Uh oh....

Tmi, husband and I did the deed. Afterwards he was in shower, I was sitting on the toilet Bc I had to pee. I wiped myself after sitting there for awhile. As I'm standing there waiting for him to finish I realize I have liquid trickling down my legs. I tell husband who makes a gross joke about it being him. I sat down for awhile and cleaned myself good while I was waiting for the shower.

So now I'm on paranoid stand by. After my shower I used the bathroom again and made sure I was dry. I know I'm going to be freaked out all night wondering if that was my water leaking or if it was him. And any ache or pain I feel, I'll wonder if it's labor and contractions.

Guess I'll find out tomorrow morning at my dr appt. Makes me want to tell him we are going to have to go old school and he's going to need to pull out!

I was a little paranoid after my husband and I did the deed too. Fluid just kept coming out of me (TMI... I know). I'm a FTM and I'm paranoid about everything so I kept checking every few hours. Paid close attention to see if I had any other symptoms.
Thankfully nothing! Still pregnant (38w) and waiting for the arrival of my baby boy.
So don't worry too much about it. If you notice more fluid just call your doctor tomorrow.

I feel like I'm ttc all over again waiting to see if there is blood when I wipe!!!! I'm telling myself to knock it off. I'm only 34w3d, besides random painful contractions and regular BH nothing's been going on. If anything happens tonight depending on the severity I'll either go in or wait for my 9am appt in the morning.

Never even thought about how "what goes up, must come down".... So gotta figure something out when it comes to sex with him.

If you just had sex it's most likely him!
I think you're fine to wait for your 9am appointment unless you are GBS positive (which I guess you won't know yet if you're only 34 weeks..)
I suggest putting a pad on and then checking at like 6 or 7 to see if there's any fluid. If not then just keep your appointment. If it's wetter than you feel it should be then head to L&D!

It's more than likely him or urine!! Or even a possibility of a mixture of both to be honest.
Unless he has a 10ft curved penis I highly doubt it's your waters. But seen as you have an OB appointment it won't hurt to get it checked out!!

ETA- piss to urine cause I re read what I wrote and shuddered!!

Being nervous that my water broke isn't a dear diary... I'd love to know what's acceptable to write about? Besides announcing you delivered? I've had tons of concerns that I've either called my dr about, gone to l&d for, and googled but sometimes considering I don't have a plethora of pregnant women surrounding me, it's nice to take my subject of concern and present it to those who are going through the same thing I am. Sometimes being told by another woman, yeah been there before is a little more comforting then google spitting out a bunch of terms most women don't understand. But after lurking for months I have yet to find a topic that the majority of the population on here find acceptable to discuss.

And I did do a search on here, But "is this jizz piss or waters running down my leg" wasn't found.

I'm not trying to downplay your concern about your water breaking, as a FTM I'm convinced I'm going to go into labor and not even know it, so I get it.
I'm more commenting the wording of your original post, it does indeed read like a diary entry (as almost all of your posts do). I saw zero questions, requests for support, or for stories about similar experiences.

I think people are calling it a dear diary post because of the level of detail. You probably could have said you had sex and then wondered if your leakage was semen or amniotic fluid, without mentioning sitting on the toilet, for a while, waiting on your husband to finish his shower, cleaned yourself "good", used the bathroom again..... You see my point?

Although I agree there was far more information than necessary, I'd like to remind you that prior to getting pregnant there was somewhere for your man's stuff to go (aka sperm went in search of an egg). Now your cervix is closed so the only place for it to go is back the way in came in.

So yes. Probably jizz piss. Lovely term.

But if you're nervous and if it's urgent why post about it? You should be calling your doctor!

A.) The amount of ungodly detail you have here is undeniably gross. I doubt any of us really needed or wanted to hear about your husband's semen trickling out of your lady bits.

B.) I for one wouldn't be going without a condom/pulling out with a doctor's appointment the next day. Especially with how far along we all are, I wouldn't want to be "that" girl when the doctor goes to do an exam.

Also there are plenty of similar theads that could have been piggybacked upon to ask this question (which really should have gone to your doctor). I think it's well known here that you commonly post new theads vs contributing to existing theads, which may also cause people to associate this and other theads as a "dear diary".

A way to judge if it's your water or not is to lay down and then stand up. Otherwise baby could act as a "cork" and prevent further leaking. Sitting-standing has baby in the same position so is less likely to allow a further leak of you have one.

For what it's worth to the OP, I don't see how it's a dear diary post, either. Nor do I think that's even relevant. There was no direct question but it's pretty obvious that it's an opening to discuss what distinguishes one from the other. Perhaps that's why the first several posts discuss just that.

I have no idea how much water happens when it breaks but I feel like that would be a good distinguishing tell. It's probably more than what he shared with you.

I didn't even see a question mark in the whole post. For me, it's not the concern that OP is starting with, it's that there are other posts to add to or search for water breaking and sex being safe in 3rd trimester, ect ect, but instead we're taking up thread space with very detailed accounts of fluid. All done with the WKing around these parts.

Um. People who are actually involved in this community and frequently interact with other members notice when people have been posting more or less. We actually give a damn about most people and notice those who join and begin taking an active role in the community as opposed to drive by white knights who have only spoken up a couple of times (almost always with negative comments about the regulars.) When typically active people go missing we worry about them and wonder if they and their children are ok. We also get to know people's personality through their posting styles because that's the version of them we're presented with online. The dear diary style is how most regulars have come to know the OP because most of her posts are in that vein.

In regards to the original topic, "jizz piss" will smell pretty much as expected for what it is. Amniotic fluid will have a sweet smell and will leak out periodically after the initial leak or gush. Mine leaked the whole time with my first and I never experienced the gush that is usually portrayed in movies. If you're in doubt about what it is you're leaking I suggest using some wipes (you should have some handy by now) and wiping very well then laying down or waiting until you think you feel it again and seeing what the consistency/scent of it is. You could also (and probably should) just call your doc or go to L&D though at this stage if you think your water has broken.

I'm not trying to bait anyone. Every post I've been reading lately has at least a couple snarky comments about the topic or whatever it the op says. I don't even know how to "bait" people. You know if the OP had titled it "jizz piss" as she has called it I would have done just that, because IDGAF about it. But unfortunately I read it and was absolutely disgusted by it. Now you may get off on reading intimate things about complete strangers I however do not.
