I'm a store manager for a very busy make up/skincare/fragrance store. Not Ulta but the one that starts with a S. My company gets a notification each time there name pops up so I rather not put it here but I manage 50 employees and 6 assistant managers mostly females.
It's a very busy high demanding job but I love it. Besides selling make up I manage budget payroll merchandising operations and anything my company demands from me.
I also own half the store at my house because we get tons of free stuff.
I'm planning to go back to work after maternity leave

I've been a SAHM since and absolutely love it!
I recently started a work from home part time job for some extra cash, but it's just a temp job.
I plan on going back to school soon and getting back into the work force when this little bean starts kinder :)

We are currently working in a medicine that can treat a horribly debilitating and incurable ultra rare disease. I really hope it works out!!!!

I'm a school psychologist, too!! Age 3 through 6th grade. I LOVE my job!!

Edited to add that DH is an assistant principal at a high school so he'll be off for a month during the summer, too! So excited! Plus I have a 9 year old step daughter I'll have every other week to help. She doesn't know we're expecting yet, but she's going to be so happy!

  • 7/8 grade science teacher ... We're thinking that I'll take the fall semester off next year, then work part time following Christmas break.
  • I worked in marketing (online vendor management) for 9 years. Kept working for almost 18 months after #2 and #3 were born, but daycare costs were just too much. I'm a SAHM now, and have a small direct selling wine business that bridged the income gap. Never been happier.

  • I've been a SAHM since my oldest was born. :-)

  • I will be a SAHM. I have a chronic illness (sent into remission during pregnancy!! woo!!) so i was unable to work prior to pregnancy either. However I did keep my own photography business however only worked for one website on my own time and my own schedule.
  • I am a costume designer for a children's theater.... And LOVE it! Can't imagine giving it up:)
  • I work for a fairly large supplement company... I'm in customer service, so I handle general office duties, phones, invoicing, I'll put together spreadsheets of expenses, run reports for management, etc. I'm just a paper pusher but it's a nice, low stress job with good benefits :)
In the past I was a Legal Assistant and before that an Assistant Engineer. I actually really miss engineering but I doubt I would be qualified to get back in the field without more schooling. Honestly I'm just not up to going back to school for a couple years, with a baby, at my age.
So barring any of my old colleagues offering an engineering job I'll be a SAHM. My current job doesn't pay enough for it to even be worth me working and paying for daycare.
I'm really hoping and praying my husband continues moving up at his job and we are making enough that it will be totally doable for me to stay home.
  • I work in the fitness industry, we own a gym and I coach girls all over the world.

My husband was a personal trainer! He was SO good at it :) He's trying to make more money though atm, in a different field... If that doesn't work he will go back to training.

I started with personal training in 2011 but All of my coaching is through email now, it's pretty great I have everything from stay at home moms to figure and powerlifting competitors.
  • I work at a psychiatric hospital. Hopefully, I can be a SAHM after baby #2 comes. DD asks for mommy all day long and it makes me so sad.

  • I'm a jack of all trades. I'm going to be sahm mostly after this baby is born. I am an RN 1-2 days a week. I also coach volleyball and run a herd of around 30 mama cows.
  • Former elementary school teacher
  • I work in a university disability services office as a disabilities coordinator and learning strategist. My educational background is in psyc, behavioural science, education, and counselling. Love my job!

P.S. Kudos to the teachers out there! Getting a full-time teaching gig in Ontario usually takes more than 5 years. You have to really love it to wait that long. Plus I hear that teachers in the states do not get enough credit or pay for what they do! Good on you guys for sticking with it.
  • Teachers in the states surrounding us (I'm in the Midwest) get paid crap. It's very sad.
  • Pharmacist
  • I am currently a figure skating instructor and a costume designer. Formerly, I was a pastry chef and a sous chef in fine dining for 6+ years, until a d-bag exec chef came in and decided he didn't like the fact that the sous chef was more in demand than he was.... I quit after having my hours cut because I have boobs.
I'm LOVING my coaching job though!! I grew up skating and the last few years, I've made my own costumes because they can set you back $500+. Ouch!!

I'm an nurse and work in the medical ICU for adults. I will prob cut my hours to part time, I can get full benefits at 20 hours. DH health insurance is blah and mine I have no out of pocket cost.

Excited to see another critical care nurse! I'm a Surgical Intensive Care RN. I'll most likely be able fo take 6 weeks-2 months off after the baby then continue working. We just can't afford to lose my income. :( Husband is also a nurse so that's always been a great thing that we bond and understand each other with.
