I know there was a thread of this a while back but I couldn't find it in a search so I thought I'd start up a new one.
A coworker of hubby's is expecting and he's been telling her things to try to help prepare her. He was sent to the drug store a lot after DS for postpartum items and told her she would need some heavy maxi pads and the ones with wings are nicer. She argued and said her doctor would've told her if she needed anything like that but later asked her OB about it. Hubby has been gloating a bit now.
Re: Things SO has said/done
At least she's prepared now.
I told him that was the dumbest thing I'd ever heard and by that logic I should abstain from bjs during pregnancy or else our daughter would like them later in life.
I was so confused, until I realized he had NO idea that the baby would be in our room for the 1st few months. I don't know what on earth he thought the bassinet was for....hahaha. Looks like we may need to have a talk before baby comes....lol.
And he: fat people's clothes
;-) their ignorance is cute
Also ditto to @BabyRut2015 ! My husband was dumbfounded when I told him she would be sleeping in the bassinet by our bed! He couldn't have honestly thought I was going to get up and go to her room multiple times a night! [-(
At that moment I think I fell in love with him all over again.
In the middle of the night, I stretched my arm out and found his hand folded back under his pillow. I take his hand and then he started rubbing on my fingers. I told him this morning and he has no recollection of holding my hand hahaha
Later that night he was talking to my belly and the baby and saying how they gotta make sure to pamper "momma" and learn what things aren't very nice to say to a lady hehe. He's such a sweet doofus.
Gee, thanks for pointing it out!
He's also gotten more touchy-feely with my tummy lately which is something that I love and melts my little heart.
We were discussing how much weight I've gained because I gained wayyyy more than you're supposed to. But I get compliments all the time that I look great and I'm "all baby/belly" so I don't feel like I look as though I've gained so much. But the scale says otherwise. My husband says yeah, you don't look like you gained that much. Just in your face a little... Oh... Didn't realize that.
Then, the other night he comes in the room while I'm getting dressed after my bath just to inform me my belly is huuuuge and he just noticed how big my nipples got. And he called them... Are you ready? Pepperoni nipples! Lmao rude!
This one is a bit tmi so stop reading now if you wish. Lol we were trying to have some intimate times not involving penetration because it makes me spot and I hate to see that even if its harmless. So afterwards I self consciously asked if I smelled or tasted any different because of all that extra discharge and swamp crotch and all that lovely stuff. And he answered honestly and said yeah it smelled, but its ok cuz he loves me. If we were just dating though it would be pretty gross. Lol I guess I asked for that one right?
His response: "Yeah, you don't stay UN-PREGNANT long enough to see your abs. Maybe you should ask the doctor what they look like while she has you open (3rd csection)".
Thanks, honey.
In his "defense", I have been pregnant 3 times in the past three years. One successful, one miscarriage, and this one.
