TTC #1 for almost 3 years

Last IUI failed so waiting to see what the RE wants to do.  Go see him next Thursday.  Have an appointment for initial acupuncture treatment Saturday

    CD2

Not very hopeful this cycle.  This cycle will probably not be medicated since I don't see the RE until after the dates I usually take meds

    I use to cross stitch.

    2. TTC #1 since august 2015 with a MC in January 2015 (TTA feb-aug)

    3. Saliva Ferning, OPK's CM CP, Mayan Abdominal massage, Castor packs for her and him, herbs from naturopath and of course acupucture! (and a lot of supplements and vitamins)

    4. CD 22/ DPO 10 testing on monday or tuesday am in no AF

    5. I have been so nauseous the past couple of days and I only want to eat things that come in tortillas. My sense of smell is so heightened I don't even want my DH to come anywhere near me, even the cat smells (well she always smells but I just ignore it b/c she is so dang cute.) I walked into the room I taught yoga in this morning, and almost lost it because it smelled so bad from the class b4 it. I asked the students if they thought it smelled and they all shrugged ***arrrrgggghhhhhhhhh* However having said all of that my breast tenderness seems to be lessening so I might be out for this cycle. I am truly truly amazed by how the mind can play such tricks. If I loose my breast tenderness completely by sunday that'll be me out, if not I'll test monday am when AF is due.

QOTW: maybe not a true answer to the question but I am very very creative with my yoga classes, I craft them with a lot of thought and inspiration. My students have said that no 2 classes they have ever been to have been the same. I hope that is not a bad thing.  :-?

Well it's been a super crappy week for me on the TTC front. I believe I wrote this in previous week updates but after the recall of Bravelle and the cost of Gonal F, we decided to go back to Letrozole.
Long story short, I went on Monday for US on CD 20 and NOTHING had happened. Zero. Zilch. Argh!
No measurable follies and RE looked stumped. I get a call later in the day that they want to induce my period and start the cycle over. Nope. I'm not putting anymore hormones in my body. I've been doing medicated cycles straight since May and I need a break: physically and emotionally.
I haven't been temping because of meds and RE visits so instead I'm gonna do OPKs til I get AF and hope I ovulate on my own then do TI.
Not too optimistic. Next step will be ivf but not til early spring after I switch REs.

Qotw: I'm not a crafty person at all but I do like to crochet.

  • @KLake42, you're totally right.  Knowledge is power.  It will be good to get an answer, no matter what it is.  And I like your sneaking off for sex idea!

  • @klake42 you are so right! Thanks for the reminder!  *sigh* and now I'm back to trying to ignore my BSC SS-ing.

@whiggrrl65 so sorry for your crapy week. Good for you for being clear on what you want! FX you ovulate on you own!
  • Mamafesto from New England

    TTC #2 since 2/15, cycle #4 post-MC

CM, CP, PNV, supplements, chinese herbs, acupuncture, probiotics, BD EOD

CD12 WTO - things seem to be progressing sooner in my cycle this month and i'm thinking I might O before my usual CD15

Feeling strangely optimistic, so I'm just going to try and roll with it. Since my MC I've found out that the 3 other women of child bearing age in my office, my SIL, my partner's cousin, and two of my friends who live in town are all pregnant. I have to admit it stung a little every time I heard about about another getting KU, but I've come to a new place of acceptance and find myself feeling genuinely happy for them. (of course, we'll see if my rosy attitude persists if/when AF shows)

I enjoy knitting but haven't been able to do it in a while b/c of a wrist issue. I also used to crochet slippers with my grandma years ago. She's 93 and she's been crocheting the same kind of slippers pretty much her entire life. Just this year her dementia progressed to the point where she can no longer remember how to do it. Since the entire extended family has always relied on an endless supply of the crocheted booties, I'm thinking I should pick back up where she left off.

    3. This will be our 3rd round of IVF and we are doing FET this time.

    4. We are in the midst of taking Lupron & estrace. I'll be starting progesterone shots soon. Implantation is scheduled for mid November.

    5. We opted for FET and PGS testing with this round, so we are hopeful that this time will be better results for us. We are hoping and praying for good results.

Unfortunately I am not very crafty nor skilled at making much but I do love thrifting and upcycling some of my thrift finds to re-use around the house for decor and especially for parties.

2- TTC # 2 for about a year now but really trying the last 5 months.

    3- charting and OPK.

4- CD3. I really thought this past cycle was it. Things were lining up. And then not only did AF arrive 2 days early but she arrived as I was taking a damn HPT.

5- feeling really discouraged. I know we have only been trying a short time but it was so easy the first time. Each month I feel like more and more of a failure.

QOTW- I love photography. Old school photography. It's been a while but I use to hand color B&w photos.

  • @jenniferk08 - I think having had an easy time the first time makes it all the harder when the second time doesn't go as planned.  Heck, it took 7 months and Clomid for my first and now I'm realizing just how "easy" that was.  At the time, I was so frustrated.  I even remember my husband saying "Can you imagine those poor people who are trying for over a year? I can't imagine how awful that would be."  Jokes on us, I guess...

Anyway, just wanted to say I commiserate with you on this one...  Hang in there.

12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)
  • @Jenniferk08 --I'll jump in with @emsmama15 here and say I get it too. The first time was super easy for us and we expected it would be the same this time. Turns out, not so much. It's hard to deal with that, for sure.

Also, I took a HPT last month and saw AF begin as I finished up the test too. Not much worse timing than that. Sorry it happened to you too. Hang in there!

  • @emsmama15 thank you. I remember seeing my gyn 2 months before getting KU and telling her see you soon. And sure enough I was pregnant the first month trying.
So we figured it would be that way this time. and too add to the fun I have a family history of cancer in my family. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and my maternal grandmother died from ovarian cancer. I need to do a BRCA test. Even if it's negative they want my ovaries out before 40. I'll be 38 in July. If it's positive then it's breast and ovaries going.

@jenniferk08, I started trying in January and thought it would take a while to get pregnant at my age. I got pregnant on the second cycle and I was so relieved!  I had no idea I would miscarry that pregnancy and another one and still be trying for #1 almost a year later.  It's like the universe did this:
