Re: Things SO has said/done

  • SO recently told me that he thinks it's hilarious that I have gotten stretch marks on my butt. I had no idea they were even there, so thanks for letting me know, honey. Haha

  • @haylierm lol Gotta love an honest man. Mine has never had a filter so I expect it but sometimes it's a little more honestly than I'd like, especially when he's in his moods where he likes to push limits. A favorite seems to be calling me phat. If I get upset or glare he just goes "what? You don't want to be told you're pretty hot and tempting?" Not in acronym form, no.

... wait, that's what "phat" means? Apparently I live under a rock.

At least according to hubby it does.
  • I did the last of LO's laundry earlier at the laundromat. When I was putting it away, I noticed that the pants that went with my one going home outfit option was missing. Thinking it would just be in my car, went out to check. The pants weren't there, so I hopped in and drive to the laundromat (literally no more than 1 minute from our apartment). Found the pants, came home. As I got out of the car, DH was walking down the sidewalk. Apparently he thought it was taking too long for me to look for the pants, and got worried that I was kidnapped. I think altogether I may have been out of the apartment for 5 minutes...
  • Today, we went to a movie where I enjoyed a soda. I had chugged 8oz of water right before, 16oz of water during, and about 20oz of soda. A lot of fluid for a pregnant bladder. Afterward, I was telling my husband that I really had to pee. He said "yeah, my bladder is super full too. I had a beer and some of your soda." I had to remind him that I had an entire baby on my bladder making it much smaller than his. I told him that I was winning the literally pissing match bc he was using his "one up" tone lol.
  • We went out last night for a nice dinner since it's getting so close to the end. I've been really bad lately about overdoing it and ending up worn out so the whole way through Target hubby was telling me "I just don't want you to overdo it".

I've been having contractions since 10 or 11 this morning but they weren't bad yet so I didn't tell him. They were wearing me out so I wasn't up long before going back to bed. Woke up again around 2:40 and come out to sit on the couch and try to get comfortable (still hadn't told him).

He looked at me and with that "I told you so" voice said "you overdid it, didn't you?" "No, I've been having contractions". It felt glorious watching that cocky expression melt away.
