@Christiniv due to crazy family schedules in Nov/Dec, we told just our immediate families after our 6 week u/s confirmed heartbeats. It was such a great moment and it is a relief to have them supporting and praying for us, but I also have this irrational fear that I jinxed things for announcing it so early! We just told them that it was obviously very early, and we have had struggles along the way, which is more reason we need their love right now. As far as telling others, we think we will send out Christmas cards announcing it! I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow so that will make us 12+ weeks!

@Rachd110 triggering tonight? Exciting! My appointment went great today!! I did have growth, an 18 and a 17 being the biggest and then there are 12s, 14s, 15 and a 16, and still some 11s and 10s. The little guys caught up a little bit are still smaller. However, there are some good sized ones too. They upped my Follistim to 300 and decreased my Menopur to 1 powder vial. I have a Feeling I will trigger tomorrow night with HCG and then go in for ER Friday! FX!
If so, we will be on a very similiar transfer schedule-- we can go through the lovely 2WW together!

HBamama2B ask your RE for Dicleges. It is the only drug on the market that is class a for nausea and morning sickness... It has taken the "edge" off for me and I would have never been able to eat again if they hadn't prescribed it.....

So I'm triggering tonight! I have 52 follies on my right side and only a few on my left. My estrogen level went down—it was 3300 yesterday and only 2300 today. Anyone else experience that? Should I be concerned?
@Rachd110 my estrogen levels also dropped from 2500 to 1100 the night before I triggered. I was worried about it but they still retrieved 16 mature eggs and I am currently pregnant with one. We have our first ultrasound tomorrow. So nervous/excited!

@Rachd110 Mine dropped too and my Nurse called and was like OK you are triggering tonight because your estrogen levels are telling us you are ready. Makes me wonder if that is the norm.

@Colleen0516 Don't be nervous. I was pretty much in the same position. I had the 6 big ones and a few medium sized ones... and RE tried pushing me out as long as she could, but when I went in for the US and Blood work, they told me to bring Ganirelix to take and called me like Trigger tonight. We can't wait any longer. I was scared as crap thinking oh Lord, am I gonna ovulate on my own, are the big one's gonna burst and start oozing just sitting there all this time? I even thought that maybe they would go Houdini and start randomly disappearing. I just has to take solace in knowing my RE has done this so many times before, she knows what she is doing and in the even one of those weird thoughts of mine happened I could always resort to punching her in the face next time I saw her. (LOL...Kidding)
The trigger is gonna send a surge through your body... so I'm praying you get some more growth by the time you go in for ER on Friday! FX!!!

Same happened here. I have PCOS so i had a lot of follicles but not a lot were big enough. I went in for my day 9 or 10 sono and they said I only had 4 large enough. Later that day, they called and said trigger that night becuase my estrogen level was almost 3,000 (up from 2,000 the day before). So when I woke up from my retrieval I was expecting low numbers but I had over 30 mature eggs. You still keep growing over those two days before retrieval and they can't be sure how many eggs are going to be mature based on the size of the follicle, its an estimate.
@Colleen0516 they said exactly the same thing to me. I think it's a balance regardless of the number of follicles. They sound on point! Glad you are getting taken care of and so excited for your ER!
@mclorn I would have thought the NIPT at least would tell both since it isolates by DNA. Wouldn't there just be two strands floating around instead? Not sure about the harmony.
@HBamama2B I'll have to ask.... it looks like NIPT can also determine if there is a male, but not determine the second gender.
NIPT can be performed if the mother-to-be is carrying twins, but the results may not be clear-cut. For example, if the NIPT shows male DNA present (that is, if it detects the Y chromosome), then one or both of the babies is predicted to be male. If NIPT shows possible Down syndrome, it can be difficult to know which fetus is affected, so in all likelihood, an amniocentesis for each baby would be necessary for a final determination. But if the test comes back normal or negative, this is still extremely useful for ruling out chromosomal abnormalities in both fetuses, without the need for invasive testing. NIPT cannot be performed for triplets or higher order multiples.

Today was graduation day for me! Identical twins (the Salvadors) measuring in at 9w5d and 9w4d. Everyone in the office gave me hugs but I wondered about thank you gifts too.
3 weeks until I see my OB though. After weekly visits with my RE since our bfp it feels like an eternity, but I have to remind myself that the odds of anything terrible happening at this stage are very low.
Good luck those of you stimming! We had 19 eggs at ER and 16 at freezing, but it only took one of ours to make 2 babies ;p

@khochanadel congrats on graduating! We graduated today too. I feel like it is a little early given that I am only 7 1/2 weeks, but I guess the doctor thinks everything looks good? I schedule my first OB appointment for 2 weeks from today. Does anyone know what to expect at the first OB appointment. I wonder if it will be different at all given that we did ivf? Also, will they do an ultrasound?
Had our first U/S and everything looks good! One baby, measured 5w5d (I was at 6w0d) and we saw the heartbeat! Going in next week and hopefully we'll actually get to hear it, followed up by my final appointment the next week!

-FET #1- Transferred 2, day 5 embryos =BFN
-IVF #2- Follistim and Menopur = BFN
***11 retrieved, 8 mature, 6 fertilized, transferred 2 (day 3), 4 made it to freeze (Follistim and Menopur) = BFN

I'm nervous though, his exact words at my appt today were "I tried to hold out and help the smaller ones grow, but I can't wait any longer, it's time- I can't let the big ones slip away".. Didn't sound too Promising lol

@mclorn I would have thought the NIPT at least would tell both since it isolates by DNA. Wouldn't there just be two strands floating around instead? Not sure about the harmony.

3 weeks until I see my OB though. After weekly visits with my RE since our bfp it feels like an eternity, but I have to remind myself that the odds of anything terrible happening at this stage are very low.
Good luck those of you stimming! We had 19 eggs at ER and 16 at freezing, but it only took one of ours to make 2 babies ;p
