What is your favorite thing about your city/state? We have a lot of stuff to do (including 2 amusement parks) and a ton of sports teams which DH and I love. Speaking of, tonight the 2 Ohio football teams play each other...Go Bengals, Who Dey!!
@MrsB8214 My husband is going to the game! Are you in the Cinci area?
Born and raised in Michigan, transplanted to Cincinnati, OH about 1.5 yr ago.
Favorite thing about our current location - Cincinnati is like a little hidden gem of a city! We are 15 minutes from downtown and there are so many parks, kid friendly things and awesome restaurants.
But....I still miss Michigan and all the lakes, going "up north" and obviously being near family and friends!
What is your favorite thing about your city/state? I can walk to the beach from my house, or get in the car and be in NYC in an hour. We have all 4 seasons (though winter is the worst!) but spring/summer/early Fall at the shore is just THE BEST its like being on vacation, we can go boating, to the beach, eat the freshest seafood, see fireworks weekly, etc. I just love it.
I'm on the Jersey Shore too! What part?

I love being so close to a world class city. The art, museums, sports, restaurants, and culture are amazing. But I also love the balance that my suburban area is on the edge of the country. It's quiet, beautiful, and we have a beautiful property where we garden and have room to run.
I have family in the SW burbs. I think SW. I was born on the south side, and we moved when it go to be rough. I was raised in "the region" of IN, but we have moved a bit east of there.
I live in NE Ohio. I can't say that I love the weather, but I do love Cleveland! Great museums, theater, music, and restaurants. Oh, and the Browns!!! GO BROWNS!!!
I love fall in the Hoosier state, but winter is the WORST. The Indy 500 is my Mecca. There isn't anything better than an Indiana sunset. Also, I can't get enough IU basketball!
Northern Michigan!!! Although hoping to be moving closer to my parents in south Carolina!
I love the summer time and glue faithful northern Michigan is. Fall is also amazing but I hate the fact that right now everything is dead and winter is coming. I'm so ready for the southern way of life

Michigan, specifically the Detroit area. I love our state, there is so much to do with the lakes and our sports teams! And I love that we are known for craft beer, although missing it right now!
I did live in Maryland for a short time and it's also fantastic. I miss the seafood every day!
From Illinois but trapped in hawaii for another 4 months.
I love Chicago, all the traditions, food and four seasons and the fact that summer is short (not hot weather people). I love all the fests . We can't wait to get back there.
Grand rapids, Michigan! I love love love my state, it's gorgeous year round, and my city is just super cool. There's always something to do, it has that big city look, but people are so friendly and nice here and it seems everybody knows everybody somehow!
New York, NY! A southern girl in the city (from Richmond, VA)
After moving here five years ago, we decided to put down roots in Manhattan. Good thing we opted for that second bedroom now that we've got a LO on the way!
I love, love living here. It's honestly one of the great pleasures of my life. I try to take advantage every day of the restaurants, art, and miles of beautiful paths along the Hudson River. The only thing bad I have to say about it is that winter seems to last six months!
Another Michigan girl here! I'm in a smaller town, but right in between Lansing and Ann Arbor so we can go to a bigger city when we want to. I love the seasons here (especially fall), but I'm dreading winter (the last two have been brutal).
@matthewsdm we live in the Columbus area. That was such a good game last night I wish we could've gone! I didn't even think about looking for tickets until too late.
From Winnipeg, Manitoba. (Also known as Winterpeg)
I love our summers they get very hot and there are great beaches within an hour drive from the city. I dislike our winters. So long can last 6 months. And temps get as low as -50 with windchill sometimes.
Despite a lot of the negative connotations people have with Baltimore, I LOVE my city! I love being able to play in social league sports on the weekends and walk to great bars/restaurants at night and even though the Ravens are sucking right now, I love them too!
Originally from the Eastern Shore, Maryland. Moved to Baltimore as a child. Went to college in Eastern North Carolina.
Currently reside in South Central Pennsylvania!
South Central PA is my favorite out of all places I have lived. Beautiful fall colors, Halloween is epic since there is so much haunted stuff around here (Gettysburg), the summers are great, and the rolling hills are beautiful.
I'm from south Louisiana. Cajun country lol I absolutely love the food and culture. We treat everyone like family.
My husband is from Shreveport, we'll be going down to see family for a week over thanksgiving! They make crawfish et tu fe (SP?) and wild boar instead of turkey lol.
First Wisconsin girl to post! From New Jersey (still go back often - almost all my family are there) and now live in a small town about an hour from Madison, WI.
I'm obsessed with my town. It's a tight knit community where small businesses actually thrive and Walmart is a last resort! I love all 4 seasons, even winter, although this year it may be pretty boring without the option to snowboard.
Jersey Girl here! Love the shore in the summer, mountains in the winter & the beautiful leaves in the fall - cannot stand the winter!! It always seems never ending!
I am from Portland, Oregon. I grew up in the bay area, California, but have lived in Oregon for the last 8 years.
I like it because I'm halfway between the mountains and the coast. I also love the Fall, the trees are gorgeous right now. I also like the fact that there is a possibility of snow, but the snow is not overwhelming, and when it does snow, it doesn't last long.
Re: GTKY: Since everyone is asking ... Where are you from?
Born & raised in SoCal & couldn't imagine not living near th the ocean.... SO excited for my lil surfer girl/dude to arrive!!!
The people here are amazing, the BBQ is the best and of course the Royals are World Series champs!
I love living close to the city and having a beautiful change in seasons.
The thing I love the most is the amazing Tex-mex and the warm weather. I hate the cold
I love threat we have anything you want near by. The ocean, the mountains, rivers, lakes. We have it all.
I love fall in the Hoosier state, but winter is the WORST. The Indy 500 is my Mecca. There isn't anything better than an Indiana sunset. Also, I can't get enough IU basketball!

I guess my favorite things about SC are mild "winters" and soul food
Where are you from? I'm an Iowa girl
What is your favorite thing about your city/state? I love the State Fair LOL and how pretty it is in the fall.

I like being back near my momma after being in Tennessee for 10 years.
I love fall, even though it only lasts a few weeks here!
My favorite part??? It's home!!! I love the people here, everybody is friendly!
