**Weekly Symptoms Thread (10/12-10/18)**

If you want to talk/ask about any symptom or non-symptom please use this weekly thread to do so. Do not post new threads as we are trying to keep the board organized. Feel free to use the format to talk about your symptoms (you don't have to, you can just make it more of a discussion). If you have a specific question put some sort of question trigger at the top so people don't skip over it.

Re: **Weekly Symptoms Thread (10/12-10/18)**

  • Progress (week/day): 6w6d

Symptoms: So far I've lucked out and no ms. I do however have bloating and I am more tired. Also I've noticed that my neck/shoulders seem to be really tight and sore. Not sure if that's pregnancy related.

Also I feel like hormones aren't effecting me like I would have thought. Now that I'm pregnant I'm actually more laid back and haven't been getting upset/freaking out like I normally would. Especially when DH purposely tries to push my buttons. He was in a mood yesterday and I said to him, it's like you are the one with pregnancy hormones.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I know it's early but we bought paint for the nursery yesterday. Now we need to find time to paint. We did just buy our house in April and still are trying to get everything painted. So far we have done the living room, powder room, and the laundry room.

  • Progress (week/day): 9 weeks, 4 days. We think. Will get confirmed dating today!

Symptoms: Not a lot this week. I had a few waves of nausea earlier last week, but that's gone. Cramping made a comeback last week and I still notice it slightly. Still tired. The lack of symptoms is worrying me, and I am terrified of bad news today.

  • Progress (week/day):  10/0

Symptoms: My symptoms are lessening up, although I still feel like I could sleep anywhere, anytime.

Rants/Raves/Questions: My biggest rant is a rant at myself. I need to get myself back on track with eating right. I've been so tired that I have given no cares whatsoever about planning ahead/cooking. Today I brought a bit of greek yogurt and strawberries for a morning snack, soup I made over the weekend for lunch, and then some dried apricots and nuts for afternoon snack. But I have no plans for dinner, and I'm in serious danger of eating cheese, crackers, chips and cheerios for dinner unless I get my butt to the store. I've got to get his baby his/her veggies and superfoods! I usually plan out my cooking for the week on Sunday, then go to the store and buy everything I need for the week. I haven't done that the last two Sundays and I've really faltered. I bought some sweet potatoes last week and haven't used them. My goal is to roast them tonight--but what else should I eat with them?

  • @yogahh please update after your appointment!

    Progress (week/day): 7w3d

Symptoms: I'm with @m6agua and still lucking out with no m/s. I do have waves of nausea but nothing crazy. I've noticed some food aversions (like not being able to eat a lot of our fancy anniversary dinner Saturday night...boo), headaches, bloating and extreme fatigue. I could take a 2 hour nap daily and still be in bed by 9:30. Which I think my new bedtime is going to be 9. I'm tired of being a martyr. I'm flippin' tired. I finally gave in and got rice and stuff to make grilled cheese sandwiches because eating heavy food grosses me out these days. As in, I packed a PB&J sandwich for lunch. I'm eating like a 5y/o.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Really excited for our first appointment tomorrow!
  • Progress: 7w4d
Symptoms: so nauseous. All the time. All. The. Time. I want to eat nothing. Then I get hungry for something really specific, eat two bites and become nauseous again. No actual m/s, though. Just ick. Am also tired.
Rant: My doctor wouldn't see me until I was at least 8 weeks and my appointment is next week. It seems so cruel to make me wait SOOOO long when we find out so early now that we are pregnant!

    Progress (week/day): 9 weeks 3 days

Symptoms: Slight nausea, cravings, tiredness, the sore boobs have faded though- and back pain. All over back pain.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm mostly frustrated with myself. I have no focus- which is making reading books for work really hard- and we have a lot to do at our house but I have no energy to do it. I will admit the Hubby is doing a great job stepping up and handling the stuff I normally do. But I'm still really annoyed that I can't get as much done. I think I'll be better once our carpet is replaced- that's my biggest frustration because I can smell the yuck in the pads below anytime it rains it seems.

ADD IN: My hubby's boss keeps telling him that he smells like mildew but no one else can smell it- I can't smell it and I have a super sniffer right now. We've completely changed laundry soaps, added an open box of dryer sheets to our closet, and hubby completely changed body washes.  I currently want to bash his boss upside the head with something since my hubby DOES NOT need this additional stress.
  • @yogahh yes updates! Maybe you could start the weekly appointment check in thread this week?

@vinerie I'm with you on the meal planning. I have been seriously slacking. Part of it is because I have 2 jobs since I found out, but the retail job ends after Halloween so hopefully I can get back on track. I have sweet potatoes to make also. I am thawing out some pork chops to go with them.

Symptoms: I actually feel good ... Right now, at least! Weeks 6-8 were tough due to nausea and excessive tiredness but today I feel so much better. I really hope this sticks around. I forgot what it was like to have any level of energy whatsoever and with an almost 2yo at home, I need energy!

Rants: none - enjoying this day while I feel good

  • Progress: 7 weeks, 4 days

Symptoms: no m/s, but I do get nauseous occasionally. The fatigue hits me pretty hard and I've been napping when DD does. I also noticed my hair getting more greasy, which is strange because my face seems to be clearing up a little bit.

No rants or raves for now.

    Progress (week/day):  7w1d

Symptoms: No MS. I think I'm getting a little blump. I was at our church pot luck yesterday and my pants just unbuttoned by themselves. That was fun.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Appointment tomorrow to hear the HB. Im so excited :)

Question: What is with the robot tickers? Did I miss something?

  • Progress (week/day): 7 weeks 4 days

Symptoms: I have a terrible cold. I remember having a stuffy nose for 9 months with the last baby and I thought that was all it was but now I have a sore throat and cough and my nose is completely raw. And the fatigue and bloating are pretty miserable. All I want to do is sleep and I can't have more than 3 bites without being over full. Blah. And meal planning? How about leftover spaghettios again for DD and pretzels for me. DH can fend for himself. That's about the extent of my meal planning. Oops.

    Rants/Raves/Questions:
Rant - I was up at 3:30, 4:15, and 5 am with DD then the Amber Alert went off on my phone 15 minutes before my 6:30 am alarm. I'm dead to the world today. Rave - I have lost 5 lbs, and now I'm at the same weight where I started my first pregnancy. I guess that's a rave. I'm not exactly aiming to lose weight but it's interesting.

Question - How are you working mama's coping with the fatigue? I can't nap and I have DD when I get home to take care of until she goes to bed around 7:30, then that is my only chance to catch up around the house before I fall into bed at 9:30/10 and then randomly have insomnia. I'm. So. Tired.  I-) ~O)

  • @sillyfox the fatigue is difficult. I work m-f at my office job (no naps) 40 minute commute both ways. Then 3-4 days a week I work my second job right after until 9:30. Plus I work Saturday a full 8 hours. I am normally sleeping by 9 pm and waking up at 5:30 am. The housework has suffered. When I do have a chance I choose to lay around instead of housework even if I don't sleep. DH has been amazing helping out more around the house. I cannot wait until my second job is done at the end of the month.

  • Progress: 9w 3d

Symptoms: I really havent had alot at all and what few I did have seem to be lessening. i still get the occasional nausea, little cramps and twinges, and oh the saliva output! I threw out my lower back the other day so I am dealing with that pain as well, but as far as I know it wasnt due to being pregnant.
  • Progress: 9 weeks, 1 day

Symptoms: miserable still. Still 3 main waves of ms during the day. I have started getting such incredibly bad indigestion. Last night my stomach was turning and churning. I don't really know what to do. I had indigestion third trimester last time, so this early is terrifying. I guess I might talk to my doctor about Zantac? Major dizziness, but I'm assuming that I'm not getting enough fluids.

Rants: pretty sure I just had one. Oops.

Raves: the weather, my husband, my daughter, and this sweet sweet life that I'm coasting through right now feeling hungover 24/7 is still pretty awesome

  • @That1didntcount I'm sorry to hear about your indigestion! Definitely talk to your doctor about Zantac, but my two cents is that Zantac is awesome and I highly recommend it. I take it pregnant or not because I have bad reflux problems and it is a life saver!

  • *********ER visit mentioned with questions at end***********

    Progress (week/day): 7w6d

Symptoms: Well I ended up in the ER last night. I had severe diarrhea, that progressed into just straight blood. It was awful, and scary. Got super dehydrated, and had 3 different people try 6 times to get an IV started. My white blood cell count is super high, and they thought it was my appendix, but an MRI ruled that out thankfully. Now they are thinking that I might have the beginnings of some type of colitis disease starting, or a possible infection of some kind in my bowel :/ I've been having the normal bloating, constipation, cramps, and sometimes diarrhea, but apparently what I thought was just regular pregnancy stuff was actually a bit more, but there's no way I could have known that. Still waiting for cultures to come back to be sure what's going on.....but I'm stressing regardless. An infection or inflammation of any kind puts the pregnancy at risk.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Good news is that they did an ultrasound to check on baby and its house, and everything is looking good. I have a fibroid apparently that they'll have to monitor, but the pregnancy itself is healthy. I got to hear the heartbeat at a nice strong 163 beats per minute. Didn't get to see anything as the monitor was turned, but hearing it was good enough for me.

Anyone else have colitis issues of any kind? What did they do to diagnose?

  • @josie12367 I struggled with colitis for a loooong time but have now been in remission for 5 years. It runs in my family, my mom has it too but she has never achieved remission. I definitely did not feel this way with DS and I was only mildly nauseous with pregnancy 2. Ugh. That's all. I just wanted to complain about it.

Symptoms: still no real MS. I feel queasy on occasion but eating helps it. I'm just tired and my back hurts. My mom told me when she was pregnant with me (I have an older brother) she had terrible back pain in the first tri. Her doctor told her that was normal during second and subsequent pregnancies and that it would go away, and hers did. Hopefully mine will too!

Raves: I have been so ridiculously hungry. I was at the grocery store Sunday night and remembered someone in here recommending watermelon, so I bought some. I now need all the watermelon. Thank you whoever that was! :x

  • @m6agua I almost had a meltdown this morning when I realized my beband was dirty and I couldn't figure out what to wear. Luckily, one of my best friends gave me some maternity pants that I could wear (she probably wore them when she was 9months but I won't be able to wear them past December but I'll take it). The bloat is real.
  • So I am just over 7 weeks and tonight I started feeling cramping/pressure in my lower left side like deep under my pelvic bone kinda by my hip joint. I'm not really sure how to describe the pain but I have no spotting or bleeding. I hope it's just my uterus stretching. I have my first appointment next week so I will probably bring it up then.

Yeah I don't know. This is my first pregnancy so I have no idea what anything is supposed to feel like. On top of that I haven't really had the usual symptoms except bloat and fatigue so sometimes it doesn't feel real.

    7w4d here

My nausea and emotions are off the charts, I'm hungry all the time but 95% of the food in my house makes me feel worse right now. I'm tired all the time and bloating. I'm a tummy sleeper for the most part and that's already uncomfortable.

I'm so ready for my second trimester to start Dx

If it comes and goes throughout the day, it definitely sounds like rlp. It's worst for me when I roll from my back to my side in bed, or if I'm walking too long. If it's a constant, dull sort of pain, it's possible that it's just the ligaments stretching in the pelvis/lower back strain (progesterone and relaxin hormones relax ligaments and tissues during pregnancy so that hips can widen).
