Hi Everyone, I'm back with a short list of girls' names for my December surprise! Our last name starts with a B and is three syllables. My husband and I like traditional names. Some of the names on my list are very popular I know, but these are names we really love. The family names are Lily (DH had a great grandma whose name was Lillie) and Emma (I had an aunt Emma Jean who died recently). Catherine and Caroline are not family names but names we just really like. Please let me know what you think. I would also love suggestions not on the list or other combos that you like from the list. Thanks everyone!

  • Love Caroline! So adorable!

  • I really like Catherine and it's actually a name I haven't seen on any little ones recently. As an Emily there are a billion of us out there so I'd steer clear of the Emma/Emily ones. I also really like Lily but it's really popular. Caroline is also lovely
  • I voted Caroline. Beautiful name and not overly popular. I also love Elise as a fn.
  • This is kind of out there. But hearing Emma Jean made me thing of Imogene. I often like when people incorporate family names in a new way. So you could always use one of your preferred names with Imogene as a middle to honor your aunt. Lily Imogene or Caroline Imogene.

My BIL and SIL just did Breanna to honor a Brenda, and Rue to honor Rudolph.
  • I voted for Catherine Elise but all of your options are nice. I also really like Alice Olivia, but didn't vote for it because there's a sort of high-end designer brand called Alice+Olivia that's fairly well known.

Oh thats a good point, I didn't think about that.  Thanks.
  • I voted Caroline, but really like all of your first name choices, except Lily (just not a fan). But I don't think you can go wrong!

  • I like them all except Alice Olivia because that's a clothing brand.

  • I like the flow of Emma Catherine
  • @BostonTerrior2008 Good point.  We are definitely not dead set on anything and probably won't be anytime soon.  My goal is to have 3 boys names and 3 girls names at the hospital and then see what happens!  I am leaning towards Catherine for a girl and Evan or Benjamin for a boy.

Thanks everyone for responding, these polls are so helpful.
