After LOs dinner tonight I sat him in his rocker and sat next to him on the floor and we talked back and forth for an hour. It was a good time. He's a good conversationalist
Tried to put lo down for bed did really good reading stories but once I put her in the crib she spit out her pacifier to grin and coo and laugh at me then started her stomp stomp thing so she was a very awake not so sleepy baby. But so dang happy so back we went to the playmat for an hour then when I picked her up sat down in the rocker she fell asleep within 20 seconds. She is much more giggly now and into sticking her tongue out at ya. And it is so cute that who cares if it's an hour past when I wanted to go to bed.
At the risk of sounding braggy, I'm so proud of my dude, he cried for about 20 seconds after shots and has been happy or sleeping since...praying he feels ok tomorrow
I love this thread and all the sweet descriptions of everyone's sweet babies. I can relate to so many of them. What a nice acknowledgement for this time in our lives of how special it is forming these bonds with our LOs
LO was up at 6 and I didn't want her to wake up DS so we brought her in bed with us. She fell back asleep cuddling with me and I could have stayed there all morning. Except DS came in at 7 with no diaper on because "I wanted to play with my penis." But that's a different story.
^^ bwahahahaha @Sammy K you've probably just predicted my future, too. ) especially considering I went to change my dude's diaper just a few ago and as soon as I opened it, he grinned huge at me and started to pee. I just covered him back up again real quick, but the look on his face was totally 'haha, I got you'
That face that my LO makes when she wakes up and sees me :x. And when you pick them up and the hug you and just want to snuggle.. It makes all of it worth it!

He actually did this AGAIN while I was changing him and putting him into his 4m photo outfit. Lil' stinker! And that face, again! 'Haha! I got you again!' )
My babe has started to open his arms up big and wide almost to signal he wants to be picked up... It could be total coincidence I'm not sure if there's developmental associations like this at this age (will have to look into that) but it makes me melt every time.
LO napped or was really happy through my sisters wedding shower even though there were a lot of people there!! I wanted to cry from all the noise but he was so happy.
LO always knows a way to cheer me up and make these challenging days better. Her chatter durning meal times, her hugs, smiling with her tongue out when I ask if she wants some booby, her giggles, tickle spots, and generally pleasant disposition. I'm so in love. ❤️
I just can't put him down right away when I rock him to sleep.... Even though I know I should go eat and pump .... He's so cuddly and always hangs onto my shirt in a death grip! I love it.
LO made me burst out laughing this morning! She was laying on the floor on her belly just kicking her legs and bouncing them on the floor when she suddenly just farts really loudly! I burst out laughing which made her giggle.
Also, she just fell asleep on the floor for about 5 minutes and woke up with a really confused look on her face, slammed her face into the floor, then looked up at me and screamed like she's been binging on pixie sticks for a week!
Through teething, a leap, a growth spurt, and sleep regression my guy is still my happy baby most of the time. He slept for four hours last night and just wanted to cuddle on the floor for the rest of the night. We read and sang and laughed and played with the dogs. It was kind of wonderful.
Poor LO had a rough start to the night with teething pain (am laughing at myself of a few days ago, asking if I'd know when he was in pain). After a little Tylenol, he finally went to sleep when I cuddled up with him in bed. He's snorting and sleeping next to me, and my heart's going to explode right out of my chest.
Also, today was the unveiling of my grandfather's tombstone. LO cuddled every family member today. Put his forehead against my aunt's and cooed at her. Gave huge belly laughs for Grandma. Definitely cheered us all up during an otherwise hard day.
My aunt said, "I can't believe he's only four months old. It feels like he's been a part of us forever."
I guess this could also go in the church thread.. I have to brag on LO. We went to church today for the first time in over a month and kept her in the service with us bc I'm not ready to put her in the nursery yet.. And she did so well! She just looked around during worship and then fell asleep on her daddy right before the message and slept the rest of the time! It was so easy! And so nice to be able to interact in person with adults!
