We are still thinking on possible names. I downloaded an app to help me save names I like, but hubby just wants to think of them on his own. Neither of us really want to use the same name of someone we know - so that's a factor. I've always liked the name Elise (for a girl), but not sure I could get him to swing for that as a first name. I'd settle for middle name
@kayla2356, Something to consider from a Potterhead: Lily Evelyn sounds a lot like Lily Evans (if you haven't read HP that was Harry's mom's maiden name)
@mrstmoose - My grandma's name is Hazel Mae! I like it.
Girl - Shea Eileen (maybe a different middle name, but it was my middle name before I changed it to my maiden name, Shea was my grandma's last namedifferent than the one I said above - Mae Shea together would sound weird, no?)
Boy - Kellen Clayton - Clayton is MH middle name/his grandfather's name. I just like Kellen but that may change too

We have ours picked already Girl- Brooklynn Rose Boy- Brayden Joseph
Although thinking about it I feel like our little girl would need a "j" in there since mom dad and her big brothers all have one lol so it's still kind of up for debate lol
We have a boy and a girl name agreed on - and if we're having twins (will find out wednesday) I'm really hoping it's a boy and a girl.
Boy- Lucas (or Logan) Taliesin (Welsh Name)
Girl- Evelyn Leia
I also like the names Celaena (a book character) and Eowyn (LOTR) for girls but my hubby says they are too nerdy... despite Lucas being a longer form of Luke- so we could have a Luke and Leia... yea... that's not nerdy at all.
If the baby is a girl the name is Evelyn Ann. My grandmother is Carolyn Ann and wanted to honor her is some way. I also love the name Serenity, that was on our list last time around. If we have a boy I have no idea! I was thinking about Oliver. Living that name lately, with either George or Donald as the middle name as that is my grandfathers name.
We have had way to many discussions about names and they go nowhere. I think my husband automatically hates a name I love.
For a boy, we both like Jackson. Of course, he wants to name him Jaxon, but I like the traditional. I have always loved the name James, but my last name is James so that's a no go.
For a girl, I love the name Molly. My DH kind of likes this name, which means it'll probably be Molly. We cannot agree on girl names at all! I also love the name Lucy, Claire, Madeline, and Hattie. My SIL is having a girl and naming her Adalyn...which I think is adorable!
My number 1 pick for a girl is Aubrey, but DD is named Abby and I think that would get way too confusing haha. Next pick for a girl is Ella! Undecided on a middle name. For a boy, we like John Micah or Micah John. We each had a grandpa named John and DH's middle name is Micah.

If our baby is born May the 4th (be with you day), s/he'll be getting a Star Wars name
We've decided definitely on McKenzie June and call her June. I don't know why DH is stuck on McKenzie being the first even though we are going to call her June. I like Everett for a boy, I also like River, Sawyer, James, Hollis, and Ellis. DH likes none of those. He likes Jackson Brett which was DD's name if she was going to be a boy. DH told our pg friend that and she stole our name. Plus, EVERY kid right now is named Jackson or Jaxson (which in my opinion sounds like Jacks-ss-son blah).
Isn't Jackson the #1 name? I know 7-8 little boys named Jackson/Jaxon.

Love it! I also discovered I like the idea of Serenity for a 2nd girls name because of Firefly- but I haven't mentioned it to the hubby yet, I figure I'll wait until after our u/s on Wednesday to see if we're having 1 or 2 before I suggest another name :-)
We are going with Avery for a boy and Adalyn for a girl. We have 5 billion middle names picked out lol but are definitely sticking with A names since hubby and I both have names that start with an A.
We have had a tough time. Hubs is Serbian born and raised and his family still lives there so he wouldn't agree on any first names that aren't Serbian. A lot of Serbian names would be butchered in American English (my favorite girl name is still Milica, pronounced Mil-eet-sa but here it would be said Mil-ick-uh) We finally settled on Luka for a boy and Mira for a girl with my parents first names as the middle names and if we in the future end up with 2 boys he'll let me pick an American name with Theodore as the middle name in honor of his late father
We've got a ton of girl names "left over" from naming our first kid (we were Team Green), but are basically out of boys names we loved -- used 'em on our DS#1 or friends have used them since. So we're going to have to have some very, very long conversations! ha.

We've been going back and forth on names since before we were even married!! My husband's middle name is a family name (Great grandfather, grandfather, father and he all have it!) so if we have a boy that was decided for us!
Right now the top contender for a boy is Harrison (middle name Dunbar!)
@dshannah - my husband is a James who goes by Jamie. I keep trying to convince him to let us name our baby James if she's a girl. He doesn't want a junior but I think a little girl with her daddy's name would be so precious!
@KEE787 Love it! A lot of the college kids I teach have "boys'" names: chapman, Ryan, Lincoln, Riley, Jordan, chandler... Never met a James but I'd love to!
Re: Any name ideas yet?
But maybe Cecile Lorraine?
@TheThornBird Does baby have to take BF's last name? I know couples who split their kids' last names rather than hyphenate or have one name "die out."
