I searched a little but I'm lazy and have a sleepy baby....what the heck did aamm04 do to get banned?!
Oh no!!
Wait, what?! Certainly nothing on this board. I truly have seen only one thing I would consider offensive, and it was not said by a regular. That person was reported by numerous people, btw.
ETA: looks like it was from that "Ramzi-me" thread. Sigh...

@Jenly17 I don't know. I've never been reported myself. I suspect you get an email or PM? As for poor @aamm04, her avatar is now a red sign saying "user banned." I think one is banned after a certain number of times being reported.
You get two warnings before you are banned. So she knew she was on thin ice. The Ramzi thread must not have been the only thing... I don't know what she said on that thread since it was removed. All I'm saying is that we don't know what she PM'd people or what discussions she had with admin before she was banned.
Actually, women will often use the "report" button as a dislike button. If they don't like your advice, your tone, if you disagree with someone, if you aren't puppies and rainbows.... They will report you. Too often the bg don't even pay attention to what they hand out warnings for. I've never seen aamm04 say anything inappropriate. Also, fun fact, according to the TOU you can't "inhibit anyone's enjoyment of TB". So potentially anything you say could inhibit someone's enjoyment and be grounds for reporting. See how that works? Though the Bump didn't always used to be so pathetic... Also, pming people or privately talking to admin won't get you banned. It's people hitting the report button.
The only thing I know she was warned for was for a gif saying "don't feed the trolls". Since then, I have seen the word troll on multiple threads without warning....So not sure now if we can use that word or not, so just a caution to you all. I would say if you are not sure if something is going on warrant a warning, just don't say it. Especially since you might think you are saying something in a snarky/funny way, but things come across different in writing as we all know- it might come off as "harassment".
And I agree with @dabeezkneez, newbies need to understand that the report button is not a "dislike" button. By reporting someone you don't agree with, you are risking them being banned. Often times, its valuable and established members like aamm04. I am sad she is gone. I liked her wit and sassiness. I hope she is lurking still to see that we are all upset that she is gone

I understand what you are saying, but you CAN report/show private messages to admin, per the Bump Guidelines. I only saw that one TOU violation, and she must have had three. One or two of them may have been reported PMs. My point was that she knew it was a possibility, having been warned twice, and did something anyway.

Except you cannot say she "did something anyway". Someone could have reported her for any reason at all and had her account banned. Being banned often does not mean you "did something" to deserve it. It's unfortunate most of the good people on this site get banned because you have the weirdos from babycenter come in here trying to make it like that site. It disgusts me. I can only hope she does like most people and comes back under a new name Man I wish TB wasn't so lame.

Oh wow thanks for the info! I had no idea saying "troll" was ban-worthy. I thought it just meant someone who is stirring up drama... Or does it mean something else?
@tripledaggerWed95976 it does usually mean that but if someone is upset and reports it, well...you might get a warning. Even us that have been around for awhile are trying to figure out what the new "rules" are.
A troll IS someone who tries to stir up drama or start something to get other people in trouble. I will continue to call people trolls if it's warranted.
@mrstmoose wow I can't believe that! I feel like they should definitely be more explicit with the rules if thy are going to give warnings for something so trivial

I want to go on record saying that I never reported anybody. All I'm saying is that if you've had two warnings, fair or not, you may want to lay low for a while. And also that we can't know for certain what she did for those other two warnings or whether or not it was warranted.
I feel like we're treated like children. Especially if she got in trouble for calling someone a troll. So silly. I liked her, so hopefully she is back! :-)

I was wondering about aamm04 too - she was a reg and I never saw her say anything that was reportable. It's a shame that a little bit of snark can lead to a ban. Things are different around here nowadays.

I'm really sad, too. @BumpAdmin, is there a path for reinstatement, by any chance? Many of us really enjoy interacting with @aamm04.

Guess I'll say my goodbye now because I will most likely get banned at some point as well. Especially if you get banned for speaking the truth...
