@house86 holy sheet that's a lot of snow! We didn't have anywhere near that much snow, but we did go something like 50 days in a row below freezing. And I think something like 15 or 20 days in a row in negative digits. So I got that going for me. #-o
Yeah my kids missed a lot of school last year with the snow and being too cold.. It was one of our worst winters, they say it's suppose to be a milder winter this year... We will see lol
15 to 20 is nothing to us in the negatives, usually November- april is in the negitives here lol maybe a few days here and there that are in the pluses
I'm not looking forward to winter!!! Last year d/h got me a puppy for Christmas. Yay, but OMG cold trying to potty train and walk. The pup quickly learned how to hold it or go outside in 30 below weather.
Awww Happy baby!!!! Nothing makes me smile faster than a happy baby.
Ours is generally pretty smiley, but sometimes he really makes us work for it. DH and I were thinking about putting a GoPro on the baby's head just to see exactly how ridiculous we are when we are working for those smiles!! I'm sure we give him much to laugh at.
^^^ you have to put him in the sitting position right? And then he can balance there? We are close to this. Rolling though? Never gonna happen. DH concluded his back is too wide, until I pointed out that his huge thighs should generate enough momentum to overcome anything. But first he'd have to try. Not gonna happen.
^^ if we put LO in a sitting position, he can stay for 10-15 seconds before falling. He still doesn't roll over. He is close for belly-back but has No interest in back-belly... Which surprises us since he loves tummy time and sleeps on his belly. Today he stood up holding on to the coffee table. He kept himself propped up for 30 seconds- prob would have gone longer but I didn't want to push it so I picked him up.
ETA: He just turned 5 months and is also a big guy. Huge thighs.

Yes, he can't go from belly to sitting up, we have to put him in position.. He rolls a few times here and there but not too often he's cool where he's placed
I ordered the expensive baby bottle that is supposed to be the most similar to the breast this morning as well as the "magic box" for her crib. Maybe I'm just dreaming, but I'm hoping the box will give me a few more hours of sleep. [-O< pumping a milk stash starts today!
I've been offered a part time position for the holidays at the bakery where I used to work. It's only 8 minutes from my house so my mom/mil can bring LO to me to feed if necessary. It's going to take some coordination and some help from grandparents who live 4 hours away, but I think it'll work out! I'm so freaking excited to get some creative time, adult time, and extra holiday cash!
I think it all looks fine, but I have a very relaxed, hippy, casual fashion sense. I tend to avoid situations where I have to dress up (hence why I worked for vets for so long - scrubs!).
those boots would be fine in my NGO world for an internal function, but not external
Does anyone else's LO suck his/her first finger? For a while, we thought LO just ha a fist up to his mouth. Then we realized he's sucking his finger! It's horizontal, like he's pointing to his throat. It's adorable and what he does when he's tired or focused. (Won't take a pacifier except sometimes a Wubanub in the car.)
Well, it's not a casual workplace, so I'll go with dressier shoes. I wanted to get away with the boots because it will probably be pretty cold. The scarf is a go, though. Thanks!
@ChardeeMacDennis I got some really cute suede wedge booties at target recently. They lace up, but zip on the inside. They're surprisingly comfortable and can be dressed up or down. They had a taupe and black pair. I went with the taupe and have worn them with black, navy, and brown. You could do something like that with tights.

DS still sucks his first two fingers to this day. Only when he's tired, but always the same 2 on his right hand.
@virginiaunicorn11 my guy does this with some of his fingers (he doesn't have a favorite). He actually sticks them so far back he gags himself. He did it right as I was typing this, actually.
Re: Randoms!
1) So sad there wasn't a noticeable transition out of this leap
2) At least the app could have said "HOORAY, you SURVIVED!!!"
Womp womp
PS, Two nights in a row, LO woke up 3x instead of 7. I guess that was the leap ending!
So I got that going for me. #-o

Let me know how the magic box for you you. We love it!!
(1) does the scarf match?
(2) the boots are definitely too casual, right?
