@mrspepper05 I think that's the thing that's making me most mad...I don't even want dinner most nights (I'm queasy in the evening, and eat the most in the morning/afternoon). I have been trying to prepare things that he'll like, and he can't even heat them up!? Grr. >:P
Speaking of dinner, tonight will be the first home-cooked meal in our new house. Except I'm exhausted. But it's good chili weather so I'm going to push through. My husband was like, "why don't you just get a rotisserie chicken?"...yeah, so not the point, I've been waiting for 6 months to get my own kitchen back without your parents hovering over me watching my every move in the kitchen, dear!

@skruhmin How exciting! I'm sure it will be one of those things that feels like a chore while you are doing it, but that you'll really appreciate when it's done. And it's PERFECT chili weather.
Plus chili means leftovers, so really I'm cooking for several meals Not looking forward to hearing from my picky 4-year old about how he doesn't like it though. Thankfully my 1-year old is a garbage disposal and eats anything.

I hear you. My son hates beans, so chili is out. He's also recently decided that anything that still slightly resembles a tomato is out. He's in a beige stage.
Starting to get a little panicky about having 3 again. Like I'm tired enough as it is with 2 kids how am I possibly going to keep up with 3. And I know that @kynbar5 is laughing her head off at me right now. Anyone else panicking a little?
Lol for the record I just giggled the best advice I can give is good scheduling and get a routine going. We still have a lot of fun but I run a very tight schedule. It's about the only way a day runs smoothly. When this little boy gets here we'll have an 11, 10, 8, 3 and 2 year old. With the 3 older ones gone all day at school it just leaves me with the 3 youngest. 3 year old doesn't nap but (now) almost 2 year old does so that helps. Newborns aren't and can't be immediately put on a schedule (as most of us know) but we've had it all work out thus far so hopefully it just keeps on track lol.

Did you know I make a special mashed potato recipe that's laced with battery acid? Would you like the recipe?
Oh, yes please! I love making new foods intended to torture and maim my child! He once held a partially chewed piece of french toast in his mouth for an hour and a half because he "didn't like the taste of it" despite having begged me to make it. The force is strong with this one.
Definitely planning on wearing baby a lot. I'm just thinking back to how ignorant I was with just one. Like how was I ever that tired with him? He was the easiest kid. It's his brother that's the crazy one!

So excited to dive into a brand new one pound box of See's Candy given to me by my Dad for picking him up at the airport yesterday!!! Anytime pop's! He definitely knows how to get a pregnant lady to do a happy dance!!
Well maybe I have an UO here but I love my menstrual cup haha! @Stormiewinter hope your LO is well fast! Chili sounds so good on this rainy windy day. I think I'm baking frozen pizza though. Just want to not do anything at all today. I was terrified about going from 2 to 3, bc everyone told me it was the most difficult transition. Maybe bc I expected it to be so rough, it didn't seem so bad. Worst thing was always having to wake someone up to drop off/pick up oldest in preschool. I rarely got them to nap together so I could sleep. But at least this time oldest is riding the bus so I won't have to wake them all up and drag them out into the cold.

For me, I found that 1st trimester was the same with both pregnancies, but the second trimester... with ds I felt awesome. I was hungry and energetic and happy and did I mention hungry? But this time, exhausted, nauseous, hormonal, and just determined to enjoy each day as it comes. I feel only a little better than I did during first trimester, which is saying something since I had to go to the hospital a couple times during the first trimester.

Yep. An hour and a half. I kept saying "if you don't like the taste, swallow it and you won't taste it anymore!" but he wouldn't listen. Stubborn as a mule. I refused to let him spit it out because sometimes you just HAVE to draw the line. It was so funny to watch my Mom and husband walk around like it wasn't the craziest thing ever. LOL!
Edited because I'm an idiot. This was SUPPOSED to be in response to the french toast comment. Sorry!!! (Also, just not on the menstrual cups.)
Thanks for the well wishes ladies. Ds seems a little better now that he is getting regular doses of Tylenol and ibuprofen. Doctor was able to rule out the flu and bacterial infections so she thinks it is just a virus. She said the fever was significant enough to do a viral swab and of course I am obnoxiously anxious about it for some reason.
The good news is he fell asleep on the way home so I can catch up a little on mine too.
Also, I think I saw that Target Cartwheel has a deal for 40% off all boots!
ETA: it expires today, FYI
I just got back from Target! Was at the checkout and I'm not very au fait with this Cartwheel thing. My phone is a piece of crap and hasn't enough memory to get any more apps. I didn't realize it was 40% off with app only and the guy working there was overly encouraging me to get it, I stood in line trying to download it and my phone just gave me a big FU. So I ended up leaving the boots behind maybe I'll go back later with DH. Glad your LO is feeling a little better @Stormiewinter!
Leaving for my level 2 ultrasound in a little while. All thoughts and prayers appreciated! Hope you all are having a nice day
I'm gonna clean the house today. Got my first box packed! All LO's clothes, gifts and books we've accumulated. Feels so good to get started and get some of this clutter that's laying around put in a spot, but it just makes me want to get started with everything else! But we have weeks left!
Hey ladies. I had my AS this morning and unfortunately it wasn't the best appointment. Apparently my umbilical cord is not attached to my placenta where it is supposed to be. We have to go see a specialist to see if/how problematic it could be for her. I guess the most common thing is that she could just be a small baby, but it could also cause growth defects. We are certainly hoping it's not serious.
SarahFoley725 I'm sorry that the a/s wasn't a good appointment, and that there was an umbilical complication. I'm sending a lot of positive wishes and thoughts your way that your sweet little girl develops perfectly and that it's a non-issue.
ETA: ADORABLE ultrasound pic of her! My LO had his hand in front of his face the whole time, too.

Thanks Granted its always in the back of my mind, but I don't need reminders of what would have been.
@PinkSunglasses16 I am sorry that happened. Their system should be much more sensitive about date changes and such.
Thanks everyone for your T&P. I'm trying to keep positive at least until we can get into see the specialist and get more answers. My husband has a company party this evening that I'm looking forward to. I get to interact with adults and have something to help keep my mind off of everything.
@SarahFoley725 Hugs to you and prayers that everything turns out ok. @ecwk hope your appointment goes good and just remember the "thumbs up" from the baby! >:D<
