Also, what country are you in again? I want to say Sweeden but that may be my brain making things up!
Well DH and his mother have a somewhat weird relationship. He's an only child and his mother is very protective of him. She has always adored me and always treated me like her daughter which is why her behavior now caught me by surprise. My husband is not very fond of his mother on the other hand sadly due to a lot of family drama and neglect from her side. I don't really blame him for not wanting to involve his mother in his life but she is very lonely. So you might be right, with him moving back to Europe she will once again be on her own. She did say she would come to attend the birth and hopefully she would have come around by then.

Well, I've never met a grandma who could resist her own grandchild. Being rude to you should be an obvious roadblock but if she doesn't realize it, you could always ask your husband to talk to her about it. You are the mother of your child, and anyone who wants to be part of baby's life is going to have to go through you.
My mom was LIVID for about a week, I didn't speak to her for another week after she cooled down, and last night she informed me that she and my dad plan to visit when LO is born. They just can't resist...plus they'll be in a hotel, so I will be able to sleep in peace.
Target, buy buy baby, Amazon - they should all have them.
Side note: I like Firehouse better anyway...
*Edit: Because CEO and not owner. Also here is linkage for anyone interested

Long story short, do what you can to protect your baby while you can; don't smoke, don't go get trashed every night, don't cliff dive. But if you're cracking a cold, eat the damn sandwich. No mother in the history of time has ever been perfect.
I grew up butchering cattle, hogs, and chickens. I didn't have store-bought meat, other than going out to supper, until I was around 21. When I lived in Wisconsin, I took part in hunting, especially deer. Deer are a nuisance there and destroy crops, thereby destroying the livelihood of the majority of people there including my own family. I only disagree when animals are killed purely for sport. If the meat is processed for consumption, that's the food chain.
(I don't have strong feelings about them either way, was JW).

Nov siggy challenge: animals eating Thanksgiving food

I could really get out of hand on this topic but I'll try to keep it mild.
Mmmmmn venison sausage . I can skin a deer with the best of them ! And raccoon because my dad used to sell the pelts when I was a kid. The raccoons would get in the hayloft and poop and pee all over our straw and hay and it can make the animals sick so we would trap them and if they were small we would drive a few miles out and release them , but the others we would get rid of. They are mean and cause disease just like opossums and coyote. I enjoy shooting coyotes to be honest . Being that they have killed numerous cats and one of our dogs I've shot 2 right off my back porch .
Not proud or or ashamed it's just what has to happen when they are over populated.
Not even an ounce of me feels bad for it.
I also have a permit to carry and am a registered RO so my firearm is always close.
Also, please please please tell me you get why this is relevant:
Haha we didn't eat the raccoon lol
I've never had squirrel but I've had rabbit and it tastes like chicken lol
My dad farmed soybeans and corn too.
@jonesl12 There is a huge difference between pest management and hunting for sport. I also enjoy venison, and gator tail, but I would never kill an animal just for the "thrill of the chase" or for a trophy. You hunt to protect yourself, or for food, otherwise you're just being an a**. Also, if you're ever in central FL, feel free to take care of the raccoons who keep eating the seeds out of my garden. I've been soaking sponges in bacon grease and burying them in hopes that they'll eat those instead, but nothing seems to be working...
My dad recently retired because his knees just won't take manual labor anymore. He's had too many accidents to count and recently lost his ring finger. 38 years and mom finally cost him something
I will say, for a man of few words he is funny as hell when he's high on morphine.
Raccoons love cat food. Wet cat food in a can is like crack for them. If you get a live no/kill trap you can just bait it and release the mean bastards somewhere else or trap them and well you know the rest. But seriously cheap ass cat food is the money
I'm so anxious I woke up at 5am! Lol.
