Re: FFFC for October 16

  • YES!! That's it!! :) ETA: it started as a nub theory post, then DD and now I'm assuming a sarcastic title. She's also moving on to the pee stick thread to post about how she's glad there are no trolls there. /:)

Someone please post a picture of a troll and say we are here or something funny. If I had the balls I would do it!!!

  • I don't even know what TOU stands for technically, but I'm surprised there are still members for as hard as they seem to be on people. I don't think I've ever seen anything worthy of deleting, maybe I just miss all of the juicy stuff.

I will also be devils advocate and say I don't mind the Old Wives Tales posts. I made one when I first joined and it was *largely* well received so I'm thankful for that. Maybe I just happened to be the first one so no one thought I was beating a dead horse. Meh
  • I haven't cooked in two weeks. I feel horribly guilty, but just can't make myself get up off my butt and do anything about it.

This might be more a UO than a confession, but I honestly don't see the big deal about people having a gender preference. I've had two miscarriages and understand the importance of a healthy baby, but it's also ok to have a preference about boy vs. girl. I have two girls and think I'll actually be a little disappointed if this one is a boy. I guess it depends on how far you take it. I'm not going to be devastated with a boy or like the lady on the Baby Names thread who calls her child "it" because she can't get excited about another girl.

And on a more frivolous note . . . I've never had Chipotle, but I love Qdoba and scarfed down an entire queso burrito today. I usually can't eat the whole thing. No such problem today!

Whatttttt I didn't see the lady call her child an it. I saw the one where the lady said she wanted nothing to do with a girl. Yikes. I think everyone totally agrees that gender disappointed is real and normal, but like you said it's how far they take it. I would have been bummed if we were having a boy because I've got a small nephew, but we didn't try to have a baby without realizing hmm it could be a boy!

@mrspepper05 I think most people are actually cool with those that have a preference and can empathize with some disappointment that can bring, but a lot of the women that come here to vent seem to have, as you put it, gender devastation which obviously doesn't go over well. Also, I haven't cooked in ages but DH has really stepped up. I am surprised and proud. Also also he used to be a manager at Qdoba so I used to get free Qdoba all of the time. It's way better than Qdoba. #QuesoForevaaaaa ETA: I meant it's way better than Chipotle. Brain is officially off duty for the weekend sorrryyyy

  • Oh and one more, cause like I said I'm a tad bored.

I don't feel guilty about buying lube or condoms or really anything that has to do with my downstairs. Never have, never will. Safety first right!

But yesterday I was at Walmart I decided to grab some, cause well it was there and well why not. As I was browsing some lady literally stopped at the end of the Isle and I could just feel her staring at me as in disbelief or something. Then a couple minutes after another older gentlemen had turned down the same isle and immediately looked uncomfortable and turned around?

I will never understand why people get so uncomfortable about sex or anything included in it. I'm an animal I suppose.

I instantly started thinking about pulling a Samantha Jones.
  • @flowerpower5838 Yes to the queso! I'd be so fat if my DH brought home free Qdoba. Lol.

@cherries2005 - do you look obviously pregnant? Maybe the people staring were wondering why a pregnant woman was buying condoms . . .

@mrspepper05 I'm not too sure if she noticed if I was or not. I had baggy shirt on.  And was specifically only looking at the lube as well, I have a habit of reading every label before I buy something. (drives SO nuts when grocery shopping). so I know she noticed that part at least, if not the pregnancy thing.

But she made it apparent I was the one she was staring at, she stood there almost the entire time I was in the isle.
  • @soxfan9968 I was also thinking I needed to cut back on bumping. DH teases me about it but really it was because a friend on Facebook deleted a post after the comments from myself and some others got a little heated (though still civil). I was like 'I can't believe she DD'd it!!!' Then I realised that it wasn't TB! Anyway I love this BMB too much to leave!

@JessKo08 please tell me you will share that recipe!!!! I've a slice of pumpkin cheesecake in the fridge waiting to be eaten!

My FFFC is that seeing pictures of pee sticks doesn't bother me in the usual sense. It annoys me that people post them because I know that's not how this forum works. But I don't gag or wretch if I see a picture. Obviously I'd never want to touch one or take a good hard look in person or anything but seeing a picture just doesn't gross me out too badly! Maybe I just have a high tolerance for gross stuff!
