1st Trimester

Am I pregnant?

Hello,

My husband and I have been trying to have another baby and last week I began having morning sickness and fatigue like I did with my son. I took a test this morning and the line was faint but you could tell it was there. Today was the first day in a week I didn't feel super nauseous and I actually felt a dull pain/cramping on my right side like a menstrual cramp. Am I just overreacting or should I be concerned the test was wrong?

Thanks!

Kristen

Read the TOU. It's against them to ask if you're pregnant. Read the instructions with the test, take another one in a few days, post a pic on the "what does a positive test look like" thread on this board, whatever floats your boat, but also read the guidelines before posting please.

  • Take another test, maybe digital, go to a doctor... No one here can tell you for sure!
  • so.. just to make sure i have this right.. you're having some symptoms similar to your previous pregnancy, & have a positive pregnancy test, but you're unsure if you're pregnant..?

    sigh...
  • I have literally no idea if your test was right or wrong.  I was not there to look at it.  I trust your eyes saw a line that most others would see, yes?  If so, pregnant.  If you don't believe it, take another.

  • A line is a line op. Test again if you are unsure.

  • Take another test if you want to know, my first test there was a faint line so I took another one. Maybe get a digital one so it clearly says "pregnant" or "not pregnant" no guessing.

This.  If the presence of a line isn't enough for you, maybe try a digital.  but a simple reading of the directions on the test would have told you that any line, no matter how faint, indicates a positive test result.

I had a faint line on my first test, and my husband didn't believe it, so I took one of the tests that makes a plus sign if it's positive.  He seemed to like that better for some reason.
