  • *****maybe chart stalk? And question!****** Month/Cycle: 2/2 CD/DPO: 19/7 Timing: -1, 0, +1 (supposedly) Testing Plans: I'm going to test tomorrow so I can feel ok about having some drinks. Then wait for 10 dpo. Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: I am starting to really get into the symptoms part of FF. It brings me down to earth to put a symptom in and have it tell me that only 7.3% of pregnancy charts showed that symptom at my dpo. Great way to get myself to chill on all the symptom spotting. Except, who am I kidding. My face is all broken out (literally...never happens.) My boobs are sore (I don't remember them ever being sore after puberty), and and and and list could go on. Only 7dpo. Maybe. I suck. Also, not sure if I trust my chart, I drank last weekend and that is when my temp spike happened. CM is lined up more with a cd14 O, I think. I don't know if I should trust my chart. And I'm really frustrated with my "post O" temps. Random question: can anyone remind me how to remove a pic from my sig? I exclusively mobile bump and forgot that I had added it back in my knot days. GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie? Rigoletto and On Our Own. We got movies from Focus on the Family, or something like that. Too hard to choose from the Disney movies, which I also loved. Oh! And also The Secret Garden. My family hid that one from me, I watched too often.
I finally decided to purchase VIP membership, mostly because of the Early Pregnancy Signs monitor and top signs. I'm at 8 points :-)

  • Good morning ladies!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 14/1-2

    Timing: -8, -4, -1, 0

Testing Plans: not until at least 10+ DPO

Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: happy to be at the TWW. Also thankful that I have a lot going on in October (out of town guests, plus a fun trip to Germany with DH at the end of the month) so it will keep me distracted and not obsessing over the TWW.

GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie?
    Toddler- The Little Mermaid
    Kid- The Lion Ling
Teenager- The Man In The Iron Mask (and it was NOT bc of Leo DiCaprio. It's the story line, haha)

  • @cait5413 Thanks for the comforting words. I want to test so badly, but at the same time I keep feeling these things like AF is going to start today. Ugh I have no idea. Going to go out to lunch with my Mom and Grandma so that'll take my mind off everything for a little while.

    Chart Stalk:

  • Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 22/3

    Timing: -4, -2, -1, 0

Testing Plans: sick of testing early and going through days of BFNs so I think I'm just going to wait for AF this time

Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: too tired this morning to rant or rave about anything lol

GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie? Maybe it's bc Halloween is right around the corner but I love Hocus Pocus!!
  • Congrats @etr152517!!!!!

    Month/Cycle: 4

    CD/DPO: 18/4

    Timing: -4, -3, -1, 0, +1

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalk: My alarm didn't go off this morning so when I realized I over slept and jumped out of bed I forgot to temp!

  • Month/Cycle: 2

    CD/DPO: 22/3

    Timing: -1

Testing Plans: Going to try to wait until after AF is due, but I have a brand new batch of wondfos that are begging to be peed on.

Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: I'm a little bummed about our timing, but my mantra this TWW will be "it only takes one sperm"...

GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie? I was oddly obsessed with The Swiss Family Robinson. Also The Little Mermaid.

  • @laurenm2123 Milo & Otis!! I totally picked up a copy of that in the $5 DVD bin a few years back in hope my future children would love it too! Also a sucker for Homeward Bound!

@teamginger13 I was obsessed with the Olsen Twins and that movie. Can I use a sick day and go watch that stat?!
  • Congratulations @etr152517!! H&H 9 months!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 28 / 11-13 (not sure)

Timing:  I thought it was good

Testing Plans:  None anymore. Unless AF is late...

Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk:  I have only been temping for a week, but this morning it took a nosedive about 0.5 degrees F from what it's been all week, so now I don't think I should even bother testing again unless my period is late. I'm also disappointed that I forgot my office is having a happy hour today (paid for by them and everything), and I should have tested just to get the BFN so I could go and have free alcohol guilt-free. I am 99% sure I'll be seeing AF tomorrow or Saturday, but now I get to come up with an excuse to skip happy hour just in case. So now I feel like

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 22/8 (hopefully)

    Timing: ED/EOD

Testing Plans: Tomorrow so I can have a drink and not be worried. Expecting a BFN and hoping to not get bummed. After tomorrow, waiting for AF to show :(

Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: I really wish I would have started temping right away so I knew for sure I was even in my TWW. It's so frustrating not even knowing for sure if I ovulated but I'm hoping and praying I did. Does anyone know about how long it takes for FF to give feedback? Or does it vary by person and what your temps are doing?

GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie? Matilda I would watch that movie over and over!
  • @sorarose I get a temp drop every cycle 5-6 DPO....read something, somewhere about a second estrogen surge.
  • @francesgrace630 good to know I'm not the only one! I just stopped BC in January so maybe that does have something to do with it.

    Congrats @etr152517!

@MrsB8214 I started temping halfway through a cycle too and FF gave me a dotted O line after several days but no coverline. I didn't believe the O day it gave me though once the cycle was through and I had another full cycle to compare it to. I think it's hard for it to know if you started temping after O.

@smfeuro I don't think that's at all strange to feel that way after loss. I think it's totally normal to have mixed feelings or anxiety about TTCAL even though you know you want to be KU.

    Month/Cycle: 10/8

    CD/DPO: 26/11

    Timing: -2,-1

Testing Plans: BFN again this morning. Bought Wondfos online to reduce my costs related to POAS!

Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: **TW** MC & Child
My temps are all over the map. 2yo has not been sleeping well lately and I've been getting up at all hours and not waking up as consistently as normal. Plus my thermometer has been taking forever to get my temp so I ordered a new one. But I haven't had a drop yet so don't know what's going on since AF is due today/tomorrow. I just don't feel like myself this cycle but they have been kinda screwy since the last MC so I guess I can't put a lot of stock in my feelings at this point.

GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie?
Oh, either Fern Gully or The Land Before Time. I made my son watch them and he wasn't impressed after being spoiled with today's calibre of Disney movies!
  •  @cait5413 don't punish yourself with more testing! So after 5 months of going off BCP, your body is still kinda whacko? That concerns me. This is my second cycle after stopping BCP and I was hoping my body would balance out already.
I am having regular cycles and seem to be ovulating, but my cycles are not quite the way they were before BCP. But my cycles changed over time, too--when I was young, I never got cramps, but post-college they were an every cycle occurrence, so I am glad that they haven't come back with a vengeance, but I still feel like I'm not quite sure what's going on. If things go as FF is predicting, though, I'll be back to the length of cycle I used to have.

  • Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 18/7

Timing: We totally screwed up this month, completely lost track of time and didn't test for ovulation until the day I was supposed to, so only: O and +1 :( hopes are not high

Testing plans: I actually tested today just for the heck of it, BFN. I'll wait a few days to test again. I had a CP back in February so I really don't want to find out TOO soon, but I can't see myself waiting too long.

Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: I just learned about temping so my basal thermometer should be in tomorrow so I can start doing that. Nervous to do it because I feel like I don't know a whole lot about it even though I've been reading and reading, so maybe it's just something you get the hang of once you do it over and over?

GTKY: Tough one! I loved all Disney movies, AND all the movies the Olsen twins made haha!

So you weren't temping? How do you know you O'd on that day then? OPKs tell you you're going to ovulate within 12-36 hours, so if you weren't temping, then you could have better timing than you realize.

@sararose Ugh. I'm so new at this its all so confusing. Lol so I got a strong positive on the 24th, the color of the control line matched the test line perfectly. And on that day I had EWCM. So I just assumed for this month that it was around that day.

Yes, it could be around, but there's a range. Did you test the following days? I get positive OPKs 2 days in a row. An LH surge and EWCM can also come anytime during your cycle, which is why short of an u/s, temping is the only way you can know for sure. You could have also O'd on the 25th or 26th, making your timing a bit better.

personally I'm a fan of Old Fashion or straight up whiskey, also something whiskey tonic, instead of gin.
    And keep that positive attitude!

I like your style. I love a good whiskey, and that is usually my drink of choice. And wine  :D

Yes! DH recently got some Balvenie and a bottle of Laphroaig. They're delicious on one of those oversized ice cubes, and now I want some.

    @mrsschmity- FX for you girl!!

@BioTeach84- My LP has been an average of 11 days but this past month it was 12.  FF said you can have a variation of a day or 2 either way, less days or more days in the Q & A section.  Also, some women have higher temps until AF shows and then it drops after she's arrived.  Or, for some, the temps drops and AF shows that day.  I'd maybe wait another day or two before testing again because it is possible of later implantation especially with shorter LP.  FX for you!!  I totally know where you are at because I was just there 4 days ago.  I totally get it.

@severmilli12- My face broke out a bunch too this past month and that doesn't happen very often.  I chalked mine up to being off of BC.  FX for you though!!

@MrsB8214- So when did you start temping?  without starting from the beginning of the month you are probably not going to get a very accurate chart.

@Kstu728- temping is pretty easy, the key is consistency.  Do it at the same time everyday.  Some people can be sensitive to even a 30 minute time difference, so you may need to set an alarm for weekends or daily depending on your schedule.  Also, you want to make sure you get 3 hours of sleep before taking your temp. Little things that you may not think anything of like breathing with your mouth open or snoring at night can affect it so if you know before you start temping that you have a tendency to snore, you may want to just start vaginally vs orally.  Also things like sleeping with the AC or the temp of the room changing can affect it.  Again, consistency is key!

A;though it's preferable to start temping at the beginning of a cycle (or when AF is gone), I started in the middle of my last cycle, which worked fine for me because I O'd late anyway. Try it out now, and see what happens.

  • @chrlyr That just sucks! You enjoy that well deserved drink tonight and may October bring you good luck!
  • @MNturnsVA thanks.  I'm thinking it probably has a lot to do with stress from work, but I'm hoping there's another reason for it :) Keeping my fx but not getting my hopes up too high.

  • Congrats @etr152517 !

Month/Cycle: 12 /13 (feels like crap to be writing 12 months for the first time urg!)

CD/DPO: 17/1 - can't be sure I have O'd as not temping and got no positive opk but FF says so and ewcm seems to agree!

Timing: at least every other day since AF left - carrying on just in case haven't O'd yet!

Testing Plans: have no tests in the house - will not be buying one unless I get past cd30 (usually 26-29 day cycle)

Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: this is the last proper month trying - if nothing comes of it we will take a break and decide what to do next.

GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie? Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey - Shadow had me in tears at the end every time!
  • @MNturnsVA thank you!! I hope you're back over here in the TWW sooner than later after AF gtfo.

Rant/Rave/Chart Stalk: I got nothin' - just FX for everyone here :)

GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie? Neverending Story I think :)
