn't getting enough oxygen at this point (I'm 19+5).
Re: Is this normal? Symptoms thread!!
Edit: fat fingers
I guess every pregnancy is really different!

Also, just going to leave this right here (it may or may not resurface again as the need arises)...
