I am 15 weeks, 3 days today. I have had awful nausea since 6 weeks. Last week my boss was out of town and said that I could work from home. I didn't get sick at all! I felt like a normal person again! Today I went back into work and the nausea has hit again. Has this happened to anyone else?
Yes ma'am! When I was at work, my all day sickness worsened most likely because I was exerting myself and I work in a restaurant with a million smells. When I was in the comfort of my own home, I felt better. As @AmadorRose said, snacking helps a ton.
Is anyone else feeling quite sore? I went for a lie down and hubby went to help me out of bed as I was feeling sore and it really hurt getting up again! Now have dull ache in stomach! Just wondering if it's normal x

Yes very normal. Your body is doing crazy things right now. I like warm baths to help relax

YES!! Our bodies are moving and shifting and busier than ever before. I am so sore and tired and feel like I run marathons by 3PM.

This def. happens to me. Sometimes I wait for it to pass and end up passing out for the night.
I am pretty sure I just experienced lightning crotch for the first time. What. The. Actual. Fuck. It was like fireworks in my vagina. Vagina fireworks. Not cool

When you describe it like that...it sounds kinda cool. Not for me but, ya know, for someone I really dislike.
I wish you a thousand fireworks exploding in your vagina!

I'm sorry, you experienced what now? This is a thing? I should probably be glad I didn't hear about that sort of thing until after I got knocked up, because it sounds horrifying.

I totally used this expression to a friend when she asked me about the pregnancy and the look of horror on her face said "I am never getting pregnant" )
Hi guys I'm 16 weeks 2 days and the last 2-4 days I have had a gas explosion. So much belchjng and the last 2 days serious heartburn. The weird things is that when that pain goes away I'm just left with a dull achey stomach pain. Not like cramps and from what I can tell not in the right place for round ligament pain (it's higher up, just below my ribs) is this gas pain? How do I make it go away? All the answers on the interwebs seem so non helpful. I cannot function as a normal human being when all I want to do is lie down. Gahhh. I had no morning sickness or nausea in my 1st trimester and feel like this is some kind of payback!
Also a stranger asked me on the train if I was feeling ok (I guess trying to breathe deeply from my heartburn) and I burst into tears and could stop for a good 20mins.

The pain you're describing sounds like reflux, which is the cause of heartburn and is SUPER common in pregnancy. I get a burning sensation in my belly after bad bouts of it. Time to stock up on Tums, mama! I'm also doing the heavy breathing thing, just because everything is all squished up. I lose my breath sitting on the couch.

Aaah thanks!!! Currently researching if tums is ok for pregnant women. Also looking at the brand rennie, do you know anything about this?

Tums are definitely ok, they're essentially calcium carbonate that helps coat the esophagus. Haven't heard of rennie but if they're the equivalent to tums, they should be fine.
@gykgonzo It's not common to start that early but it's not unheard of. Hope it's not too much! How annoying.
Shooot thanks to my crappy genetics tums is an essential part of my everyday life pregnant or not! @biancateresa tums are definitely fine. Did your OB office not give you a list of what is A-ok during pregnancy?
So... This is a little on the gross side, but I'm 18w along and for the past couple days I've been having green bowel movements. No changes to my diet, I've been on the same prenatals since the start, no extra iron pills. The veggies I've eaten in the past few days haven't even been green, it's been mostly corn, tomatoes and carrots lately. And I get an intense pain in my mid-back, that's like abdominal pain radiating back, not muscle pain. It's usually after I eat and my stomach will get pretty bloated. I worried about the green color being bile and the pain is right about where my liver and pancreas are. I talked to the nurse at my OB's office and she seemed to think it needed to be checked out right away. I went in to see the on-call doc today (not my regular doc) and she's just basically like "hm, I dunno. Take some gas pills and call back if it doesn't go away." I mean I don't want anything to be wrong but I kind of hoped for more of an explanation. Anyone else ever had something like this or anything?

Did you eat anything weird like fruit rolls ups or something? Even stuff with other shades of food coloring in it can make it turn green. As for the bile, I did colonoscopy prep before and had bile coming out but it made everything yellow and not green but I am no poop expert.
@RoseShadow873 haven't eaten any fruit roll ups or anything like that. No colored candy. Just a few pieces of chocolate. I really can't think of anything I've eaten in the past few days that hasn't been something I've eaten a thousand times before. I guess I'll see if it stays green over the next few days or week or so and pay attention to what I'm eating Seems like if it stays green when I've been eating all kinds of stuff maybe it's not something I'm eating - but I really don't know.
@kalanieileen yeah I was kind of worried it's some kind of virus or infection. I tried reading around online and saw some people suggesting a virus for that symptom but I didn't read anything too enlightening. I wonder if a virus or infection would cause diarrhea? So far I haven't had any of that. Guess I'll just give it awhile and if it doesn't go away I'll probably ask the doc about a virus and see if they can test for that.
@Joness11 if you're not experiencing fever, I would most likely rule out viral infection. Fever is a big indication of your body fighting off infections. But, better to be safe than sorry.
Oh oh oh @Joness11 have you changed your diet recently? Have you started eating healthier? More fruits and veggies, less high-fat and high-grease content? When I did this, my BM was green. It is our body's way of expelling left over fat and icky crap that is stuck to our intestinal walls. During my cleanse, it lasted for about 3 weeks.
@kalanieileen that's a good point about the fever, I haven't checked my temp but pretty sure I don't have a fever. I don't really think I've made any changes to my diet. I mean in general over the past couple months I've been trying to eat healthier, but no real diet changes recently. I'm going to try to pay attention to exactly what I eat and what comes out in the next week or so. Hopefully it just stops being green haha. I hate sounding paranoid but I also don't want to ignore stuff and then have a real problem down the road.
@RoseShadow873 what exactly qualifies a person in being a poop expert and where do I take that test? I think this could be a lucrative path. Can I use poop like tea leaves to tell someone's fortune?

Haha, well gastroenterologists would probably qualify as poop experts. Or people that know a lot about poop? You know there are people out there that have got to be fascinated by it.

I'm just picturing a Harry Potter-style tea reading with Prof Trelawney.
I'm no poop expert, but I deal with it every day! Well... Technically not poop - it is treated sewage... I analyze and run tests on it so we can use it as fertilizer on non food crops... Kind of cool, but kind of gross when you really think about it! Ha ha.
As for green poop - usually happens to me with foods that are high in folic acid.
Anyone else's nipples lumpy?! I have all these bumps on them almost like big zits (bleh!). I assume this is totally normal but wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this???
@AmadorRose yes! Some of hem are like whitehead looking things but others a just red bumps. Also, I think I started leaking! I had this crazy dream I had my baby and couldn't remember the birth at all and then was trying to breastfeed. When I woke up I had a little crustiness (ew, tmi probably, sorry!) on my nipples! Holy hell this is becoming real.
ETA: not a symptom but I'm completely freaking out about breastfeeding, hence the weird dreams. I definitely plan on it but am so stressed about it not working, how much it's going to hurt, how hard it's going to be to pump when I go back to work... Ah!!!

I am seriously dreading the day this starts happening...especially if it happens in the middle of the day. I have a serious phobia of lactating through my top when I'm in public.
I asked my dr about being completely breathless when I lay down at night. I will get in bed and feel like my heart is pounding and like I can't catch my breath. He said it wasn't anything to be worried about and that I should concentrate on taking long, full breaths as I head to bed (or going upstairs, etc) so that I can get the oxygen I need to curb this. I have been doing this with pretty great success. Try that and then ask your Dr. if that's not working...
Mine are not whitehead looking things, just bumpy and lumpy. My areola has gotten smaller, almost as if it's being pulled towards the center if that makes any sense because my nipples are HUGE. Pregnancy is a funny thing.

My nipples have been dwarfed by my aeroelas. They are enormous.
